4th generation iPod not charging

I had some problems with getting my 4th generation iPod (grey levels) to load.  When I plug it into the usb power brick, the battery with exclamation point icon flashes, and the iPod will never start.  I can force it to start after he flashed for a while by unplugging and by resetting using select + menu, however when it is started and plugged nothing no indication who is in charge and dies.  Integrated diagnostic tests give a "wousbpwr" when the charger is connected.  I wonder if the battery itself is at fault or if I have another brilliant Clipboard?  I also have a photo of the iPod with similar symptoms.

When I plug it into the usb power brick

What happens when you connect it to the USB port on the computer?  A 4th gen iPod should charge from a USB port.  If it will not any connection charge (but), it may be a battery.

NOTE: If there is a 3rd gen iPod, it loads only a FireWire (not USB) connection.  3rd gen iPod does not have a click wheel; He has a touch wheel with four separate command buttons.

How will I know if my Mini Ipod 4th generation is in charge.

I plugged it in - the blinking not solid.

It's an iPod shuffle, right?  Small place with design clip - on and no screen...

Blinking light means DO NOT DISCONNECT, because the iPod disk is mounted by the system.  EJECT iPod (in iTunes) before physically disconnect the iPod.  If you eject , but leave it connected, the light becomes solid.  (Yellow or green) light means OK TO DISCONNECT.  When it is yellow, the battery charge.  When it is green, the battery is fully charged.

NOTE: In the normal conditions of use, flashing light is always yellow; It's supposed to be a warning.  It does not indicate the State of the battery; never it flashes green.

  • How can I sync my iphone 6 to my 4th generation ipod?

I had the ipod for a few years now, it is a 4th generation and 32 GB. My iphone is fairly recent, but she is only 16 GB. I buy songs from Itunes on my iphone 6 new songs that I bought off of my iphone do not give on my ipod. I need because the iphone continues to remove them. They are still on my iphone, but in a shade of gray. I don't have access to my old office to synchronize. I can use my brother's Office. New purchased songs aren't on my ipod, that's where I want to be because it is a 32 GB and they fit on there.

You cannot synchronize the iDevices like that.

You will need to use a computer to transfer all purchases from iPhone to it, to then be able to synchronize with the iPod Touch.

Redownload or transfer of your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - Apple Support

The 4th Gen iPod Touch will not be able to play the pieces obtained from the Apple music subscription Service, as they cannot be synced to it, and she can use the Apple's music subscription service itself.

Have your brother create a user for you on his computer, so you can create a library of iTunes top where to synchronize with the iPod Touch.  Once the library is created and authorized to your account, your purchases of transfer and then synchronize with the iPod.

  • Podcasts won't load again 4th generation iPod

I just bought a new iPod shuffle (my 2nd generation is dead).  I am familiar with how to load podcasts, but I can't get it to load more than my first.  I have 7 unplayed episodes and 5 different podcasts.  I tried to sync to load automatically - it is said that they are all in sync and eject the iPod.  I have to eject and when I listen to only the first podcast is here!  I restored the iPod and tried to manually load and I get the same result.  Only the first podcast will load.  When I click on my iPod to see what is on it, it shows that all unplayed podcasts are loaded.  What is going on?

4th gen shuffle works a little differently the 2nd gen shuffle.  2nd gen shuffle is a very simple device.  He keeps a list of audio that can be played in the order of the list or in a random order.  4th gen shuffle is more like 'big' iPods (but without display). It can contain several playlists, and it makes the distinction between types different audio media (music, podcasts, audio books...).

Because it doesn't have a screen for navigation, it has a feature called VoiceOver.  In addition to the hearing of song information, you use VoiceOver to select a playlist to use.  The shuffle treats each podcast as a playlist, with the episodes responsible (for each podcast) as the elements (and the songs) on the playlist.  To listen to episodes of other podcasts, use VoiceOver to select another playlist podcast on the menu.  This document will describe how to enable and use VoiceOver on the gen shuffle 4

iPod shuffle (4th generation): activation and use of VoiceOver - Apple Support

Like the shuffle gen 4 can have multiple selections, you load ideally with a combination of songs and podcasts.  For example, you can a playlist of songs for the year and a "favorite songs" playlist, as well as your podcasts.  Use VoiceOver to select what you want to hear.

  • iPod shuffle 2nd generation will not be a link with itunes

I just brought a used ipod shuffle 2nd generation and I can't seem to associate with my itunes account dosnt see toward the top in the list of devices? It binds with laptop and with the car but can't put mt on her music and her full load of expensive! and bon Jovi show!

any advice will be welcome tried alternative lead? Potty

Cheap and good jovi...  That IS indeed a serious problem.    But at least the iPod still plays music, so its battery is OK.

You use the USB cable supplied with 2nd gen iPod?  It is long with a cradle at the end of the shuffle.  The replacement of home cable shuffle Apple sells currently is to shuffle 3rd and 4th generation and does not work with 2nd gen shuffle (connector is different).

There are third party replacement cables, but they must be described as 2nd gen shuffle.  And they tend to be cheap and of poor quality, then this might be the problem here.

If you have the right type of cable, when you connect it to the USB of your computer, look at the little light the shuffle.  Blink initially when it is connected?  It turn on, but remain solid (not flashing)?  There is No light at all when connected?

Also, are you using a Mac or a Windows PC?  If Windows, which free?

  • Bad restore iPod Nano 4th generation

This morning, I tried to restore my iPod Nano 4th generation.

Everything seemed to go in the right direction: I followed the procedure, iTunes has downloaded the most recent software, but after a few seconds an error occurred (order of 1400, in fact I don't remember the exact number).

From that moment, iTunes no longer see my iPod, and it is present only as a generic drive in the office.

I tried to restore the disc mode, but iTunes doesn't see my iPod.

Can I do something to fix this?

    Thank you!

do you see this line on the screen when the Apple logo?  If you do, it is probably a hardware problem.  If the line is not there at the start, but returns after the iPod starts, you can do a restore of the iPod using iTunes.  This d erases the IPO, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.
