Laptop won't reinstall El Capitan

When I try to reinstall el capitan on my laptop (which currently has no os) just Setup closes and returns to the menu recovery until this apple support has been no help, looks that they do not understand what is happening even if I sent a video. I got El Capitan before so it should work. Is there a way I can fix this problem today. I need my laptop for a trip today. Please help me if you know how to solve this problem. https://drive.Google.com/file/d/0B0Vc9dfS3AtCaFNwZ2xySlF5czQ/view?USP=sharing

Have you had problems before? Why you reinstall the operating system.

  • How can I reinstall El Capitan?

I'm really impressed by Sierra to date.  He made my Mac just as slow as a 2000 pre.  I want to reinstall El Capitan.  How can I do this? I have an iMac 21 inch end 2013 model.  Memory is 8 GB 1600 mHz.

You will need to wipe your hard drive and can then restore your backup that you made before the upgrade. You use recovery to wipe and restore.

    Sorry for my English.

I guess you can be in recovery of the Internet that will install the original OSX the MBP came with.  It is normal and expected.  You can install Yosemite and then reinstall El Capitan top.

  • Obtaining of S.M.A.R.T. error when you try to reinstall El Capitan

    Bought end of 2012

    Model: iMac 21,5 "

    Version: 10.11.4

    OS El Capitan

Recently, I deleted the data on my hard drive in the hope of "reset" of the computer to its factory settings. Clear data wasn't a problem, but the reinstallation of the operating system has become a challenge. The computer is not very old, and it has worked very well before erasing the hard drive. But now, when I reinstall El Capitan, I get an error message that says: "this disc a S.M.A.R.T. errors. This drive has a hardware problem that is not repairable. Backup of data as much as possible and replace the drive. »

I feel like the error message is incorrect because it appears only now after I erased the hard drive... I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience, and what tips or tricks you could give? Thank you very much.

Why don't you have confidence the message?

SMART is a system of industry standards designed to predict hard drive failure. SMART errors can be triggered at any time, indicate that the player is under-performing and will probably fail soon.

It is not related to erase you the drive - the chances are that the INTELLIGENT warning appeared quickly when you use the drive normally. It * is * possible that a full erase of drives insisted on the drive that has highlighted (perhaps even accelerated) the problem, but it would have occurred as soon as look at it and the warning should be taken seriously - the drive is likely to fail quickly.

    Hi Alan,

    > This changed after updated my software Driver Scanner, one driver, and since then I could not go back.
That's why I put t use these scanners driver or install driver updates. The most recent version is not always the best thing and the most important: never touch a running system!

Usually the windows system restore needs are enable by default if you are able to restore the system to an earlier point?

  • Solve problems by reinstalling El Capitan?

I have some problems minor but annoying and persistent I want to fix it. One is that by clicking on the red dot at the top left of the window does not close the window, as it should. I have to click on the point, and then click the window underneath. Only after the second click done to close the window. The other thing I may not notice the fault of my computer. It's just that I have trouble opening multiple Web sites or pages of the site. What is normal, I can't say. All I can say is that this situation has not always existed.

I used Onyx and disk utility in an effort to find and fix the problem, but that did not help. Now I'm wondering if it might help to reinstall El Capitan. I also want to know if, in doing so, I could run into unexpected problems.

Have you used the Mac a long time after your last installation of 0? That you have upgraded to El Capitan, Yosemite or Maverick?

Maybe it's time to backup your data and do a clean and fresh installation... If not, perhaps it is little and known bugs...

    Hi ctgreen

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

You can try the following and link methods under each method for more information on the same and see if one of them solve the problem.

Method 1: Start the computer in last good known Configuration

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

    1. Do one of the following:

    ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

    ·         If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

    1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last good known Configuration and press ENTER.
    2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

    2. do one of the following:

o If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

o If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode and press F8.

    3. in the display Advanced Startup Options , use the arrow keys to select the option of safe mode you want and press ENTER. For more information about the options, see Advanced startup options (including safe mode).

  • laptop won't start windows xp up.error win32k.sys?

My laptop won't boot windows xp, to ask if I want to start windows normally or with guests orders or network in safe mode. According to what I try nothing works. It says: an error has occurred with win32k.sys. What is - this and how to fix it?

As you probably know Evesham closed to the public in 2008.

I think that your computer is a portable computer. I can't access a free copy of the manual, but I imagine that you have a copy of the operating system on the hard drive in a recovery partition. Am I wrong?

Before attempting to repair your computer, you will need to back up your data files on removable media. If the computer does not start, you need access to a second computer at home. Do you have a? If Yes is it a desktop or a laptop?

I would also ask if you comfortable using a screwdriver to remove the hard drive of your laptop Evesham, put it on an external support which can be purchased via Amazon and its connection to a USB port on the second computer. These are not difficult tasks, but not everyone wants to take on this task. If not comfortable take your laptop to a local computer repair shop.

As for the repair of your laptop once you have recovered your data files, restore the operating system to factory settings using the copy of Windows XP, which I think is more than likely in a recovery partition. It will be activated by single key, perhaps the F10 or F11 key or you can have an option in the menu that appears when you press the F8 key during the boot process. It also seems that Evesham commonly supplied recovery discs.

If a factory restore does not work I would then test the memory.

My laptop is 2.5 years old and was working fine without any problems so far.

OK... I learned to get the motherboard changed. How much it will cost in India for my laptop?

What do you suggest I should do?

How much will it cost in India?  I have no idea. I live in Europe.

I suggest to ask a repair shop of PC or laptop.

If the cost of repair is more than 50% of the current value of the laptop, you would be better sourcing of a notebook replacement.

  • HP dv9000 vista laptop won't start. Cannot 'fix '; BIOS Diagnostics: all GOOD except Hard Drive check result: replace the hard drive NEED the data from this hard drive!

HP dv9000 vista laptop won't start. Attempt to restore repair result several times cannot be made online. BIOS ran diagnostics, everything was good except the hard disk, hd chk result: replace the hard drive. F11 entered to access advanced hp Recovery Manager options tempted towards the top of the entire disk, all files show while listing to back up, attached to my external hard drive current over the back with success.  Plugged external on another laptop, new files since the previous backup are no where.  Should I buy a new external hard drive and repeat the backup via Recovery Manager Advanced Options or should I remove the internal hard disk and insert it into a case and apply in usb on another laptop to view the files.  I know when my computer crashed, I had too many windows/tabs open and too much process and tried to interrupt a process and I confused his little brain and now he has Alzheimer's disease.  I am freaked because I'll lose everything 2012 including some very important documents and about 50 000 pictures HD (yes I learned my lesson backup!) I am in crisis mode because I recently became sick and my photos and documents is vital for my next year of chemotherapy and radiation. Please advice are extremely appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

This backup after pressing F11 is a HP backup option, not a Microsoft option.

I suggest that you contact HP or ask their Support Forums.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/

It's the normal advice I'd give to record data; but we have no idea of the State of your hard drive.

    Saving your files:

You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

Or, you can download Knoppix > make a bootdisk to > start your system with it (IF your material is all work) > and copy your data from the hard drive like that.

With most HP laptops the first thing that do is to unplug power removed battery and push and hold the power button for 15 to 30 seconds to reset the machine.

After you have done that reset for the power back in and try again, sometimes get you lucky.
