Lenovo 3000 C100 laptop computer starts
Hello
I tried to rejuvenate my system as a result of what I suspected, it was a virus. I used the rescue and recovery option to relax... but my system unbootable. I cannot go into the app from rescue and recovery by pressing the dedicated button, but every time I turn it on all it says NTLDR is compressed
No bootable CD in the drive
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart
And that's it... whenever I restart it is all I have the chance to see.
I retried my system restore and everything boils down to this impasse. I remember to have a bootable CD of some sort. What should I do to get it working?
See you soon
Mylo
Not much without a bootable CD. Best way is to get a cd of installation of the same version of the OS, as
your system run and boot from it in repair console. From there, you can set your startup
files and probably restore your operating system completely.

Windows 98 on a Lenovo 3000 N500 laptop
Whatddup here, I have a Lenovo 3000 n500 laptop and I want to install Windows 98 on it. Is there a possibility to achieve my desire? If so, what drivers I need? Any additional information is welcome. Thank you!!!
98? What do you need to?
I do not think that 98 supports more than 512 MB of ram so probably the installation fails.

problem with sound, for lenovo 3000 N500 laptop
Hi, I have a problem with my new lenovo 3000 N500 notebook.
I have Windows Vista Starter and Conexant SmartAudio Systems audio software (I don't know if it is a driver)
These are the problems I have:
1 - sometimes I can't hear any sound from internal speakers of the machine. I should restart the computer or turn it to stand by mode and once restarted, I can hear the sound.
Sometimes I start my computer and I hear from the beginning, but I turn the machine switch and restart I hear sound.
2 - when I connect I hear any noise, never helmet. I restart the computer, but I can still hear all the sounds. I only hear the typical sound of the speakers connected but unrecognized (soft Dominica).
Please help me

laptop computer starts in safe mode, can't backup recovery, system used retore help
My laptop starts in safe mode, I can't make systems, backup files recovery failed, do not have a vista disk to run vista, need help
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

error on laptop computer, start windows normally
Turn on laptop and get to the top with a black screen saying to start windows normally or start windows of the last safe area
Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!
Ideas:
- You have problems with programs
- Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Lenovo X 201 laptop computer black screen and LCD does not detect after windows startup
Suddenly, my Lenovo Thinkpad x 201 shows only a black screen. I checked the LCD screen with a light and I could see a dark image of the Thinkpad logo and then it go completely black. But when he is on safe mode, I saw my desk in black screen (when I use a light).
I've updated the BIOS also using an external monitor. But still the same. I'm completely at a loss. Please someone help me to slove this problem...
It is due to the inverter of the screen which has stopped working, it controls the backlight of the LCD/LED screen part when it breaks it causes the backlight to turn off and wont go on then you would need to have ups re-place with a new one.
Here's an example of how it looks like:
It may seem different on each model, but that's just one example of a lenovo T41.

3 beeps on Lenovo 3000 N200 starts
Bought a lenovo 3000 N200 on eBay that was dead, looked as if it was probably a failure of the motherboard to nothing lit up. Got a 2nd motherboard user with the same number of eBay and mounted FRU 41R7886, now when I turn on the laptop the drive light lights for a few seconds, after he died, I get 3 beeps, cooling fan seems to stay on and there is nothing on the LCD or on an additional screen that I have connected to the laptop. Tried to remove the DIMM 2 and turned on again and the symptoms are the same as before, except no beeps. Can anyone help as to the likely cause of failure? Thanks, Dan
Problem solved, thanks for all the great answers.
I tried the memory two sims in my Lenovo 3000 C200 laptop and got exactly the same symptoms, dead PC and 3 beeps, discovered that one memory sims I was using was defective. This replaced and Lenovo 3000 N200 now up and running.

3000 C100, re - install XP, no Rescue &; Recovery option.
Hello
I have a Lenovo 3000 C100 0761 equipped of Windows XP and you want to wipe the hard drive and restore it to the factory setting.
Some time ago, the C drive has been partioned install Win 98 for some software that did not like XP. Later the partition has been deleted and C drive back to its original state. Now I don't get an option to enter Rescue and Recovery when I press the Lenovo Care button on the splash screen. The hidden partition is still in place and has not been affected. I suppose that the master boot record has been changed when you change the drive C partition.
How to restore the Lenovo care button options of rescue and recovery.
Thank you for advice or suggestions.
Concerning
Chris
Thanks for your quick response. I could not find a way to burn discs using the recovery partition. I don't know if what I'm trying to do is clear. I want to erase the existing installation of Windows and do a clean install to return to factory settings.

Lenovo 3000 N200 on the habit of power and shows no lights
Hi all
I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop. One day he just off its autonomy while watching a video, and now shows no signs of life. Used to power on, no light when it is connected with a power supply, nothing.
I tested the power supply and tried another new and get the same result. So I don't think that the battery/power supply is the issue.
I have a feeling that it is something more serious, the laptop is out of warranty and IBMs fresh out of warranty are stupidly high. If anyone knows what could cause this problem and if it is possible to repair with a spare room (off ebay or elsewhere), I'm able to disassemble the laptop and replace a part.
Thanks for any advice.
Bass sounds.
Some say remove memory and see if it gives an indication
of life, like any beeps at startup.
Try without battery, try to unplug it, remove the battery and press and hold the
power button for 30 seconds and plug in again etc.
Try to remove the hard drive, but this looks like a dead motherboard
If you have any sign of life after trying everything you can think of.

Computer laptop Lenovo 3000 N200 that does not start as a system file is missing or damaged:
«I have a laptop Lenovo 3000 N200 that won't start as "" Windows has no start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM "»»
Rescue and Recovery Tools will allow me to restore the hard drive to factory settings, but I prefer to back up important data first. Rescue and recovery apparently allow backup and pays the appropriate folder / structure of files, but the "Start" option is grayed out.
Then I tried to boot from Windows XP CD but it signals that it has no hard drive, although Rescue and Recovery can apparently go to folder/file structure.
How can I move it please?
Thank you very much - Simonides
