Lenovo, Yoga 2 - a plugin (Shockwave Flash) does not.

I have also exactly the same questions. In order to overcome, I am now running four browsers - chrome, firefox, IE and Edge, and each of them do. It is unpredictable and infuriating.

Please notify.

And a question - why this thread is marked "assumed answered" when clearly has not been resolved?

I moved this to another thread because it seems separate from the thread you have answered initially, but all traffic connects to the station not move themselves.

  • Hi Jean-Luc thanks for that. I followed your instructions and turned off the hardware acceleration in Chrome. Not sure if it worked yet. Will test a few sites. Your suggestion to do the same thing in Flash is however from the pages running Flash seize up, of course! I couldn't go pretty far in following your instructions!     Oh, it's certainly no good.  He probably won't want to help then. If you have not restarted since you started having this problem, start here.  If it still persists after restarting, please make sure you have all up-to-date with Windows Update and update to Chrome (go to Chrome > chrome) and make sure you have the latest version running.

    AHA! I had restarted Chrome but did not after the installation. I have done this now and it's fine. I managed to get into the image of the tree and hardware acceleration disabled. Facebook seems to work ok in Chrome now. I'm going to test other browsers.

    Looks like you've cracked smaily, for me at least! Following your advice, I turned off the hardware acceleration in Chrome and via the instructions from Adobe, you posted.  He now works in Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge. Thank you very much!

    I found a solution. Turns, it was not a case of download a newer player Flash, but I had 2 plugins flash player enabled in Google Chrome and for some reason, having 2 plugins do Flash does not work.

    All I had to do was to disable one of the plugins.

    Run Firefox with Flash 14.0.0.145 Windows 8.1 31. Flash became utterly reliable. There are several symptoms of failure. For example, if I try to move forward in a YouTube video, the video will freeze while the sound continues.     If you have not already could you try to disable safe_mode of the Flash plugin. This implies the creation or modification of a parameter file. The following/posts pages provide different ways to do this:

  • Help!  Can not go beyond "a plugin (shockwave flash) is not responding.  What to do?

    This has happened for weeks. A temporary solution for me is to keep restore my laptop Win 7 SP 1 HP Pavilion to a set point previously saved restoration.  My system says I have version 2100197 installed Flash, I can't tell if it's the last?  Attempts to end pull with a frozen screen.

    I think I have the latest version of Chrome installed as bars chrome do not indicate a new version when a right click.  I have activated Adobe Flash Player, a long time ago, I do not know why the failure notice relates Shockwave Flash because I don't think he's on my laptop (?).  I can't find any reference to have. On my profile in the list only the Flash Player is referenced, there is no other player competing or plug-ins.

    Troubleshooting, this would be LARGELY APPRECIATED.   I'm really tired.

    I take the step wise approach which worked well after

    about 4 days now.  All antivirus scans were clean as well as malware and software spies.

    Managed to get a newer version of loaded FireFox which allowed me to remove

    My Chrome program and reinstall it.  It seems that I did not have the

    last program of Chrome that last seems different, despite the

    claims that it automatically updated Adobe Flash player name.  He

    seems that my previous version of Chrome was defective in some way and unable

    to be repaired, or even a diagnosis.  I wonder how many times Chrome should be

    removed and replaced to avoid conflicts?     If there is a way to give you

    a 'proper' credit, pls let me know and I will.   Thanks a million and God

    Install Firefox 13 yesterday. Now flash does not work. Have done all the patches that are supposed to no avail. Have uninstalled and reinstalled flash. I'm at my wits end with this issue.     I found the solution for shockwave does not.

    1. go in topic: addons

    2. make sure that "Shockwave for Director" is present

    3. look for "Mozilla ActiveX Control and Support of plugins"

    4 disable

    5. refresh the page

    It worked for me to get stuff flash shockwave works again.

    Edit: shockwave flash worked perfectly for me with my old together until I updated to 13, so it is certainly the issue of Mozilla, and after finding this solution, I'm sure of it.

    Flash only works in Firefox 4 beta 11 when I put it in 32-bit mode. I was never able to operate under normal conditions. I uninstalled all other plugin and re-installed flash and the results are the same.

    Not only the flash does not work for beta 11, but flash has never worked for any previous version of Firefox 4 beta under default settings. After a search through Firefox support forums, I found this is true for many other users, as well.

    Has anyone found the cause of this problem?

    Flash does not work on some web sites. I never had a problem before with flash on FF in the nearly 15 years that I've used FF.     The other strange thing is that I used to get the "warning: script does not" prompt that displays "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends. "sometimes when I would buy on Macy's.com. This is the only site that it happened.
    I know I have only little technical knowledge, but I have tried to figure this out for a few days and do not know what is happening. The only thing I can think is that I somewhere files corrupted causing this problem. I have just updated to Windows 8.1 tonight in the hope that can help, but nothing helped. I would be very disappointing if I couldn't use FF or must go back using Chrome and FF.

    Welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting, but sharper which is not the purpose of this forum.

    Related software RealPlayer and Flashplayer have had problems in the past and we documented it. I don't know if, at the moment updated to current versions of Realplayer also solve the problem. In addition, Windows > = Vista disabling protected mode of the Flash Player can be a workaround.
