Lenovo G570 network card issues

Good so I had this problem before and she came again. Basically the Atheros (or however spell you it) 9285 adapter will work with the driver and I checked with fn + f5 my wireless connection is on, but in the right bottom where it shows your connection there just the cable with a Red Cross, also the physical switch on the front of the laptop is on.

RESOLVED:
Thanks for the responses, but the problem was as simple as after you have reinstalled the driver, remove the battery and other sources to be able to leave the laptop to do a full restart.

    Hello

    1. You have the latest service pack installed for Windows Vista?

    Method 1:

The issue could be related to corrupt check Windows Socket the link provided below to troubleshoot issues with the nerve to Windows in Windows Vista.

How to determine and to recover from Winsock2 corruption in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811259

    Method 2:

First, disable all other connections to try to force the wireless connection to request the information needed in the router.

    (a) click Start

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) network and sharing Center

    (d) managing network connections.

    (e) click every link that is EXCEPT the wireless LAN connection, and then click on disable this network device.

    (f) then see if your wire will connect.

    (g) you should probably run the diagnostic and repair utility on the Network and Sharing Center menu to force the wireless card to request information from the router IP.

    Method 2:

If all else fails, go back into the network and sharing Center, manage network connections and right click on the wireless network connection and select Properties.

Then click Internet version 4 Protocol and select Properties.

Click in the box that says "Use following IP address" and enter the information that has been shown in IPCONFIG report for your connection to the Wired Local network above.

Do the same for "use the following DNS servers."

Make sure that you type the IP address, mask subnet, default gateway, and DNS addresses exactly the same than the connection to the Local network was when he got the information from the router.

  • Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 quad port NETWORK card issues

    Environment:

    -V4.1 ESXi on:

-3 x servers Dell R710 (48GB of RAM) with SAS shared storage (No iSCSI) each with:

-4 x Gigabit Broadcom PowerEdge R710 BCM5709 Ethernet ports on the motherboard (works well)

-2 x Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5709 1000Base-T on card 2 ports (works well)

    -4 x Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5709 1000Base-T on a card 4 ports (problems!)

Have installed ESXi 4.1 fees to each server.  When you configure the management network, I noticed that:

-Server ESX1 correctly displays the 10 cards

-Server ESX2 incorrectly shows 8 network interface cards (2 on the card 4 ports are "missing")

-ESX3 server incorrectly displays 6 network interface cards (all 4 on the card 4 ports are "missing")

VMware, I downloaded the latest drivers Broadcom 5709 for ESXi v4.1 and installed via the vSphere CLI (successfully) and restarted.  No difference.

I exchanged the cards around in the server and 'mistakes' follow the cards.

2 / 3 of the cards of brand new (I hope!) which have been purchased in an order are so apparently defective.  Maybe bad batch?

Should I go with trying to replace these cards with the same model of 4-port Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 cards... or should I try a different provider (for example a 4-port Intel card)?

    Suggestions welcome.

In fact the network cards should be picked up in the order the PCI ID as described in example http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1002315

Maybe it's allows you to run a 'Reset configuration data' in the BIOS of the server after connecting the network cards.

The really strange thing is numbering ESX1, where even on a NETWORK card ports are not in ascending order.

  • VMware on Supermicro X8SIL-F - NETWORK card issues

    Hi all

I try to get the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi 4.1) operational on the following server:

    • Supermicro X8SIL-F mainboard

    • Core i3 - 530 CPU

    • 8 GB of DDR3 memory

It has a dedicated IPMI LAN port and 2 x Intel 82574 L Gigabit Ethernet Controller, which is supported according to the compatibility list.

After installation of the hypervisor, everything seems to go well at first. I could migrate one of my virtual machines (Windows 2000) of the current VMvare Server 2.0.2 to the new platform and it starts normally.

But if I start to transfer data through the network of the virtual machine (i.e. copy a tree of directories with lots of pictures), the ethernet connection works completely after some time. Virtual machine, nor the management console is accessible from the network (ping) and alsono of the local management console connection to the outside world is possible (i.e. ping to another server).

Interestingly, this "ethtool vmnic0" outputs "link detected: Yes" front and "detected link: no ' after the loss of the network connection.

The driver used is ("ethtool-i vmnic0" output):

    pilot: e1000e

    version: 0.4.1.7.1 - 1vmw-NAPI

    firmware version: 1, 9-0

    bus-info: 0000:02:00.0

    I already found this thread: http://communities.VMware.com/thread/256853 , but even the IntMode = 0, 0, 0, 0 settingdid not help.

Is there anything else that I have jerk to try to solve this problem? Can I somehow use original Intel driver (unfortunately, I can't compile the source for x86_64 myself).

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Kind regards

    BCI

Go into the BIOS and disable Active State Power Management, and it should be fixed.  These cards do not work with this setting enabled under something other than Windows 7/2008 R2 and RHEL/CentOS 5.

  • Unauthorized network card error in Lenovo W540 with 802.11ac mini Intel PCIe

I recently purchased Intel 802.11ac mini PCIe card and tried to replace 802.11n card in my Lenovo W540. He released the famous problem with BIOS whitelist blocking:

    1802: unauthorized network card is plugged - power off and remove the network adapter (8086 / 08B 1 / 8086 / C070).

