legends in the metadata

How to add captions to the individual images IPTC metadata?   I can only find edit for metadata presets.

I don't see in the metadata in the upper part of the library is to edit the

predefined information.

You should not look up in the library. Look on the right side of the library Module, the metadata Panel (under control panel Keywording and keyword list as shown in the screenshot of assani). If it isn't, press F8 to make it appear.

  • Info of the legend in the synchronization metadata

    Can I sync the info of the legend in the metadata on multiple computers? Our master images are located on a server at my studio. If I add a caption to a picture of my computer, then go to another computer in my studio and synchronize the folder that image is in, the legend does not appear in the metadata.

    You need to register the metadata in the file using the save metadata to file (Ctrl / Cmd + S) order or save metadata in the context menu of the folder. This is because the Synchronize command reads the metadata is not write/save.

    You need to change the preset. Click the text, and then on the toolbar change custom settings, in the legend area.

    You can then save this as a new preset.

  • Change the display of the metadata

    It has been written about how to filter on metadata, or creating metadata presets, but I want to change what metadata are displayed on the right panel.  For example, I still want the location field displayed, the legend of the IPTC, Description, camera, Aperture, ISO and speed and I don't want to have to change the selector metadata for these. Most of the metadata fields are not used and I want to suppress the display of those.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you

    You can use this plugin to build your own metadata Panel types:

    http://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&EXTID=1830027

    I have not used, but the author has a very good reputation.

    If you are a technique more folded, you can create metadata types by editing the config files - see the section 'Adding the metadata custom types' in the Guide to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom SDK 3.0:

    http://www.Adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/DevNet/photoshoplightroom/PDFs/lightroom_sdk_gui.PDF

  • Can I do a find/replace operation "in bulk" in the metadata field "caption"?

    I have about 3000 images in a genealogy library in Lightroom.  I need to go through all the legends and standardize the names of the people.  Is it possible, in Lightroom, or a 3rd party app, which will allow me to find all the "Bill Smith" occurrences in the legends and change to 'William B Smith' (for example).  Edition legends, one by one, in the metadata Panel is much too tedious, and there are many other names as well as Bill Smith to work on. I know that I can find all the images, using the text search cabability.  This is to isolate the channel I want to replace and then by individually typing in the correction for each image that is the problem.

  • Get the metadata from the images information (CS3, AS, JS)

    I tried using AppleScript and JavaScript to get the photo captions using linkXmp.description.

    This works when the image has been edited in Photoshop, but not when it has just been imported into the page and done nothing for her... The answer is "No metadata information available", a fair enough answer because it don't disagree that the information might be there.

    I got a job AppleScript which goes to Photoshop, opens the picture, gets the information, which is closed without saving changes and returns to InDesign to put an overlay on the image with its legend information. The time delay involved in the image opening is irritating, however.

    I tried initially in AppleScript, and when the offer read in the archives of this forum on the edition vs original problem.

    So, I headed over to the Photoshop Forum where a helpful guy gave me a fragment of AppleScript to get information of legend and a fragment of JavaScript to get the linkXmp.description in InDesign.

    I just finished adapting the JavaScript to work with a selected InDesign page item (learned much in the process). But in the end that I was confronted with the same brick wall I met with AppleScript. If the pic is not changed, no dice.

    My friend Photoshopping was surprised that I did raise my difficulty in the InDesign Forum... which I do now, with apologies to all those who may have read passed me on the road to this topic.

    Yes, there is an InDesign only method to obtain this information from legend?

    In the case that everyone faces in this here is an example that tries to get the legend of the bridge for files that have not given xmp.

