  I want to make two different lighting configurations for two different texts in Motion 5. The problem is that all the lights affect on the two texts, even if I hold the texts to have their own lights. So is there a way to select which layers a light has an effect? Or is there a way to block fires to hit the other text?

  ... not really.

  If you convert your texts in 3D, then you can use their individual lighting (without adding additional lights) controls to the 'light' them differently. You can make a 3D text look 2D taking depth to 0 and flatten the parameters 'Edge '.

• Bezier Motion 5.0.7 masks appear in the timeline panel, but in the column of layers only. This started happening yesterday. The query projects previously do not have this problem. I can't change if masks appear in the timeline panel.

  Hello, I am working on Standardtised test system designed for functional testing of manufactured products.

  Material, a part of the consinsts system of:

  1. system test unit, which provides the power, charges, generating functions, etc. and a PXI chassis with some devices.

  2. everything is related to a test set-up through a mass at the interface of interconnection.

  3. test contains all the material customized to the DUT.

  The goal is to have several units to test systems that could be easily interchangeable and can accept any test set-up. Any test ficture should be plug-and-play capable on any unit test system. In addition, any component of the system must be interchangeable with a component identical to SW without modification and with different components (different provider, different series, different interface etc.) with the least amount of modification to SW. This requires a hardware abstraction layer. What is not clear to me, what is the recommended strategy and how the software layers should be split between TestStand and LabView.

  Assuming that the usual layers of the Test Application-> Application specific layer-> specific to the software device - plug-in-> drivers, what should go where and how it should be implemented?

  Currently, all layers are implemented in TestStand with ASL and DSSP layers more often intertwined. TestStand sequences directly access LV hardware drivers. Adding new hardware needs to edit these two layers, but exits Test Application intact, but it is clear that this approach is not well dimensionnera.

  IVI is a well established and documented standard. You would have to take design decisions less and less code to write. It is easy to use MAX to assign class-specific drivers. You have existing steps on TestStand to IVI. I don't see where it's more complex than from scratch.

  If you went with IVI, I would use the types of step TestStand place class functions in LabVIEW. If it was me, and using lvoop, I would create a step customized for each class type.

• I can't get rid of the layer names in the general properties tab layers PCB Ultiboard

  A bunch of DXF layer names have been concluded by Ultiboard 10.1 error a few years during a DXF for import operation. I have recently updated to 12.0 and hope that the old layers would be eliminated. I wanted to get rid of them for a long time. I tried to delete the file ub_config in AppData, but it didn't remove them. Is that all you can think to extract them from the clutches of the program? Thanks, Tod

  Hi Tod,

  I suspect one of your design files is the cause.  If you go to Options > CFP properties > general Layers, you see here DXF layers?  If you see the layers, you can select it and then press the delete button?

• Internal matter on the placement of Vias on board four layers with TWO planes of Earth

  My design is a four-layer Board.  Surface upper and lower layers are for routing of traces and power.   Two interior floor plans (the preceding the other separated by an insulating layer) are for all ground connections.  Customer specifies that all ground connections to make for TWO inner floor plans.  When I try to place a via that will connect a trace on the outer surface to the ground, I'm not allowed to connect to more than one internal plan.

  I need to place vias completely through the Board of Directors and connect a trace in inner outer surface for TWO floor plans... Is it possible or assignment that will allow me to do?

  Solved my problem.  Do inner Layer 2 the active layer, turn off all other layers.  Internal stressed Layer 2, r/c on the Properties tab copper box, click connected to the Net, drop-down list, choose DGND, apply, OK. Now place a via. R/c, choose Properties, tab, click on assume net, drop-down list, choose DGND, apply, OK.  via moment connects to the inner layer 1 so much inner Layer 2, b/c, the two are now associated with the net DGND.

• How to remove imported layers to ultiboard layers General property

  I imported several. DXF layers in a project some time ago and now they always appear in the default configuration of each new project. I tried in vain to deselect them and the value by default, but they always appear again. How can I remove them when there is no possibility to do so in the properties page?

  Hi Tod,

  I think what happened is that you have imported DXF layered into a project, then saved the PCB properties as default values, who then saved DXF imported as default layers. To remove these layers, you must remove your config file, which is where the default settings are saved. This will also reset your user interface and all of the default settings, you have already stored.

  I also created a defect (D116800) because it should be possible to remove these layers custom without resetting your configuration.

  Hi Tod,

  "Recovered layers" is created on opening a file if Ultiboard find objects that refer to layers that do not exist in the Council. As a general rule, it should be safe to remove these layers in the dialog box properties of PCBS, because these objects are usually copper coins. First of all, you need to remove all the objects of these layers. An easy way to do it is:

  1. Right-click and hold, dragging the mouse over your design (similar to the way you would normally select with the left button of the mouse)
  2. Release the mouse button, and displays a context menu
  3. Click Select objects on layers specified...
  4. Select one of the layers 'recovered '. Click OK.
  5. Edit > delete

  (I feel like I could be missing here and if so, let me know).

  What does "imbrecated" mean?

  Try to use the classic style for container controls and digital table.  When you use the transparent color on them, they will disappear.

• May I know is there a limit on the creation of new layers of folders? It causes errors in backup?

  Currently I am facing a problem on the back ups. When I run a full backup for all my files and folders in the backup utility, the result would be showed:

  It happens all the time when I checked in the report generated when the backup is complete. And is not only one, but more than 50 errors have occurred in different places of the files and folders.  This has to do with the layers of the files and folders that were created was too large/too deep?  Is there a guideline on how many layers of folder can be created?