The card itself is approved FCC (FCC ID: PD97260NG)

I've updated the UEFI/BIOS in hopes that maybe he was too old to recognize the card - but no luck. Even with a 2.17 UEFI firmware there not yet accept the card. Can we do anything about it? Are UEFI future updates is going to fix it or Lenovo basically approves a list of supplier codes and ignores the rest?

I tried to find all the cards sold directly through Lenovo, but can't find anything, that's why I had to buy one separately. But it rejects it. Can we do anything about it except find another card? And if not, what 802.11ac Intel adapters can be used?

You can buy 'authorized' module AC of partner Service of Lenovo or IBM...

    FRU AC part number are:

  • 4 issue of NETWORK card configuration

    Hi all

So now all of my ESX servers have 4 NETWORK cards and are all connected to the store shared via fiber connections.  My current setup is as such.

    pNic0 - & gt; vSwitch0 - & gt; Portgroup0 - & gt; (Service Console)

    pNic1 - & gt; vSwitch0 - & gt; Portgroup1 - & gt; (Vmkernal for Vmotion)

    pNic2 - & gt; vSwitch1 - & gt; Portgroup2 - & gt; (The Vm network - runoff of all VM group of port)

    pNic3 - & gt; vSwitch1 - & gt; Portgroup2 - & gt; (Same VM network as pNic2)

It would be more benifical for redundancy and performance if I put it to the top in this way rather:

    pNic0 - & gt; vSwitch0 - & gt; Portgroup0 - & gt; (Service Console)

    pNic1 - & gt; vSwitch0 - & gt; Portgroup1 - & gt; (Vmkernal for Vmotion)

    pNic2 - & gt; vSwitch1 - & gt; Portgroup2 - & gt; (The Vm network)

    pNic3 - & gt; vSwitch1 - & gt; Portgroup3 - & gt; (The Vm network)

and pNic0 configuration of failover for Teddy portgroup1 while pNIC1 is the failover of Teddy portgroup0, then leave 1 default port id base vswitch failover load balacning.

Here's how we do are 4 NIC configurations

    vSwitch0:

    Service Console - vmnic0 (vmnic2 is a stanby)

    vMotion - vmnic2 (vmnic0 is a watch)

    vSwitch1:

Machine Virtual Port Group - vmnic 1 and 4 (the two active)

    Hello

I think that it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade the WLan card.
As far as I know its a card wireless network of miiPCI and you would need to also use a WLan card which would support the miniPCI interface.

The wireless network card supports two pins for the WLan antenna cable.
Usually, you must connect a white cable to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

  • Satellite Pro P300 - 13 M - how to replace the network card?

    Hello I have the Satellite Pro P300 - 13M.

My sister fell on my UTP cable and so he was taken out by force and because of that "holding-pings" on the front of the port are bent or broken, so whenever I put in a cable with traction slightess or accidental poke I'm new offline...

I'm out of my warranty period, is it possible to fix this? Can I replace it myself?
USB network adapters are a viable solution to replace if I can't replace it?

    Help > _

To resolve this issue, you must replace the motherboard. The network card or a network location is soldered on the motherboard and cannot be traded.

In addition, it would be not covered by warranty. This isn't a matter of Toshiba, this is caused by the customer.

However, if you want to repair you must contact an ASP or search you on eBay for a card mother of second hand.

  • Need advice with card problem mother strange network card.

I have a question that is probably some kind of motherboard or power supply problem.
The card connects with 72.2 Mbit for my wireless router mbit and 100 with the Integrated NIC.

Right now I have bars of 4 out of 5 on the scale of connection and the router just outside the door, but when I try the card against the bredbandskollen.se it never give me more then 4 Mbps download and upload of 16-20. For now, it's 1.6 Mbit download and 8 Mbits upload both with radio and network card.

All other computers on the network will download speed normal 25-55, laptops and other Pavilion with GFX and solid power supply.

I even went up to buy a wireless extension, which can also be used with the thread, but the problem still there never more then download 4-5 Mbps.

I have warranty still, but I feel stupid about the problem because the card is connected with the right speed to the network.

But the rate of download and upload is far away.  And I'm sure that they will conclude that it is connected to good speed when they try against a router, but that's all the download and upload that seem to simply broken. I reinstalled OS even tried other external wireless card but the problem persists.

Would it be the 500-112 eo with a graphics card hogging the PSU, well she was offered with this card, but the motherboard is basically a small size for laptops?

Anyone else having a similar problem with the 500-112eo Pavilion

I should let him return for service, and what could cause this kind of strange problem?

Hey well today about 2-3 months after the end of the one year warranty, I'll watch some hockey. When I look at computer it seems stop by itself. Strange, I think push button / stop and here a big bang when the flaky PSU finally had enough.

I don't know what to say that it is a shame that HP sells undersized PSU:s in their computers. I knew from the start that there was something strange going on because of the bad connection Wifi, and how it seemed dependent on how many USB devices.

I was smart enough to not send it to HP technicians, it probably saved me 100 euros. Because they would be claimed I had a faulthy complain and charged me. How can you prove there are issues of power.

I'm just glad the monitor didn't die with the 500-112eo pavilion, because it looked like a shot and took the fuse 10amp in the room with her. Tried to move the HARD drive to the external firm to save a date he sounds like a sound signal in agony and refuse to spinn upward.

So I guess that the PSU has HARD drive, mothercard, UC and memories with her on his farewell greatness.

3 years and I would not protest, but 15 months HP should be ashamed of the technician putting this motherboard with this PSU and even more to sell the thing for 500 euros.

    Shame on you.
