lbyproc - JDBC configuration

Hello

My 12.3 Documaker environment is:

1 linux server - database documaker

2 linux server - application site

3 windows machine where documaker studio is installed and configured.

I used to promote the elements with Studio of Documaker on the windows machine. He has been linked to Documaker database using the ODBC connection. Since a few days I tested lbyproc tool and I will "migrate" to my server linux applications. This allows me to write scripts to automate tasks.  The problem is how to set up linux environment to connect to the database. I know that I need to add some new sections to fsisys.ini - and this is more or less as far as I know

You give me a few tips, links, advice, examples?

Is it possible to migrate the settings of windows ini files?

concerning

K.

A good starting point, if you have not been there already, is the documentation. Take a look at page 295, which examines the implementation of JDBC connectivity to your Linux machine. You can probably start with your your Studio environment INI files as your base (make copies of them for the Linux environment), then change for Linux (for example, railways and JDBC).

A possible configuration is to have all your settings, that are common to Windows and Linux in the FSISYS. INI, and then have specific environmental parameters in two separate FSIUSER. INI files. Which might make migration a little easier for you.

  • JCA / JDBC configured for non - XA trying XA Transaction Commit

    I'm trying to create a simple composite SOA BPEL in SOA 11.1.1.5 who use a DbAdapter to run a stored procedure in an 11 g database. The database task are executed only involves a single database and doesn't require transaction support. I carefully strengthened with the creation of the data source and JCA pointing through the DbAdapter to the JDBC DataSource if support for XA transactions is disabled, the JCA pool sets the mode of transaction "without transaction" and the JCA pool uses the value of data source to point to the poolside JDBC JNDI name rather than the value of xADataSource.

    Visually,.

    Definition of data source:
    name = jdbc/myserviceDataSource
    Driver = oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource
    URL = jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbhost.myfirm.com:1521:GENERIC
    Use the unchecked = XA data source
    set the time-out XA = unchecked
    Keep XA connection until the transaction completes checkmark =
    keep the connection once the local transaction = checked

    JCA definition:
    name = eis/DB/myserviceDataSource
    dataSourceName = jdbc/myserviceDataSource
    xADataSourceName = (empty)
    class name of platform = org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.Oracle10Platform
    Transaction | Support for transactions: any transaction

    This configuration works on a single server sandbox and I got it in a second sandbox server. However, after you delete the JDBC and JCA pools to go through the process once more to document the procedure on the second server, I am unable to get configuration working again. The WebLogic domain seems to be to resurrect portions of an old configuration that still refers the poolside JDBC JNDI name in the xADataSourceName parameter. I unzipped the archive DbAdapter.rar to the DbAdapter and verified that the content of the fichier./META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml do not use the xADataSouceName parameter. The deployment Plan for the DbAdapter (called DbAdapterPlan.xml in $SOA_HOME/soa/connectors) also explicitly configures the JCA pool using the dataSourceName leaving blank the value xADataSourceName.

    However, the SOA service using the JCA connection generates this error:

    java.sql.SQLException: cannot call Connection.commit in the distributed transaction.

    Again, I know the theoretical answer to this question is to disable transactions in the JCA and JDBC configurations and do not use the xADataSourceName of the JCA configuration element to point to the JDBC pool. However, after the validation of these items and restart the pools or perform an update on deployment of DbAdapter, WebLogic always seems to create connections via the JDBC pool with transactions enabled.

    Any suggestions?

    Should I just completely the DbAdapter undeploy and redeploy from the SOA's binary installation directory? These are just machines laboratory right now so that is obviously not a response of good long-term for production, but can help to start over with a better procedure to do this refining.

    You must use a driver for your data source non - xa...

    Weblogic documentation...

    Configure the Options of the Transaction
    When you configure a data source JDBC using the Console of WebLogic Server Administration automatically selects the options of specific transaction according to the type of the JDBC driver:
    For XA drivers, Protocol selects automatically the Commit in two-phase system for the treatment of the overall transaction.
    For the non - XA drivers, local transactions are supported by definition and WebLogic Server offers the following options...

