Lenovo E430 Touchpad issue

Hi all

I own a Lenovo E430. Now it is running Windows7, fully corrected and updated to date.

My problem is with ultra high sensitivity touching the TouchPad. The TouchPad can react even to touch the fabric.

This is a problem for me, because I use TrackPoint, I have no external keyboard and during the use of extra clicks unwanted lead to unforeseen events.

So my question is how can I disable the Touchpoint. I have read several articles and there is no solution for me.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi, Tsoch

If you go to the Control Panel and select mouse, a window should appear. In this window, one of the tabs at the top should say UltraNav, if you click on this tab, you should be able to uncheck the Activate touchpad, which allows to disable the TouchPad. Click apply and then click OK. The TouchPad should now be disabled.

Best,

Adam

  • Z580 touchpad issues

    Hello

So I bought a Z580 Ideapad a few days and I'm in love except for one thing that is bugging me. The touchpad. He feels not like he has any flow or as if I have full control. It is scrolled randomly and I don't know even how I do, don't move the cursor exactly where I want it to go, sometimes rest unresponive for a second about and then sometimes jumps around, and I also noticed that I can't move the cursor, if I am pressing a button.

I read about some problems with the touchpad Snaptics but they're going to works not at all, to compatibility issues regarding Windows 8 and gestures. I also met some driver downloads, but they'll be nothing, or the cautious side of me is not trust in them because they are never seen.

In addition, I read 8 Win (which is what I use) is new, so these problems could be fixed in time.

It frustrates me that I love the laptop but the touchpad drives me crazy! I'm really worried about the gestures for zooming, rotating, or whatever, I want just the basic touchpad to actually work. It is their solution, or is it how the touchpad is?

    Thank you!

  • Double hard drive Lenovo E430

I replaced the DVD with a case of SATA Caddy for 2.5 hard disks.

Everything works correctly, the bios detects the second hard drive. I install Windows 7 without any problem

BUT when I use WINDOWS 7 I DETECT a SERIOUS PROBLEM:

The system with two hard drives, the first is an SSD (Crucial M4) and the second a 7200 RPM hard drive (original disc), do not restart or turn off. I have try several combinations of BIOS and original windows 7 drivers also last Intel 7 Series driver SATA.

    Nothing works!

The partial solution I found is to switch off the second drive hard through hotswap safely turn off, extract the drive hard and after that when I select Restart or shut down, the system takes a few seconds additional and work.

In my view, that it is a BIOS issue becuse this problem happened with the original Windows SATA driver and also with the latest 7 series Intel Chipset drivers. I try with the legacy of Partition BIOS MBR and Partition GPT of UEFI, in both cases the same problem.

When I unplug the power supply cable to turn off the laptop, sometimes Don t pc detects the SSD with error detection, so I BIOS fast change detection and the laptop detects the SSD.

Please check this problem inside the laptop BIOS

I have my E430 an Intel SSD of 330 in the HARD drive Bay and the original 500 GB HDD in a HARD drive caddy, I bought on ebay. I installed a fresh Win7 Pro on the SSD (under the Legacy BIOS option) and reinstalled Win7 HP on the HARD drive (under the UEFI BIOS option). I have no problems starting and stopping on the part of readers. The only problem I've noticed is that when stopping down, HARD drive sometimes of parks the heads with a loud noise (as if suddenly).

  • E430 Touchpad not working not

I've been recently encounter this problem when my touchpad and trackpoint are both unresponsive. I have been using an external mouse in conjunction with the touchpad in the past, but now the touchpad does not work completely.

In Device Manager, the ultranav pointing device is indicated as disabled (even if it is enabled) with the error "this device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed." (Code 24). »

I tried download and install the latest drivers for Lenovo, but when I try to change the control panel mouse settings I get a statement of "impossible to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver. If you have installed a different PS/2 pointing device, please uninstall the Synaptics driver by clicking Yes. Then, you must reinstall your pointing to your external device device again. »

There is also no Ultranav tab in the mouse settings.

I have no idea what to do now and I'm starting to get really frustrated with this issue. Help?

I faced a smilar problem. When I start the pc, the trackpad ultranav and trackpoint have both were unrespnsive. Sometimes, a simple reboot resolved the problem, while at other times, only repeated boots has solved the problem. Device Manager is not the ultranav and loading device and reloading the latest driver on the Lenovo site did not help on this instnaces.

Then, I read somewhere that keeping the trackpad button for starting solved the problem. He did, but it was a pain do not forget to keep the trackpad button for starting. For somedays, I do not turn off the machine and kept in the mode 'sleep'. Wake up from sleep/hibernate did not affect the configuration, and everything worked fine. This prompted me to think that perhaps the question relates to the BIOS.

I flashed the BIOS with the latest version available on the Lenovo support pages. I also changed the generic driver that is available on the site Web Iwhich semantics is better that gives extra "Scrybe" gesture software that allows you to customize what do the specific actions of the trackpad). This has solved the problem completely. Now, the trackpad and the pointer works very well, although it is necessary that it recharges.

  • Satellite L500 case, scratches and touchpad issue

I have just a few problems with my L500.

I got it for 2 months and I'm pedantic on this issue to the point that it is to be always in a bag when not used or on a desk when he is and I even clean it with a brush.

Despite all this, looks like I got it for years. There are missing pieces of the case and scratches all over the thing and the small rubber feet or just the other side of the webcam takes off and fall thereafter.

