LCD HP2275w monitor goes dark when connecting to R500 via displayport

I am facing a problem really interesting in connection Thinkpad R500 laptop and LCD HP2275w monitor via displayport. Everything works perfectly except for! When I set up this configuration (in Presentation Director or Ati Catalist Control Center) from this external monitor is only running, namely HP, it does not by itself and also frequently. In fact, it is not out of the all black screen, over a period of 2-3 seconds and then it turns on again. http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=x8GC2QIBBu0 When you browse the internet, Youtube, for example all that's even more frequent, as well as during a game where I play time - Quake 3 Arena. It also happened to me, I got a message error and even BSOD! When using different modes to connect this monitor (e.g. setting the desktop settings to add the external monitor or screen clonning) I don't have such a problem. Unfortunately, I want to use just this mode, when the laptop lid is closed and I work only with external monitor. Because of these problems, it is always impossible.

Thank you very much for any suggestions in advance.

My problem is solved! I've complained on my monitor. I got new monitor with latest revision SPG224 (menu OSD SPG082). Probably a new firmware and screen monitor does not blackout.

  • Network disappears when connecting wrieless printer via WPS button

I have a v3 router WNR2000. When I try to set up my printer wifi via the push button method, the printer connects, but then disappears my wireless network. In its place, there is a network protected password called NTGR_iAZIT in its place. Of course, I don't have a password to log in and see what it is. The only way to get the netowrk back is to reset the router back to factory settings, but then did the same thing when I try to connect to the printer.

Is there a way to get my network back without resetting the modem to factory settings? I deleted the printer on the network, but it does not help.

    Thank you

Yes, I had to reset the router to factory and then manually put settings in place. Worked. Just confused because the automatic installer worked great when I first set up the printer earlier in the year.

  • Laptop freezes when connected to internet via WiFi

I use the laptop Dell inspiron 15r, with Windows 7 ultimate on it. Whenever I connect to the internet via WiFi, after a while, most of the programs I use freezes, and the internet connection is cut off. The same control panel functions do not occur. Also is not possible the normal closing, and I have to force close down at length by pressing the power button. This situation arises that if I use the WiFi. When I use a LAN cable, no problem. This situation is quite irritating, like many times I have no other choice than to use a wi - fi connection and whenever I use it after a few minutes, I have to restart with force, and the cycle repeats. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.

  • (Dell LCD) screen goes blank when I connect. Requires the switching on of the screen on and outside

(Dell LCD) screen goes blank when I connect.  Requires power to the power on and off screen, at least 15 to 20 times before picture stays on.  Any suggestions? No to the problem site so don't have the model numbers.  Dell computer and about 8 years.

Looks like your monitor is having problems sync-ing for the resolution settings that you have defined for your monitor.  When you get your screen is displayed, right-click on an empty area of your desktop-> properties-> (tab) settings.

Then, in the 'Screen Resolution' area, try to move the cursor to the end of 'Less' and click 'apply '.  It will then try to change to this new resolution.  If your screen is empty for now, just wait about 30 seconds and it will return to the previous resolution (which can mean that you need to power cycle your monitor you have done to get it back)-otherwise accept the settings if your display looks OK.  Try to find a solution that works with your monitor.  It is also possible that your monitor is going bad.

  • HP 2009v: monitor going to sleep after connecting to a new PC

My parents have an old pc (HP Pavilion g3770l) that runs on windows XP and a relatively old monitor (HP 2009v). They work perfectly fine, but since his Win XP in most applications no longer work and is not fast enough to support new BONE. So I bought a new PC (HP 8200 Elite SFF) with win 7 pro 64-bit installed.

But when I plug in the monitor to the new PC, I get the message "monitor going to sleep" and the monitor turns off. PC turns. (I can hear the windows startup sound etc.). I tried the menu on the screen to change settings etc but it does not allow me to do. It just goes to sleep.

Combination of old monitor old pc still works.

Please help it was supposed to be a Christmas gift.

This unit may have many configurations, but is it possible that there is more to a port monitor (video output) and that the monitor is connected to happens to be inactive?  This can happen if the camera has built-in graphics card and also a video card is installed.

  • No display on monitor HPx2301 when connected to my MacBook Pro - Snow Leopard OSX

Operating system: OS x 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).

When I try to connect my new monitor with my 15' MacBook Pro I7, scans for a signal (DVI, HDMI, VGA) monitor, can't find one, the message "monitor going to sleep" and then stops.  The Mac detects the monitor but just for a short period.  He sometimes displays in the "preference screen Panal" (sometimes quite long for quite a long time to manipulate its parameters, but then it can detect is more invested)

The Documentation provided was not at all no mention of Apple or OSX.  The copy of the ad does not mention a single restriction WindowsPC

-How can I make this work with my Mac equipped crush (I did not in an HDMI cable yet because I want to confirm that the monitor __should__ be able to work with Apple equiipment.

I discovered via permutation of another working pc/display combination cable, the DVI cable supplied with my new monitor was faulty (it was the first time I tried to use it-directly out of the box).  I will try to replace as a warranty repair.

  • Monitor goes into Sleep Mode immediately after the connection to the motherboard

    Hi all

    My problem is like this.

I have a desktop crt monitor. When I give power to it without plugging it into the motherboard, it's showing a message 'no signal' all the time and never goes to sleep mode.

But when I connect it to the motherboard, the monitor goes into sleep mode immediately. When I delete the connection of motherboard once again, it's back mode 'sleep' and saying 'no signal 'again.

Any other monitor works well with this office properly.

This same thing happens when I am trying to connect this monitor to my laptop as an external display device.

    What could be the problem?

    Kind regards

    James

    Hi Ty,.

