Length of graphics card?

Hello, I own a HP HPE-510F, and my qusetion is what is the maximum length of a graphics card I install in the case. I intend to buy an EVGA GTX 570 and there are two different models of it, a 9 "one with a thumb and a 10.5". I'd rather have the 10.5 inch one because I think it looks better, but that's just me being nit picky. Ultimately if there must be a problem I'll settle for the model 9 inches.

I also, as a side note a Corsair TX650M, so in terms of generating enough power, I should be fine.

DrSesma, welcome to the forum.

The card 9 "should work in the computer.  Normally, I recommend a card is more than 9 ".  Some members have used a card which is 9.25 "successfully.

CC, Yes, you can upgrade the video card.  The PSU 460W, you should be able to buy a very good card.  The only limit is the length of the card.  I am not sure, but I think that any map 9.5 "or less must adapt.  You can measure to be sure.  Open the case and the extent of the edge of the box to the opposite side of the motherboard where the PCIE x 16 slot.  It's the approximate card that fits.  From the looks of the plug, I would say that the computer should be a very good player.

  • How and why to a graphics card?

I recently bought a new windows 7 Desktop HP Envy 700 - 215xt without a graphics card.  Wish I had now. So, it comes with audio embedded and integrated intel Hd Graphics.  What I would find that fits this office that comes with a 300 Watt power supply.  And I have to change anything in the BIOS?  Appreciate any thoughts.

    Green1322, welcome to the forum.

The problem you are having is to find a video card that will be much better than the embedded video using the 300W power supply unit (PSU).  Most newer cards of mid-level require at least 400W to work properly.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  This will give you room future upgrades, as well.  I like the OCZ and Corsair PSU.

As for the video card, you should buy one that is 9 "in length or less.  The best way to know if it will fit is to create a cardboard template and insert it into the space for the card.  If the card has some additional power connectors, you must add at least one inch for the cables.  I love EVGA, Sapphire, XFX and PNY in that order.  The card must be PCI Express x 16.  When you install a discrete video card integrated video is automatically disabled.  Therefore, you don't have to change the BIOS.

  • What is the best graphics card that can fit in the p7-1003w hp?

The card that came with my CPU. the ATI Radeon HD 4200 is too low to run demanding games like Arma 2, so I need a good graphics card that would adapt and balance of my motherboard, so the video card and the graphics card could be facing another.

    CHHeinrich, welcome to the forum.

Before you can update the video, you will need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The existing PSU is only 250W.  New mid-level video cards require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  This will allow for future updates.  I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  This is a power supply that works.  I suggest to measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

Now, you cannot use integrated video when a dedicated video card is installed.  So you don't have to worry about keeping about with one another.  I love EVGA, Sapphire, XFX and PNY in that order.  Here is a video card which should give you a boost of good performance.  You should stay less than 9 "in length to ensure that the card fits in the space provided.  Always read the customer reviews on all products you purchase to see what users have to say about them.

If you decide not to go with my recommendations, both of these will give you a good idea of what you need.

HP Pavilion G5220sc desktop PC XS305EA

    2 operating systems installed:

    Windows 7 64 bit

I don't quite know what to do. I'm quite in the game World of Warcraft, PC and not liked it's optimal playing on the low graphics options. That's why I plan to replace my current card (NVIDIA GeForce 315) graph with the upgrade (Inno3D GeForce GTX 560 (1 GB))

    What should I do?

Your opinion on this would be highly appreciated.

According to the specifications of your computer, your system has a 300 Watt power supply. You need to upgrade your power supply for a 500 watt or greater unity. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommended and preferred a forum. Additionally, you will need a blank space next to the PCIe x 16 location and you will need to check the length of the card fits into the space provided in your case. Once this is done, the GTX 560 should work perfectly in your system. For more information, please read Guide of Big_Dave of a discrete video card selection.

  • What kind of update of the graphics card I can do on my HP 810-135qe

I have a new HP 810 - 135qe that I am satisfied except for the graphics card.  Someone has an experience like this and found a solution for a good replacement?

    Ron, welcome to the forum.

I have the same computer.  The power supply 600W (PSU) allows you to purchase most of the newer cards intermediate level on the market.  The main concern is the length of the card you purchase.  I suggest to find a map and get the dimensions of it.  Then, you can create a model to see if it will fit.  Add an inch for a card with additional power connectors.  I usually recommend 9 "or less if you don't measure the space.

