  See replace your preferences and use whatever method that you do not try the first time.

  Reset preferences

  Close Photoshop.

  Press on and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + shift (MAC) and click on Photoshop to open.

  It will give you a warning message to remove the Photoshop settings folder.

  Click Yes to that.

  Note: Resetting the preferences can make you lose your custom brushes and the presets.

This doesn't happen in smaller files. Using OS X Mavericks, Photoshop, CC 2014.2.2, mi 2014 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina.

  I understand that the solution would be just to cut the file into smaller files and design each display of the user interface in a separate but file which would be painful. And it doesn't seem to be a very difficult task to just the layers in group.

  OK, the first thing to try: disable the generator in the preferences of hiking (under Plug-Ins, at the top).

  On my system, generator never took and a week to read information on all layers and is particularly slow on text layers.

  Don't think that you can run the two Bridge CS4 and CS5 at the same time (even with photoshop).  In addition, Bridge CS5 cannot read the cache for Bridge CS4.  We must build its own.

  If you Bridge CS5 to load automatically at startup (default), it runs in the background so that you cannot run CS4.  To disable this feature, it is in the Advanced preferences.

• Issue of Palette tools after the Photoshop CS5 version 12.0.2 update

  After Photoshop CS5 version 12.0.2 update the tool Palette is having a problem. Normally when the cursor of the mouse on the Palette of tools in Photoshop in a hover or leave a small window will appear to indicate the name of the shortcut keyboard and tool. This little window now displayed, but space is empty.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS5 and updated once again, but the problem persists. Now I wish that I should not have updated since the version of Photoshop CS5 12.0.1. Any Photoshop CS5 users have seen this bug with their product? Is it possible to downgrade Photoshop CS5 12.0.1 version?

  p.s The tool-stack window, when the tools by clicking on the mouse and the holding of a second on the tools Palette, will open and display all of the correspondents that can be selected and use.

  I use Windows XP Professional 32-bit as operating system.

  It is a known problem with the update, and Adobe is working on it.

• Lack of layers palette - please help

  Can someone help me please figure out how to get my layers back panel - I tried to reset the workspace, quit the program, I even deleted and redownloaded Illustrator CC but the palette has disappeared.  There is a check mark next to "Layers" but no layers palette.

  Try the list (5) is not relevant here).

  The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

• program error when try to apply extended Photoshop CS5 extended 3D?

  Help, please! Cannot use pushed 3D Photoshop CS5 Extended (my system information is described below)

  I have tried almost everything that is available in the Adobe Library help, also resettled such programs as requested by Adobe support (suspected of getting rid of me), it has not resolved the problem.

  I used to have 3D capabilities and also crop tool has worked well before (now it changes all layers when using cultures even in the background).  My PC is the same, nor have I downloaded plugins or change video cards (these things are too advanced for me!), also restored preferences many times.

  My system makes automatic updates, revised graphics and adobe such as recommended.

  Settings OpenGL is weird... .only access basis, other modes are not put into evidence (normal or advanced).

  ERRORS (for 3D text)

  Some drivers are inconsistent in their errors.

  Photoshop disables GPU settings if the driver says that it is not able, or if the driver goes down, or if the driver returns errors when it does not.

  But ultimately, the problem is a bug in the driver of your video card, and you must update this old driver to try to pick up all the bug fixes that they did in the last 3 years.

  • Layer is now highlighted in blue and can be edited.

  Lately, whenever I start first CS5 my layers palette is reduced to the minimum. He just started this yesterday. He never used to do and I can't think of something I did which caused that. Someone has any idea how to solve this problem? I tried to reset Essentials. That suits him well as I open PS, but as soon as I start it in the layers palette is reduced again. Is this a bug? Or I somehow accidentally put something that causes this?

  Try this: after put all the panels in the place that you like, save the workspace, quit Photoshop, revived Photoshop and see if this new workspace "sticks".

  If this is not the case, try to reset all preferences. Quit Photoshop and that reopen you it, quickly, press in and hold the Ctrl + Alt + Shift key until you are prompted to check the preferences of rearmament.

• Mac Photoshop CS5 - Menus too Long (Yes really!)

  I just bought Photoshop CS5 to stay on the path of upgrading.  I must say I am rather disappointed, the new features do not seem to work as announced and I find a few hiccups - which is the subject of the post.

  In design (or review) the interface for CS5 and Adobe Camera Raw, something seems to have went wrong.

  Menu too long

  Compared to CS4 two menus from Photoshop CS5 have lengthened so that they no longer fit my MacBook Pro screen - menus change and layers.  Thus, the lower part of the menu is the bottom of the screen (or the top, if you're at the bottom of the menu).  Now, it is true that the Edit menu has two more elements (32 instead of 30) but the menu layers has the same number (29 items). In CS5, all menu text elements are more widely vertically spacing leader (no pun not intended) to this problem on a MacBook Pro.

  

  CS4 menus were perfectly legible before so why do it?  What does do?  Someone at Adobe test this?  (obviously not).

  ACR, disappearing in the Dock

  And with the help of Adobe Camera Raw has a similar problem to what him disappears from the window of the cab in the Dock at the bottom of the screen.  Now, I read Jeff Schewe's response to this in another post where he seems to think that those who use the dock are somehow the retards (I'm exaggerating to make a point) but, Jeff, some of us like the Dock and find its presence at the bottom of our screens, reassuring and helpful.  BTW, Jeff, removing the Dock does not help the problem of menu CS5.  Seems to be a sloppy design.

  What would be best would be to ensure that interfaces scale fits on our screens, isn't it?

  BTW, my MacBook Pro screen resolution is defined as recommended.

  Having felt that I was forced to upgrade early and expensive by Adobe to stay on the way to upgrade is it not unreasonable to expect better?  It would be also nice to receive news from work as advertised (somewhat like the chek speel as you type on this new forum - which he doezn can't very well).

• Cursor jumps into the layers palette

  Hello

  I hope someone can help me. When I select a layer in the layers palette to work on this layer, as soon as I click on the layer in the workspace, the highlight layer jumps to the top layer in the layers palette, so I'm on the wrong layer.

  Have I clicked on a wrong setting somewhere by chance or I have to reload CS5?  Hope it makes sense.

  Activate the tool movement (4-way arrows icon) in your tool palette, then look in the box options near the top of the main window of Photoshop...  Check if you have enabled automatic selection [].  If you, uncheck the box.
