  You are right. It seems to be related to this problem of cable touch screen very well known on the 2 black that also blocks the touch screen sometimes.   So I had the Lenovo Mixx 2 8 "Windows 8.1 compressed the other day and I find there is no option USB transfer thereon. It's not eaxactly a bad thing, because the Tablet is pretty much a PC and how it works pretty well so far.

  My Question is: is it possible to transfer files via USB for Windows for Windows? I bought these OTG cables, will help them? If so, how does it work?

  N ° unlike knowledge the Android device, Windows Tablet cannot behave as a mass storage device when connected to USB. For the same reason you can't connect two PC via a USB cable directly. It is by design.

  OTG cable allows you to connect the USB client device like flash or HARD disk drive to your Tablet and the transfer of the files it. With a decent WiFi access point file of up to 10 MB/s transfer speeds are possible. This is how I generally transfer files between the PC (cable) and Miix2 (wireless).

  I'm always test it, but it seems that GPS started working. It just need some time (sometimes important) until it receives all the necessary data by satellite. And it only works outdoors, also worked in the front seat of a car, but not in a bus or a train...

  Share my discoveries, can be useful for someone else...

  1. with "Lenovo\Energy Management\start_utility.exe" (utility.exe) running the Volume buttons / Mute will not work on Windows 7. Order of start up programs is not serious. Tried to stop all processes of Lenovo - buttons work, run the exe file - do not work.

  2. There is a dependency to start between 'Lenovo\OnekeyDM\OnekeyDM.exe' and 'Lenovo\Energy Management\Energy Management.exe. DM must be started before EM, otherwise OneKey Theater button will not work. To resolve this problem, I did the following steps:

  2.1 installed tool Startup Delayer (freeware, there a lot of them, don't remember how special I used).

  2.2 set DM to start before EM with a delay of 2 seconds to do the work key OneKey Theater.

  After that, I work Volume / Mute, OneKey Theater buttons in Windows 7, however nice windows icons of Lenovo to change volume/brightness do not appear (because we have removed the Windows Autorun "Lenovo\Energy Management\start_utility.exe"). However, I think that this Mute button is more important to you, right?

  I recently bought a lenovo p500 idea from bestbuy about 3 weeks ago. just Thursday, I press the f11 key to decrease brightness and he imidiatley went very dark. I can't turn back the brightness when well even the button and the computer says that the brightness is all the way to the top. the screen attaches to the lowest possible and I talked to 3rd specialist of lenovo, they weren't able to help me. They told me to take it back to best buy, but it's a chore for me. I am running windows 8 and I checked the drivers to see if they are updated and they are, but I can't turn back the brightness.   Try to download the latest Lenovo Energy Management and then uninstall the software, reboot then install later and see if it helps.

  Hello all, new to the Forum and you are looking for help with my Ideapad S10

  I can't say for how long, but lately Ive noticed that Lenovo Windows that display notifications of changes do not come to the top.

  I press Fn + F5 to wireless, to toggle the WiFi or newly added settings BT, but no window, no more than the wireless status change (stays on) - I can only toggle the setting by pressing the physical WiFi key at the top of the keyboard.

  It goes the same for volume settings and the settings of brightness of screen using Fn + arrow keys, although the values change.

  Normally, I wouldn't care on this issue, but I do not know the hard - key for WiFi wil I would turn the BT settings, once I installed the card.

  I have not changed anything (that I know of) other than the windows of bubbles notifications in the start bar (via RegEdit) and I doubt that this would have an effect on a program of Lenovo.

  I went through MsConfig as well, ensuring that all programs begin at the beginning, but no change it no more.

  I saw there is a difficulty to other buffers of Lenovo hotkey, but I'm not sure it will solve the problem or just add.
