Windows Live Family Safety ruined my laptop Lenovo software!  It won't even turn on now!  I loaded web filtering toolbar Bing only and immediately put in the parental control settings, the machine starts randomly stop and failing to start properly so far: HE WON ' T EVEN POWER up!  I ' M FURIOUS!

    Hello

I understand how frustrating. Generally, the software does not affect any material of the computer/laptop. If can still run your laptop on in any case, we recommend that you press f8 at start up and run it in safe mode. If you were able to run in safe mode, we recommend to uninstall Windows Live Family Safety to isolate the cause of this problem. You can see the link below for how to do it:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

If you were unable to complete the steps above, then we recommend that you contact your laptop manufacturer for more help. It is possible that there is a problem with the hardware itself (hard disk, memory, battery, etc.).

    Thank you!

  • Update on the Lenovo solution on system - software update Center

    Hello

I have a question: can not update my software on my laptop. Lenovo on system - sofware update Solution Center cannot be updated.

(Use ThinkVantage system update to update the Lenovo software on your computer. Launch.) This is the last message, I try to launch updated and is not working.

    What can I do?

    I have a Lenovo Think Pad S 540

There is no message, the window of the system 5 update and it does not update, nothing happens after 'launch', the message disappears, as the update has never been done. (the internet connection works fine)

Make sure that you have installed on your machine to ThinkVintage. Find the "system updates" to http://support.lenovo.com/en/documents/ht037696 a link and download and install it. Let's see if it will help you.

  • Refurb. Without software Lenovo T60 - what to download?

I recently bought a refurbished the 14.1 "display Thinkpad T60 1951 type. It came with Windows 7 Home Edition (for refurbished computers) preinstalled.

He is not, however, come with one of the suites Lenovo software installed, such as ThinkVantage. So that the blue button does nothing (except enter the BIOS at startup), I can not change the trackpoint features or use the middle button, and volume keys beside her also to do nothing. Not knowing what other Thinkpad drivers and software he missed, I looked around a few discussions as well as the drivers/software Lenovo page, but I don't see anything conclusive. I don't know what exactly needs to be installed, and Lenovo's Support page has so many pilots planned, when I was really looking for a suite of software/driver for a single installation. Or even a CD that I could order.

I installed the Lenovo update system (v5.06.0007), in the hope that it would install the bulk of what I was missing. It is installed:

    -Thinkpad Hotkey features v3.87

    -Thinkpad UltraNav utility v2.13

    -Win 7 update Module KB2661796

    -Win 7 update Module KB2397190

The strange thing with the Lenovo system update, is it opens halfway off the screen to the right. The volume buttons work, but which is also weird size, with the right speaker icon and the part of the cut volume bar, and the whole graph is placed off center to the right. UltraNav works but I have not changed the settings yet.

I'm still missing after ThinkVantage however and could not find a download of the Lenovo support page. I realize that they have abandoned the software for LSC, LSC is not supported on this model of ThinkPad, so I need any more software Lenovo installed originally on this model.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of the correct downloads, or maybe where I can find a CD with all of the software/drivers top, to be updated after installation? I still have to communicate with Lenovo or check if my renovated 3-year warranty applies to a Lenovo support ticket, if necessary. Thank you.

    Hello.

What version of the system update utility do you use?

ThinkVantage programs are not a sequel, but a collection of different programs. You install only those you need.

I recommend to stick to an earlier version of the integration of the shortcut key for the older ThinkPads, i.e. T400 and more. Which eliminates all the problems, that the later versions of display on these machines.

Integration of features Hotkey v. 3.81.0100

In addition, you can install the Active Protection, Power Manager and the software fingerprint (if your machine has the fingerprint reader).

Here is the matrix of driver for the T60 for additional downloads.

  • Lenovo Service bridge security warning

I have a D20 (Win7PRO) I have tried to install Lenovo Service bridge on. I thought it was installed but the attached image keeps popping up on every reboot. This D20 is a workstation on an Active Directory System. Yes, I've logged as administrator but, to the reconsignation as a regular user pop-up persists. I crossed 'Remove Programs' and removed Service bridge but, the pop up still on regular users.

How can I remove this annoyance?

I don't know anything about LSB but suggest that you look at your list of programs, and see what other Lenovo software is installed.

Check (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Task Manager and click the start make sure nothing associated with LSC is listed. If so, disable it.

Task Scheduler to check and see if there is any tasks created to run when the user login or startup system associated with LSC. If so, disable or delete the task.

    It must be here somewhere.

  • toast of Lenovo

Hello, my OS is Windows 8.1 was last updated.

I have Lenovo ThinkPad W540 workstation.

There is a program called Lenovo Toast and nothing is displayed or starts when I click it.

I tried to download Lenovo Toast, but failed. (I didn't know where to look for Lenovo Toast).

Any help will be greatly appreciated

    zsmi

I think that it is a component of the Lenovo software. It allows other Lenovo programs display a Toast notification (popup Windows 8 top-right)

  • Stock programs Lenovo yoga 11 s

    Hi all

First time posting on here and 1st time lenovo owner. I bought Yoga of i5 11 s for $400 on a girl who got a laptop from work, so I got a good deal and I love it so far!

To try to win as much space as possible, I downloaded the program "should I remove it" and rubbed my computer clean of all Lenovo applications as well as any other than the sheet metal/website of the program me a majority of people removed. What I didn't know is that one of the Lenovo applications I deleted off the keyboard when you go into a tent & tablet, so now when in these modes, if I press a key on the keyboard, it is active... Oops!