I love EVGA, Sapphire, XFX and PNY in that order.  Here's a map that fits and it has good reviews.  Read them to see what users have to say about it.  A critic, a tech, said he is only 11% slower than the HD 7950 for $200 less.

  • (More)! Update graphics card issues

Hi all. I posted before with respect to the upgrade of the power supply and graphics card for my Pavilion P7-1235. I'll do it myself so I was double and triple check what exactly I want to do! I have not yet open the case of my P7-1235, but have found a few photos online. The map I set about obtaining was a Radeon 7750. However, it seems that those who are not as available as they used to be. I liked this card because it was a single one location. It seems that most cards are now double slot. Is there someone has installed a card double slot in their HP, perhaps the same model or series as mine? I was wondering how he did.  I see maybe a 7770 or 7790 would work. I get a new PSU as well and I found a brand that is the exact size of one already installed. This new will be 500 watts. I guess I'm worried buy a card and find that it is too high or too long to fit in the case. Answers or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have recommended card double slot to many members.  They are normally 1.5 "wide.  This will cover one of the PCI Express x 1 slots, but most people don't use all of them anyway.  You can measure the space where the card will fit so that you know for some.  The main concern with the video card is the length.  I would normally recommend not more than 9 ".  This ensures that it fits with room for all the connectors of power on the end of the map.

Here are two guides to help you to install the video card and PSU.  In addition, the entire section "adding / replacement of hardware" to the computer.

  • Is the XFX HD 7850 a good graphics card for the desktop HP-P7-1534.

I just got this computer in office during the summer because everyone said it would be a cheap system for games. I love this desktop computer, but there are a few games I would like to very smooth running as 4 Battlefield and Call of Duty: ghosts. I was just wondering if the graphics card XFX HD 7850 would meet my needs. I also intend to buy a new corsair 750W power supply for the graphics card would work.

    Jobro94, welcome to the forum.

Yes, the HD 7850 should work correctly.  If, however, you decide to take the Double (2 fans), you should get the measurements and make a cardboard template to ensure that it fits properly.  It is 9.5 "long and has two power connectors 6 pins.  They will add about an inch to the length, once the cables are connected.

Here are the recommended system requirements for BF4:

The PC recommended configuration for optimal rate of quality and Visual framework:

    • (Intel Core i5 or i7) CPU, Quad core at 3 Ghz
    • 4 GB memory (8 GB for 64-bit operating systems)
    • A modern map of DX11 graphics with 2 + GB of video memory, the series 600 GeForce or Radeon 7000 series
    • Windows 7 64 - bit operating system (Windows 8 is supported as well)
    • 30 + GB of free hard disk space

This is the recommended configuration for the Cod: Ghosts:

    Recommended configuration

    • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / 64-bit Windows 8
    • CPU: Intel Core i5-680 @ 3.6 GHz
    • RAM: 8 GB RAM
    • HARD drive: 40 GB HD space
    • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 @ 4GB
    • Sound: Card its compatible DirectX
    • DirectX: DirectX 11
    • Internet: Connection broadband and service required for multiplayer connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

As you can see, BF4 will probably work better with the HD 7850 than COD: ghosts.  Cod seems to be more intensive graphics.

Thanks in advance for the answer

Yes, you must take into account the length of the video card.  The GTX 780 and 780 ti are 10.5 "long.  They require also two 8-pin power connectors.  This will add an another po.  I am not sure that is is insert in the space provided.  You can measure from the ports of i/o to the opposite side of the motherboard.  It is the space that you need to install a card.

    Hello

I want to upgrade my graphics card, but I'm not sure what would be compatible for my pc.

    Details of my pc:

    PC: HP Pavilion 550-232na

Processor: intel core i3-6100 3.70 ghz

    RAM: 8 GB

existing card: graphics intel HD 530

    Ironbreaker1, welcome to the forum.

I think that almost any video card will work on your computer.  However, there are two main considerations: 1) the amount of energy needed to run the card properly and 2) the length of the card.

You certainly need to move the power supply (PSU).  The specifications of the computer state that the PSU is internal and 180W.  Most newer video cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Normally, I would recommend a block of at least 500W Power SUPPLY; 600W is even better.

Here's a video card that should work, but it requires 400W of power.

I love the Corsair PSU.  They make quality products at a reasonable price.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer, it is not the place to save money.  This is a power supply that should work for you.  It is modular which allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This more than makes up for the air circulation.  You should check the space provided for the power supply to make sure it will fit.  In addition, make sure that the connectors.
