• Adobe 6/CC not built-in lens in EXIF for Flickr

  I got cc lightroom and photoshop just this last week and noticed that when I export my photos, then download these photos on Flickr, the lens information is empty. I got lightroom 5 before last week, and the data for the goal has been always exported. I can't understand why LR6 won't. Any ideas? Here's what I've done so far to solve:

  1A tried several other lenses. To make sure it wasn't my goal.

  2. I tried different cameras. To make sure it wasn't my camera.

  3 my friend try with his camera, using his computer, with 6 of Lightroom. To make sure that it wasn't only my copy of lightroom that perhaps has not installed correctly.

  4 shot jpeg and downloaded directly from the memory card without going through Lightroom and the data of the lens was there for this one. So, that tells me lightroom is the question.

  5. treatment of a raw image from the memory card in photoshop / camera raw, and it does not always show the lens information

  This is a known bug in 2015.5 CC with Lightroom and Adobe is working on it. Is this the version you are using?

  Hi all

  I have a couple of drinks to choose from the menu of lens correction. According to a list on the website of Adobe, my lens (Tamron 18-270) should be included, but it is not.

  I use Lightroom 5 on a Win PC and a camera Sony Alpha 58. Photos taken in RAW format.

  Any idea where I can find or activate the lens?

  Could it be, that the Sony camera does not write the lens information in the EXIF file so that Lightroom does not know what lens I used? But, if so, why can I choose several different companies (Canon,...), but not that of Tamron?

  Hi all

  In Photoshop Lightroom CC (latest updates installed - v2015.5) my Tamron 15-30 mm f/2.8 lens is not recognized, only an opportunity for the focal length and aperture are visible.

  The profile of lenses must be selected manually - but even after selecting the lens information are not available for the photos in the library module, so I can't search/filter for this purpose.

  In the RAW files from my Nikon D750 written in the metadata correctly: target = 15-30 mm f/2.8 and LensIDNumber = 233.

  Funny enough for the 24-70mm f/2.8 Tamron everything works-> his profile is automatically recognized in the develop module and I can / filter to search for it in the library module.

  Any advise?

• Lightroom CC (2015) does not recognize the lenses since the last update

  I installed updates to Lightroom CC (2015), CC Bridge and Photoshop CC (2015) on 20 March. Since then, LR does not have lens ID in the exif data. It displays all the lenses as 'unknown '. This issue coincides with the last update and I confirmed that the lens information in the exif data. What is the reference for this?

  It will not be restored automatically. My understanding is that after upgrading to the next version, it will be necessary to filter the images concerned, select all, Ctrl / Cmd + S to write metadata (in order to keep all work performed since importation), then do file metadata reading to get the lenses update info.

• Metadata of Canon C300 Mark ii in first - please help.

  We record an II Canon C300 and want to import the camera metadata (markers, lens information, notes, etc.) in the first.  We can see that the metadata directly from the map if we open it with the Canon XF utility, but once we put the files in the first metadata no longer appears.  Is anyway to transfer only the metadata in a format that creation can read? Adobe and Canon say they do not have a solution for this, but it's just data.  Does anyone here know of a work around?  Anyone at Adobe want to step up and meet this challenge?  Can you help me?

  I guess my point is, you probably can't.  Not until Canon reshapes the camera.

  I did a few tests with my new HD PENTAX DA 55-300mm F4-5. 8 ED WR lens. After you import the images in LR 2015.4 (latest version) on a mac (OSX 10.11.3) info from the lens is not in one of the panels of information.

  Other objectives are recognized without any problems (35 2.8 Limited or even the old FA80-320).

  
  For additional checks, the EXIF data is present in the file I used exiftool and obtain the following information:

  I also tried to copy an existing lens profile PENTAX (smc PENTAX - DA 55-300 mm F4-5. 8 ED)-RAW.lcp with the id of the lens changed '7 203' instead of ' 7 236 "and renamed all occurrences of the name of lens the news one.".

  Hi Steffen,

  As you have discovered, the lens is not matched in Lightroom, because the version "WR" weatherproof of the lens does not have a dedicated profile. Also, there are two versions of this goal that share the same optical formula as the goal of "WR", and these have profiles but use single lens IDS. I'll add a profile to the next version of Lightroom and Camera Raw for the variant 'WR' of this lens.

• Any way to change/replace the EXIF data such as the date of the photo?

  I import into Lightroom several thousand photos I took with my first digital camera, in 2000-2004. Everything went very smoothly. But here's my problem:

  In my old workflow, I spent the time of photo montage liquidated as TIF files, and stripped of any program that I used to edit the EXIF from them. Thus, for example, a photo that was taken on March 4, 2001 has the information EXIF showing it was taken on March 10, 2001, the date on which I edited and made the TIF. All other EXIF data is stripped as well, the data on exposure, lens information, ISO, if the flash is triggered, etc.. Basically, the TIF file seems to have no other than my name and the size of the file EXIF data.

  I can't live without the other info, really, but the change of information on the initial date/time means that the TIF file is not sort next to the original file in Lightroom, which I want to do. There are not thousands of photos that I have hair, a few hundred maximum.

  Is it possible with a plugin or an external program to copy EXIF information in the original program and insert it in the TIF file?

  To change the date to use the Edit capture time option located under library > metadata menu.
