  OK guys, I'm about a possible switch. I am a business owner who uses the computer Mac for our work. Lately I've been do want to eventually move from our beloved Macs once to another system. So my questions are the following:

  Every Mac since 2006 run windows natively. (this isn't a PC virtual but rather native windows)

  IOS application development is done on Mac afaikt.  If its android or another platform then mac is not mandatory.

  Its a draw upward as much as that of something because everyone including apple returned to exclusive pieces.

  My personal preference for development and other work is systems Mac Pro from 2006 to 2012 and Dell Precision Systems of the A380 to the 3400 and 3500 Series.  The T3500 being very close to the nelahem 2009 mac pro in the processor and chipset and ram etc.

  For my personal stuff, I use a mac pro 2009 or 2010.

  When my clients ask me what to do, ask them how much money they have.  Then I suggest T3400 or workstations precision T3500 with a specific 960 GTX video card that works very well with BIOS A09 on the T3400.  The reason why I buy used T3400 or T3500 which is so I can spend money more on Ram and disks and windows etc.  There are ways to get a legal copy cheaper Pro 8.X.

  If your mac is at least 2009, it will run windows 8 and probably 10. I have run windows 8 Professional 64 bit on my 2009 Nelahem Mac Pro Tower.

  I think that it is very subjective.  Depends on what you need, how much you want to pay, and the learning curve required to use and maintain. Which is better for you is maybe not the best for everyone.  You'll need to shop around and decide for yourself.

  I'm not a developer, but I know you're going to need a macbook pro. It's too slow a processor to do what you are wanting to do wayyyyyyyyyyyyy. 1.6 ghz is for normal tasks such as navigation. You certainly need to do a few upgrades to the Air of Macbook 13 inch if you are wanting to do the development. I suggest strongly a faster processor and at least 8 GB of RAM. You will want to get a Macbook you will have more work, because it will have a much shorter life if abuse you it, that is why I suggest the Pro. Have you checked the refurbished Macbook Pro? I think you could find one close to your price range! If this isn't the case, except a little bit of money, it is not too hard!

  I've always done Web sites with Dreamweaver using HTML, CSS and Jquery. If the customer wanted a CMS, I used Pagelime or CushyCMS. I have an e-commerce site, but if I was called to do one, I guess I would have installed Shopify or something similar.

  I thought I should learn how to create Web sites customized to my clients powered with Wordpress. My reasoning for this is that it provides a free CMS and shopping cart solution for them, and more who knows what other goodies are available? I guess a plethora of fabulous things that I can put on their Web site very easily, like the pages of discussion forum and newsletter opt-in buttons and other thingies widget magic.

  Unless the site you develop is for the Asian market, I don't know why you want to use that particular font. The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters. While you can use the font .ttf and .otf and web fonts, it would be very unusual to use one so great. Pages should load quickly and 78 MB, with a value of faces to download for those who have connections slow Internet is not fast.

  Firefox is the application that installs the xpi file. Just drag and drop the file into an open FF browser, or use the menu open file.

I recommend you to download FlashDevelop (its free, Windows only) and play with some examples of micro. After that, create a new project for mobile with FlashDevelop templates and reuse your code for mobile and compare the results.

  It's really easy once you understand the structure of the project basis and Air vs Flash. I think that the Setup is a bit difficult to understand if you are new to this, but after awhile, it will be a piece of cake.

• Best practice for Web application...

  I'm creating a web site with a lot of Flash stuff on him. I want to load a lot of information from a database server and save a lot of feedback again. It is not a large amount of information either by the way - I don't need to load video clips and things, but there will be loads of resources flash on the site and so many different occasions when it will need to be some loading and the current backup.

  (2) web services? I don't know a lot about Web services, but many large companies seem to be providing out - google, yahoo and flickr for example (- but dya think they use themselves?) I realize I need to learn something a little different as .net (so maybe VB.net or c# or something all opinions which go to there too?) or maybe perl or python or something...
  
  (3) flash Remoting? I have negative feelings about it: I don't want to pay for additional stuff if she does not do much for me - and I understand that with this one I still need my application aside server anyway - so it makes me wonder what's the point? And I also heard that the latest version of flash is not really support very welll...
  
  If anyone has any ideas? I'd like to hear opinions... I care about the performance, and I don't like about how fussy and complicated programming will be. My gut reaction is that web services are the way to go, because in my naïve eyes, they seem like they'll be easier to code and have fewer bugs and therefore be more reliable.   I would say webservices is the way to go. I use them for two reasons:

  1. - It follows the MVC framework. I have usually two versions of my sites (Flash and HTML) and it is easier to import data from a source instead of multiple sources for each development.
  2 - if ever I need to upgrade the display component of the project or to change anything within the business logic Web service approach makes it easier for you.

  If you use Flash Remoting or classic ASP you end up with a solution that only works for himself. Web services are the way to go if your project needs scalability.