    #target indesign
    main(); // Call to the main function
    function main() {
         if (app.documents.length == 0) {
              alert("Please have an 'Indesign' document before running this script.");
              return;
         }
         docRef = app.activeDocument;
         with(docRef) {
              // try reading linkXmp
              var caption = links[0].linkXmp.description;
              if( caption == "" ) getCaptionFromBridge( links[0].filePath );

         }
         return caption;

         function getCaptionFromBridge( fileName ){
               var cap = undefined;
               function myReturnValue(cap){
                    //do what you want with the results
                     cap = cap;
                    caption = cap;
               }
               var bt = new BridgeTalk;
               bt.target = "bridge";
               var myScript = ("var ftn = " + psRemote.toSource() + "; ftn("+fileName.toSource()+");");
               bt.body = myScript;
               bt.onResult = function( inBT ) {myReturnValue(inBT.body); }
               bt.send();
               bt.pump();
              $.sleep( 100 );
              var timeOutAt = ( new Date() ).getTime() + 500;
              var currentTime = ( new Date() ).getTime();
              while ( ( currentTime < timeOutAt ) && ( undefined == cap ) ) {
                   bt.pump();
                   $.sleep( 100 );
                   currentTime = ( new Date() ).getTime();
               }
               function psRemote(fileName){
               var file = new File(fileName);
               var tn= new Thumbnail(file);

    Also, is it is shortened to "set Date and time?

    There is no predefined shortcut, but you can add one yourself.

    • Open system preferences > keyboard, then the tab "shortcuts".

    • Select "App shortcuts" in the left column and click on ' + '.
    • In the 'Application' menu, select 'Photos.app. Then enter the title of "set Date and Time...» "and a combination of keys.

      Pictures now displays the keyboard shortcut that you chose in the picture menu.

  • To access the metadata XAVC?

    Hi all

    Is there a way to get the metadata information about the XAVC sequences that has already been registered and transmitted to a computer?

    I did some test shooting over the weekend on a borrowed F5 and I fight to get anything close to a decent slope of Resolve or SpeedGrade. Part of the problem is that my notes are not complete and I don't know what parameters (e.g., gamma), I used for some of the shots.

    I thought it might be a way to access this information via content browser, but I don't see how.

    Thank you!

    Just install the RAW-Viewer. It shows you all the metadata of the files XAVC.
    It took me some time too, to discover. All the time get in CB.
    Please Sony, we need the metadata in the content browser.

    I can see all of my music library, however I can not change the metadata all the more lost all my album art and also a few compilation albums are more contained in the same album.

    I tried to find answers on the internet, but have had no luck yet.

    And help greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Chris.

    I'll add this to my list 'embarrassing problems that there are good reasons not to use a NAS with iTunes.  There are many other positions with the SIN issues that are all also inexplicable.

    Lose the work suggests to me that you did not move correctly from the library. How did you do?  Moving a library: quick response if you use preferences by default iTunes settings: copy the folder integer iTunes (and to ensure that all of its subfolders and files) intact at the other disk, hold down the option/ALT key to start iTunes and on request to select a library select iTunes Library.itl file in the copied folder.

  • Export of legend to the screenshot

    Hello

    I am trying to create a screenshot to my graphic option. Including the legend. It seems pretty good so far:

    Public Sub ScreenShot()
    {
    Limits of Rect = LayoutInformation.GetLayoutSlot (SensorPanelGraph);
    var bitmap = new RenderTargetBitmap ((int) limits.) Width, (int) limits. Height, 96, 96, PixelFormats.Pbgra32);

    Rect bounds2 = LayoutInformation.GetLayoutSlot (mainWindow.SPSMI8Legend);

    DrawingVisual dv = new DrawingVisual();

    using (DrawingContext dc = dv. RenderOpen())
    {

    VisualBrush vb = new VisualBrush (SensorPanelGraph);

    VisualBrush vb2 = new VisualBrush (mainWindow.SPSMI8Legend);

    Origo point = new focus();
    Point LegendOrigo = new focus();
    Point LegendSecondPoint = new focus();

    LegendOrigo.X = origo. X + limits. Width - bounds2. Width - 5;
    LegendOrigo.Y = origo. Y + 10;

    LegendSecondPoint.X = LegendOrigo.X + bounds2. Width;
    LegendSecondPoint.Y = LegendOrigo.Y + bounds2. Height;

    DC. DrawRectangle (vb, null, new Rect (origo, bounds. Size));

    vB2. Transform = new ScaleTransform (0.75, 0.75, LegendOrigo.X + bounds2.) Width / 2, LegendOrigo.Y + bounds2. Height/2);
    DC. DrawRectangle (vb2, null, new Rect (LegendOrigo, LegendSecondPoint));

    }

    bitmap image. Render (DV);

    path access String = Environment.GetFolderPath (Environment.SpecialFolder.MyPictures) + @ "\Graph.png";
    using (FileStream outStream = new FileStream (path, FileMode.Create))
    {

    PngBitmapEncoder enc = new PngBitmapEncoder();

    ENC. Frames.Add (BitmapFrame.Create (bitmap));

    ENC. Save (outStream);

    }
    }

    I know that the code is not beautiful, I'm still only experimentig autour however. My main problem is the following.