In addition to this I noticed some performance issues because the purge my space, I don't know if I can attribute that to remove a necessary program or what, but now I'm wanting to download some stocks Lenovo apps back to my laptop.

Is there a site that has a list of all the programs of stock and a description of what they do somewhere so that I can start trying to get my computer back to normal. Does anyone know the name of the program which allows different modes and disables the keyboard while, in these modes?

    Thank you

I had the same problem. Took me forever to find this yesterday: http://alltechtalk.net/Yoga/thread-download-links-to-lenovo-software it could be useful. Will you please + congratulations if this is the case. I don't know about the keyboard. Maybe someone here can help or on the other site.

  • Center solutions Lenovo (app) PCI Express hardware error reports

The diagnostic Center Solution Lenovo software reports error PCI Express WPE001001-WL7X2I material. The yoga of the Thinkpad X 1 seems to work otherwise. Everyone knows about this problem? Require a repair or replacement?

    Thanks for any advice.

If the error happens when material test, then you should not worry happens to me on a x 1 carbon 3rd gen idk why but for some strange reason, it gives just by failure on the part of the PCI-e what so ever if you run the test time 2nd or 3rd it should give a green pass icon.

  • Problem installing Windows 7 in my Lenovo Y410

My operating system precedent is win xp... I have updated for win 7 but, I donno... maybe its crashing here... .when I start the laptop it says that the BROADCOM ROM came out... say it could not load media... I tried with the new lenovo software install... but he says that they do not identify my problem... n no driver found... im a bit confused here... Help me admin. thnx

According to me, it has something to do with your boot priority selection. Go into the BIOS Setup, then set your optical drive as 1 and your main hard drive as 2nd. If there is an option to disable "Network boot", you can do.

Alternatively, you can go in the boot selection menu (press F12 at startup) and select your hard drive from the list.

  • Drivers of Lenovo with Windows XP SP3 compatibility?

"SP3 conflicts with some of our drivers," phone support Lenovo insists even the last time spoke them.

    (1) does anyone know the advantages and disadvantages of the update of XP from SP2 to SP3 on a Thinkpad T61?

    (2) does anyone know what specific Lenovo software, it is in conflict with (I might already have uninstalled), or how such a conflict would recognize?

Sorry to repeat myself, but I never got a definitive answer.  (Or is it the wrong section of this forum?  I was moved here the last time I posted on this topic.)

    Best regards to all! -JCW2

  • I can't install lenovo onekey recovery on my windows 7 64 bit system. The download is designed for 64-bit systems, but it keeps telling me to install it on a system of ILO 3w2.

The Lenovo onekey recovery was accidentally removed from my laptop G570 - which uses a 64-bit Windows 7 system. The Lenovo support section gives two options for restoring onekey to my machine: a 32-bit or a 64-bit.  I choose the 64-bit download and download the driver.  However, it will not be installed and the message comes back on: "this must be installed on a 32-bit program.

There is no doubt that I do the right choice of a 64-bit download for a 64 bit system.  What can go wrong?
    Thank you in advance.
    L.Affley

Since it is a specialized Lenovo software, you would probably need to speak directly with support from Lenovo.

It is not uncommon that the download link points to the wrong queue (s).

  • Power Manager, software of finger printing does not start

    Hi all

I was faced with a problem recently on my x 220 install win7 32 bit. Power Manager (3.66), software of fingerprints as well as the graphic Properties utility intel is unbootable. FN + F3 displays nothing more.

I am only able to see the splashscreen and then nothing happens and the process stops.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall either manually or through lenovo software update without success

I wasn't able to find a log file in C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\Utilities or the windows event viewer.

I thought it might be related to a recent update .NET, but I have tried several versions with no success (currently using 4.0).

Do you have any idea what I can do for troublesshot/fix this?

    Kind regards

OK, so I could fix the problem by disabling the Windows Presentation Foundation 3.0.0.0 Cache of police service in services.msc.

Since then, everything works, Power Manager, fingerprints, tool box...

I guess an update of recent security reactive .NET service and my cache is corrupted somehow.

  • Control switch radio wireless (Fn + F5) via the Windows registry / software

In a school environment, students have discovered that they can cause problems using the software switch Fn + F5 to turn off the Wifi radio. I know that the material LED turns off when this happens, but the teachers are too busy to identify it. The result is that users are unable to connect, and the Windows Welcome screen is not quite intuitive, which gives a message error "there currently no server connection.

I am interested in applying a "fix" to this problem at startup. Maybe a fix Windows registry to "force" the Lenovo software switch to turn on the Wifi.

I had a bag autour with a comparison of registry Interstate market and am currently getting the following (among other changes, such as DHCP etc.) diff:

    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0018\RadioEnable: 0x00000000
    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0018\RadioEnable: 0x00000001
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0018\RadioEnable: 0x00000000
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0018\RadioEnable: 0x00000001

However, forcing these dwords to 0 x 1 doesn't seem to be enough to turn on the radio.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there a BIOS/UEFI underlying setting that might be able to be accessed via the software?

Acxtually that I found after searching a bit more. Can be controlled via the command line:

    "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\TpFnF5.exe" /wlon

  • Lenovo wireless switch turns do not on wireless?

Hello, when I use the Lenovo software to turn on the wireless antenna, it indicates that it is on, when it is actually not. I need to go to troubleshooting MS to detect problems and he says that the wireless antenna is off "would you like to start?". I agree, and all is well. In any case, it's a bit annoying to have to go through this process each time to turn on the radio... Any suggestions please?