  • Steve Muench dynamic JDBC & Configuration.createRootApplicationModule

    Hello

    I use ADFBC, JDev 11 g.

    With the help of Steve Muench of dynamic JDBC credentials, users connect to the database using their own username and password database.
    This works fine unless I programmatically create an Application Module using Configuration.createRootApplicationModule (.).
    in this case, the internal credentials are used.

    The problem is now that I need to retrieve and display the BLOBs. I created a new servlet for this task.
    I know I could set up my own JDBC connection to the database inside my servlet, but this isn't an option (performance).

    So far, I was able to work around this problem by retrieving an instance of the application module using SomeIterator.getDataControl () .getDataProvider ();
    in this case, the connection has been/is made with the correct credentials. It will not work now because there is no page I can retrieve an iterator.

    Is there anyone who knows how this could be done?

    Thank you very much in advance,

    Charles.

    Charles,

    From what I see - you may not release the AM - you not create, so its life cycle should be managed by the adfBindings filter.

  • Client based in 12 G load balancing

    We have a JDBC configuration against an address scan with client load balancing enabled.

    Example:

    JDBC:Oracle:Thin:@(Description=(LOAD_BALANCE=on)(Address=(Protocol=TCP)(Host=xxxxxxxxxxxx.de)(port=xxxx))(CONNECT_DATA=(service_name=XXXXXX)))

    What I understand of Diference between Client-side and Server Load Balancing If you do not use the server load balancing, you can bypass by connecting the service that identifies a particular node of RAC name.

    My question is, if you have a connection pool object this configuration and if the name service maps node to goes down, what happens to the connection connection pool?

    Issue 1) Don't scan address switches to the available according to the name of the service node, then the JDBC driver on the client must file all embusked connections and reconnect the available node? or is all the agnostic client failure of node on and all the old connections available in the pool are available for use?

    The client side or server balancing side basically works for the same purpose. The difference is that you do not have all the customers to reconfigure then change something in the environment, such as adding or removing a node such as the side server.

    Answer your question...

    If you mean the shared server architecture by connection pool, the shared server session connected to node 1 will die and everyone shares this session should log. Failover is not automatic, you must specify the failover clause in the JDBC or TNS connect string:

    TEST_TAF =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)

    (HOST = rac - scan.example.com) (PORT = 1525))

    (CONNECT_DATA =

    (SERVICE_NAME = test)

    (FAILOVER_MODE = (TYPE = SESSION) (METHOD = Basic))

    ) )

    Or if you use failover and load balancing services you set failover described below:

    for 12 c: srvctl $ add orcl db-test - oel6vm1 favorite-available oel6vm2 - tafpolicy BASE - failovermethod SESSION service service - failoverretry 5 - failoverdelay 60

    for 11g: $ srvctl add service d orcl if test - r oel6vm1 - oel6vm2 BASIC EI SESSION m - z 5 AW 60

  • The OSM administrator log-in question

    Hello

    I installed MSO 7.2.2 on my linux.  I am having login issues in OSM Administrator installed on my windows 8.1. I changed omscfg.xml to point to my OSM server under linux. I get error ORA - 12541:TNS:no listener. I thought administrator OSM gets connected OSM server. Why is it trying to connect to databases directly? where can I configure TNS so that I can connect in OSM administrator?

    I have already installed ODAC on windows

    I used linux 64-bit OSM media pack to install the administrator of the OSM. Do I need to use the 32 media pack?

    Thank you

    Problem is solved.

    What I did under windows is correct.

    The question is, jdbc configuration of OSM database on weblogic server, which is installed on linux. This has localhost in the url for the connection pool. I changed it an ip address. This question was raised that I installed the two weblogic and database on the same machine with the same ip address. So jdbc is configured with localhost instead of the default ip. When the administrator OSM tries through weblogic database connection, it uses localhos (windows) and no conclusion listener.

    Thank you

    Ensured that our JDBC configurations are correct in the AM and Weblogic server.

    We lose any other Setup here? Any help is appreciated as we have a demo to the customer on it.