I suggest that you check the manual of the monitor to check the frequency of the monitor support.

It seems that the monitor is defective because the other monitor works fine.

  • Monitor does not work, and the also.when of keyboard that I turn on my screen a message appears saying monitor going to sleep, then it goes into sleep mode.

monitor going to sleep, cant access windows because I have several times to get this message.

Connect the computer to another monitor. If the problem goes away, replace the original monitor. Make troubleshooting even for the keyboard. If the problems do not go away, you probably have malfunctions in hardware on the computer itself. You can fix yourself:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

On tests of hardware failures often alleged swapping parts by parts checked. If you can not do the test yourself and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

When my monitor goes to sleep I can't wake him up by clicking on the mouse. I have to restart the computer to be able to see the screen.  I tried all turned on and on the screen but when I do it says monitor going to sleep

I assume you are using a desktop computer you are referring to the monitor going to sleep rather than the course of PC to sleep.

1 check the monitor power management & the display adapter in Control Panel, Manager of peripheral and during that control you the mouse power management and make sure that it is likely to be used for anything wake up.

2 in case of failure, then check the monitor & display settings of the adapter to control panel, display.

3 check manual site or the monitor stand, so the settings recommended.

4 then check the settings of the Control Panel, power options, change plan settings change advanced power settings.  In particular, if it is a USB mouse, you may disable settings settings USB, USB selective suspend setting.

  • Satellite P300 - randomly turns off the power when connected to the external monitor

    Hello

    I have a Satellite P300, Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 512 MB, running Windows 7 ultimate x 64.

Recently, I bought an AOC v22 led screen and connect my conputer via HDMI. Everything works fine, but sometimes my computer off just randomly. I might have something to do with my computer overheating, so I clean the fan, but this was not good.

I think it has something to do with the LED screen because my computer was never off his own.

    Hello

So this also happens if you n t connect laptop to external display? So, you can determine what is causing this problem.

If the computer laptop doesn t turn off without external monitor, you should try to update the BIOS and the display driver. Two updates that you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

You close the lid if you have connected the external monitor?
What operating system do you use?

In addition, it would be interesting to know how you clean the laptop. That's why I use the jet of compressed air that can blow the dust from the cooling fans and you don't have to disassemble the laptop.

    Good bye

  • Pavilion P7-1254: monitor goes to sleep

I leave my computer on 24/7.  After several minutes of non-use, the screen goes black and the power button on the monitor HP ha17 turns yellow.  Most of the time, I just have to move the mouse or press the enter keyboard key and the power button on the monitor turns blue and the screen lights up and asks for my sign-in.  On other occasions, after that the monitor went dark and the monitor power button is yellow, no matter how many times I hit Enter or move the mouse, the monitor not turns.  Sometimes, I get a message saying there is no signal and the monitor going to sleep.  I turned on the screen and off and turned the computer on and off several times, but it still does not light.  Then, when he decided to cooperate, the monitor will light up and work normally.  It has been produced for quite some time now (several months).  Any suggestions?  Also, is it possible to adjust the length of the no activity before the screen will Dim?  Thank you.

    Hello @mdh53,

I read your post on how your monitor goes to sleep, and that you are not able to wake your computer from sleep mode back, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To find the option to configure your options from the Hibernate mode and watch on your computer, I recommend that you restore the power management on your system to the default settings. This is possible by following the steps below:

Step 1. Click the Start button
Step 2. In the search box, type "Command Prompt"
Step 3. Right click on command prompt

Step 4. Click on run as administrator
Step 5. At the command prompt, type powercfg /restoredefaultschemes and press enter

    reference: http://superuser.com/questions/669571/Windows-8-1-64-bit-power-schemes-gone

In addition, I also suggest following the steps described in this document on hibernation (Windows 8) and troubleshooting of sleep issues. This will help you enable your system to wake mode standby successfully.

In addition to the screen, I provided you with a few steps, you can try below:

Step 1. Unplug the power cord at the back of the screen and the wall
Step 2. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute
Step 3. Plug the power cable in the monitor, and then to the wall outlet
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the factory reset option and select
Step 6. Try a different cable to connect your monitor to your computer

If the steps above did not resolve your issue, you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the problem persists. Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. • Monitor goes into power saving mode or restarting PC

I recently bought a Dell XP 8500 with 7870 AMD and Dell U241M monitor.

When the computer is turned off for awhile (overnight, for example), the monitor almost always goes into energy saving mode while the PC starts in the AM (I do not see the BIOS/post visuals). If I stop the PC and power cycle a few times (turn on/off the monitor and the PC at the same time) it will generally work after 3-4 tests.

"Sleep" mode on the PC is turned off.

If I turn off the PC for the night and leave the monitor to go to sleep, the monitor wakes up fine when I move the mouse the next AM.

If I turn off the PC overnight and also If turned off the monitor, PC restarts when I turn on the monitor of the AOS .

If I turn off the PC or the monitor for a few minutes, it will work the next time it starts perfectly. The problems seem to be when he stayed all night.

I have exchanged monitors and see the same problem with the XPS and another monitor, while the U2412M works fine on another PC.

I tried DVI - DVI and DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable with no difference. I tried to plug in a different bar / food. I tried to replace the GPU and checked that GPU power cable connections are tight.

So, I guess that the problem is in the hardware XPS GPU or PSU and I'm quite surprised it didn't fall Dell quality control (or it has been damaged during transport?).

Any thoughts? I don't really want a backup and reconfigure a new Tower and thought that I would get away from this kind of problems by going with a Dell.

    Thank you

    Sam

For those who might wonder what was the end result, Dell has replaced the GPU and now it's fine.
