  Now how I do it, it's all in the layer by using the layer target, then UN-target target the highest member of the layer. This allows me to change the appearance of all items in the layer (except the one at the top) without changing the appearance of the layer itself. Then I do the top separately.   tqrtuomo, I was confused by the present, sometimes as well and made the same thing you describe. I think the key, when selecting on a given layer or group is to click on the 'right' of the 'Target' button in the layers panel to the layer/group level. Make sure that there is no 'circle' around the target button or appearance will be assigned to the layer/group.

  There is some algorithm changes of color that have been made to reduce banding problems, especially with the hue/sat filter. If I remember correctly, some FW algorithms have been replaced by algorithms of PS. I don't think that there is a way to support color inherited in a new version of FW, unfortunately.

• Shape not appearing layer does not in my .swf file.

  I was working on creating a banner that I export to .swf format, and I tried to create a rounded rectangle showing only the race so he then the banner would seem to have rounded edges on the Web site.   You must choose to rasterize your output, it's as simple as that. Please read the online help on what SWF functions supported by indigenous vectors. Shape layers are not at home!

  You realize that the Board is in fact the background, and that new layers without content allow you to see through to this context?  You can fill the background with white, or you can disable the grid in Preferences > transparency, but all that will do is make each new layer appear to be filled with white, except that you will be able to see through the underlying layers.

  In the layers panel, if you disable the eye of the layers below it, when you click the box with the pipette, the full value of the color is displayed in the foreground color box and the magic wand (for example) will make the selection of what would be the area of full value if the opacity slider declined up to 100%.

  OK I practice with some instructions and tutorials to familiarize yourself with all the capabilities of Photoshop (Ps) program.  I'm trying to follow these instructions here, How to turn a photo into a painting. CC Adobe Photoshop tutorials however, when I click on the area of layers the bottom appears to be locked? When I click on the new layer appears asking me to name the layer.  I wanted to just follow the instructions Adobe give verbatim but how to unlock it to continue with the other steps in the instructions?  Help, please!

  Looks like you need convert the background into a smart object layer. You can right-click on the layer in the layer panel and choose Convert to smart object, or you can go to the main menu and on the Filter tab, select convert to smart object.