    Hello

    To resolve this issue, go to the deployments on the weblogic console and open DBAdapter. Go to the Connection - Pool of outbound connections where the jndi is configured to talk to the jdbc data source.
    Expand the javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory, and then select the case of connection.
    There you can see that the name of data source is configured in the dataSourceName row while it must be configured in the xaDataSourceName line. This is because the data source, you must have defined as XA (confirmed by going on the transaction tab in jdbc configuration)

  • problem with the client installation, P6

    I installed P6 client project and the server on a workstation and server and they work well. However, when I tried to perform an import I get the below error:

    When I go to help-> about Primavera-> system, I see:

    The strange thing is that I did the installation of the client on the server, for testing, and the application uses the port 3574.

    Am I missing a step in the client to install on a workstation, which requires that you set the correct port? You port can be changed on the client?

    Two possible causes that come to mind are:

    Question - when I opened the Panel database upward in Dreamweaver CS4, all items are check that must be in place to allow a database connection, however, the (+) sign to select a driver to create the connection is grayed out.

    db_connections.GIF

    What I have:

    • I installed Tomcat and works fine on my laptop (XP Wws).
    • I put a copy of the MS SQL Server JDBC driver in the directory of Dreamweaver JDBC (configuration\JDBCDrivers) and (common\lib) directory of Tomcat.
    • Login screen is seems to be configured correctly:
      • conn.JPG
      • In order to make a connection that I hand-coded connection to database of the Web site that works very well. So I know that the application is configured correctly and Tomcat works with the JDBC driver.

    Thank you

    Travis

    As announced by Adobe in August 2007, the JSP server behaviors are among the features deprecated in Dreamweaver CS4. JSP and ASP.NET are no longer supported. In my view, that server models were left in the site definition to test server so that you can always test pages created in previous versions of Dreamweaver, but you can no longer create or modify database connections and ASP.NET or JSP server behaviors.

  • ADF app on autonomous WLS: ORA-01005: password null; connection refused

    Hello!

    I managed to deploy ADF 11 g application on stand-alone WLS 10.3.3. When the application is executed, ORA-01005 error: password null; denied logon is thrown with the stacktrace.

    -WLS runs in a mode of production, so the solution proposed here http://radalcove.com/blog/?p=34 does not apply
    -J' read note metalink running an ADF Application standalone WLS fails with errors Houston-26061 ORA-01005 [ID 958650.1] which suggests that if the WLS is in production mode, then I must create a data source in the WLS I did. Needless to say, DS is applied to existing server instance
    -Jdeveloper ADF 11 g application is configured for deployment with ' Auto generate and Synchronize weblogic - jdbc.xml deployment descriptors
    -Needless to say, the application works fine in JDeveloper WLS
    -One thing that cought my eye is that in the WLS under "Deployments",-> myApplication, console there is a myDBconn of type JDBC Configuration module, which is a database connection created in JDeveloper. So, seems that this application is deployed is still using the JDBC connection and not the source of data in WLS?

  • Users of RoboHelp Server 10: You have configured an external db using JDBC?

    I am trying to set up a new Server 10 installation with the Standard of SQL Server 2014, but I can't get past the Configuration in RoboHelp Server Manager.

    • I think that I created a correct database URL
    • I think that I specified the correct class of the JDBC driver
    • I am using a database user name and password I created in SSMS, so I know that it is correct
    • I'm fairly certain that I have specified the correct path to the sqljdbc_4.1.jar file

    And when I click "Test connection", all I get is "connection failed."

    Calling the docs from RoboHelp Server 10 on this subject "sparse" would be generous. Are there additional steps without papers I need to do first?

    Anyone out there even got it works?

    Finally I got it. The problem was two things:

    • The credentials of the user do not have permissions on the instance of SQL Server
    • The database URL has been unnecessarily complex. All that was needed was jdbc:sqlserver://localhost (by specifying a databaseNAME property actually prevented from working, for some reason any)

    Fix those two problems solved the problem and I was able to connect to the server.