The mouse pad is also strange things, regardless of the settings I chose for her. Sometimes it won't work on the left side of the screen and will flick off to the right and I have to reboot the machine to make it work properly again or I have to tap several times so that he could do nothing at all or it scrolls crazily and I can't stop.

Basically, it is under warranty, I am impressed by the fact that he is obviously made of poor quality material and is either damaged when I am taking care of him and I wonder if it is what I can do about it.

I think abnormal wear is perhaps the case here.

    See you soon

    > Nevertheless, looks like I got it for years. There are missing pieces of the case and scratches all over the thing and the small rubber feet or just the other side of the webcam takes off and fall thereafter.

Strange hmm what to say my L505 is a few months, but it looks like to buy on the first day.
No scratch, nothing! Of course, I m safe with this laptop and use a microfibre cloth to clean it. I put t use on the road and I think that this is the reason why it's so pretty plastic covers looks like other common blankets used in other portable models so don t see big differences.

    > The mousepad also does strange things, regardless of the settings I chose for her. With regard to the touchpad.
I think you should take a look in touchpad, configuration settings: Control Panel-> mouse-> device-> settings (or properties) settings
Here, you can configure the parameters provided by the Synaptics driver.
Notes; Touchpad uses two drivers: Alps and Synaptics
If you have any questions, then an update could be recommended.

  • Lenovo B570 Touchpad question (minor)

    Hello
I have Lenovo B570 and it's a very nice phone. But there is a minor problem that I face. The touchpad has a vertical line on the right side. When you place your finger on it and go up or down, it acts as a page slider... as it scrolls the page up/down. Earlier, it used to start automatically when the computer starts, but now it doesn't. And every time I opened, simply open the mouse properties window, it starts working all of a sudden... The parameters are also all very well and the vertical scroll is also checked. How this thing get resolved?

    @Pratzal,

Try to uninstall the driver, reboot, then reinstall the driver and see if it helps.

  • How to activate the scrollbars on a Lenovo laptop touchpad

I use a Lenovo E531 for laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I accidentally disabled the touchpad scroll. I tried everything, but it still does not work. Is there anyone here who knows how to fix this?

The touchpad scrolling could have been disabled by the system to return to a very basic driver or via user input by adjusting the options in the configuration of the touchpad utility,.

Click Start or press the Windows key and type mouse select it mouse section of the control panel from the list above. In the mouse properties dialog box, go to the Touchpad tab to see if you can open the Lenova Touchpad utility.
If you do not get satisfaction to locate or using the Lenova Touchpad utility, go to the E531 Lenova support site and download the latest drivers and utilities for your machine. I checked and the Lenova site seems to list as a ThinkPad Edge E531. Reason for exclusion of the webbot site, you will need to locate the model yourself from the link below.
  • Lenovo S12 touchpad help

OK, here's the tragic story. One day my sister accidentally sank a whole Cup of water on my keyboard S12. So much water that when I turned on the computer in turn in the sink, there was water coming out of usb ports. I immediately stop the machine and thinking on the spot got my screwdriver. I opened it upwards so that I can dry. On the way I know I disconnected the ribbon cable from the touchpad to the motherboard, but I can't find the place where it connects. I think that this is possible because I had the same problem with the keyboard, but I fixed it. And the computer works great as im now use it with an external usb mouse.

IM wondering if anyone has a guide or know how to guide me in the right direction

Hi unfortunately there is no HMM (Hardware Maintenance Manual)... and I didn't know anybody doesn't open its S12 more right now...

But I think that there is no possible place... you will see the small connector with a small plastic latch... If you open the cover under the keyboard...

There are only a few connectors onboard... keyboard, video, sound, speaker and touchpad...

If you want to see how the connector should look to...? See the S10 Lenovo Service training how open or closed connectors...

hope you encouraged how it is easy to open the lid...

  • Touchpad issues?

Recently, I have problems with the touchpad. I can't get the pointer arrow to go where I want it. When I do it, it moves all around and I can see it shake on the screen. I can't scroll upwards or downwards with my two fingers. When I try this, I'm split applications that are open. Any suggestions?

Restart your computer, hold down the option/alt - P - R keys command before the gray screen appears. Continue until you hear the startup chime for the second time.

  • Touchpad issues - error 0 x 00000103 on the R of Satellite series

I recently had to recover my laptop from scratch using CF provided by Toshiba. However, after upgrading all Microsoft patches my touchpad has stopped working. It is not the problem of Fn + F9.

The Alps driver is missing, also the application to manage the touchpad also does not appear. I tried to install the patch to the Alps from the CD but also downloaded the driver, but it fails with the error code 0 x 00000103 and then failed init 0 x 0000000.

Can someone kindly help me on how to fix it?

    Thank you
    KK

Hmmm... have you checked the list of all available updates? You should do this before the start of the update (auto update to disable).

I noticed that it is offered for entry Synaptics Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad option but this update is defined as option so must not be installed and you should only use the Toshiba driver installed.

What to do now? Try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Sorry, but now, it won't be easy to do much. If nothing helps to install the new OS by using recovery image but then disable automatic updates and do it manually. Always consult the list of available updates and to avoid updates for hardware components. I do the same and everything works fine.

  • Tecra A5: touchpad issues only when the AC adapter plugged

    Hello

I have a very strange pb with my tecra a5: when I plug in the power supply, my touchpad behaves oddly (latency), as soon as I unplug the power touchpad is ok.

I tried many things (including total reinstall + change the touchpad), the pb is still there.

    Hello

Recommend to test this with the new adapter recommended by Toshiba.
I read here in the forum on a similar topic that could be solved by the new adapter.