    The legend has not much room on the GUI, so it sets itself automatically scroll horizontally and vertically on the window if I fill it too. Unfortunately, the VisualBrush object takes a copy pixel by pixel of the UI object, and the exported image, I see only part of the legend that was visible at the time of the screenshot and scrollbars on each side.

    Question: Is it possible to copy all of the legend, as if it had grown to its full size?

    All WPF drawing mechanisms use the size of the layout of the control. To view the complete legend, you will either need to expand the legend in the user interface, or you do not have to use the technique of the question rendering bitmap WPF create item off-screen (of Alex + ra) to do off the screen.

    To develop the legend, it is possible to measure and organize using the desired size of the legend (although this will change on the screen):

    Rect desiredBounds = new Rect( new Point( ), legend.DesiredSize );

        legend.InvalidateMeasure( );

        legend.Measure( desiredBounds.Size );

        legend.Arrange( desiredBounds );

        legend.UpdateLayout( );

    To update off the screen, you'll either need to remove the legend of its parent and measure then as above, or create a new legend with the same settings make.

    Another alternative would be to declare two legends in your UI, one of them now in a hidden canvas (allowing him to full size without the screen on). This would avoid the need to measure and arrange calls to update the page layout (although Visual legend would be silently updated even when you do not use the screenshot feature) manually.

  • How to remove a parcel and resize the legend of the plot in LV 8.6 as in this link to an example 7.0 LV

    This VI (ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/epd/201150.vi) works exactly as I want to apply for a 8.6 at-, but the property node used in the example is no longer supported.

    I can add/remove sites and resize the legend of the plot with 8.6 using the 'LegNumRows' property, but this property does not behave in the same way.

    It seems like it should be simple, but I must be missing something.

    Thank you to confirm that this property does not work in the same way as in the example when it is used with a XY graph clusters and no dynamic data.

    I left the property node in the structure of the case (just as it was in the original example) while not to jam too when you went to compare two examples - my application does not for the reasons you stated.

    I will implement a legend Manager to ensure the follow-up of the plots in the legend.

    Thanks for the validation test!

  • Legends of the table, only showing on stripchart

    1. I selected 4 captions on my stripchart, but don't see that "Trace 1." No other legends are visible. How to get visible?

    2. how to change the text of each legend? I tried the following before and after the declaration of PlotStripChart, but do not see the texts of #X, only a simple legend "Track 1" INK.

    SetPlotAttribute (g_hmainPanel, SS_PANEL_STRIPCHART, 0, ATTR_PLOT_LG_TEXT, 'INK #1');
    SetPlotAttribute (g_hmainPanel, SS_PANEL_STRIPCHART, 1, ATTR_PLOT_LG_TEXT, "INK #2');
    SetPlotAttribute (g_hmainPanel, SS_PANEL_STRIPCHART, 2, ATTR_PLOT_LG_TEXT, "#3 INK");
    SetPlotAttribute (g_hmainPanel, SS_PANEL_STRIPCHART, 3, ATTR_PLOT_LG_TEXT, "#4 INK");

    I get all traces of four showing on the stripchart.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    John

    Hi QuerulousJohn

    In order to get the various list items in your legend, you can select the .uir, double-click on your graph of band to change its attributes. Select the Traces, and then if you notice that you can select the number of traces as well as looking at you. For each of the four making it appear on your legend, you need to toggle "Track on the legend" in the lower left corner for every one you want to view.

    To set the text for each item in your legend you can actually use SetTraceAttributeEx (panelHandle, PANEL_CHART, 1, ATTR_TRACE_LG_TEXT, 'text');

    When the Panel, the ID of the control chart parameters /, which trace you reference, the attribute and value.

    If all goes well should get things for you, definitely give if this isn't the solution to your problem.

    Have a great day!
