  If you want to change the composition and all the layers it contains, there is a script: scale Composition.jsx that comes with Ae (in the Scripts folder) which does exactly the same thing.

  He puts on a scale by a factor uniform using a temporary null object. You can twist no uniform scaling by a factor.

  But if you want only to preserve the size of the layers and adjust their position so that their new position relative to the new comp Center is the same as previously, the script above can not help.

  In the simplest situation you just compensate for all positions of layers related by the same amount: [(compNewWidth-compOldWidth) * 0.5, (compNewHeigth-compOldHeight) * 0.5].

  Not sure it will work well in all situations (such as 3D with cameras).

• Limitation of the size using MS Backup backup

  When I am using MS Backup and backup on a USB key, it fails due to the limit of 4 GB FAT32 file structure.  I use Acronis True Image, because it breaks the backup into several files.  I want an another backup because of the structure of True Image files.  Is there a way to get around this or software to which is attached a file that can be read without special software being preinstalled on the disc?  Backup will work with the USB, the file size limit is the problem.  I would like to use the USB as it is less expensive ($35 for 16 GB), I have several backups and store them off-site and it is faster than my external hard drive.  I prefer to use backup rather than copy / paste, because you can save sets of files from backup rather than having to select the individual files you want to include or exclude backups each time.   Thanks in advance for your comments.

  I just wanted you to know that I found the answer.  I was unable to format one of my readers for memory stick USB using the techniques above.  But I did an internet search and came up with the following article.  (http://www.ntfs.com/quest22.htm)  It describes how to go to the device and select "optimize performance". After selecting this option, you can use the process cited by Praseetha K. to format to NTFS flash drive.  It'll back in the drop-down list box.  But that will happen that after selecting the option optimize for performance and apply.  My system must be different from all the systems described in the answers because I can't come up with all the menus via the techniques mentioned but by using 'My Computer', Device Manager' and 'Properties', I was able to convert the file format.   But be careful.  Under 'my computer' it will allow you to format a drive including your boot drive.  Make sure that you have selected your USB key before selecting the format!   And it will erase any information on this drive.   Thank you all for your help and maybe it will help others.

  Cannot recover Windows Paint up to full size, no matter what I try. All I get is a picture of size 1/4 in the upper right after save as jpeg. on the desktop. I get full picture in paint, but then after the backup down it goes. I increased the pixels, the size, everything. I can get more SMALL, but not the size. It was working fine, but then down it went.

  I think this is the second time that this has happened, but don't remember not how you solve it the first time. Age, I guess?

• Data store sizes do not correspond to the sizes used all the vm

  Hey guys, I'm new in Vmware and I have a background of storage and I wonder if its correct what I see when I compare the total size of all the stores of data vs the 'space used' totals of all VMs running on these data stores.

  I see a total of 139 to on data warehouses with 33 to free space and when I add the vm used all space I have a totall TB 138. It's the size of all data stores!

  This seems not very accurate for me, I expect the total space used much lower. All the vm uses eager reset thick space.

  I hope someone can explain or confirm that they see similar things?

  For used space I exported the list of all the vm XL, cut in two the column space to separate the numbers from the gb / tb, changed all amounts of GB space and have XL add up the sum of all spaces.

• How can deselect an option button in the group 'Size', using Applescript to print several pages at 100%

  I hit a serious problem to update my application to use Adobe Acrobat DC 2015.

  I try to use the graphical interface to print multi-page documents but do not uncheck an option "Shrink oversized pages"button, checking a different 'Real size'button, in the same group. The two buttons are checked, and printing is by default the Junk button, print several pages on a sheet, instead of 100%.

  Anyone know of a different way to uncheck that darn button, or better yet, how to direct print the document. I can't find any online documentation of printing direct formatting.

  I need to print all pages, to 100%, with a particular printer, the "theLargePagePrinter". In addition, we use Pitstop Pro 13.

  I'm drawing with the line segment tool.  When you draw a line with the line segment tool, you can adjust the shape and the size of the line by selecting in the palette shapes.  However, every time I draw a new line, the beginning of the line back to the original size, and then I have to reselect the type / size of the brush again thereafter, it takes time, how I set up where she remembers the last type/size brush I used. IM on illustrator cs5 passing.

  Go in the appearance Panel, and in the dialog box, deselect new Art has basic appearance.

  This option is enabled by default, because many users unwilling to stay with the same brush or the appearance that they have applied the last time and who usually want tou know that this option is enabled by default. There was a time I think in CS or CS 2 where this is not checked by default.

  Hi John,.

  You can add styles that are only used when printing (or print preview). In the frame header HTML on your page (or in the header section of the page template if you want on all pages), add something like:

  <style type="text/css" media="print">
  * {font-size:24px!important;}
  </style>
  

  This will set all the text to 24 px. Obviously, adjust according to your needs.

  When I print a model for sewing, it does not print the right size. Each model has a square inch test and the test square on the printed document shall measure a square inch or model will be wrong. My test of square inches measured five eighths on a thumb. So, the block quilt that I am sewing will not fit. I think I need to change the settings, but I have no idea what, how and where.   For some odd reason, I can't increase the percentage more 45.84% in the section of the dialog Web Image size, save for

  so whenever I have save a slice, it ends up to half the original size.

  

  I remember ever change a setting that can get there... How Photoshop could prevent you to save your image in original size?

  Please help me. I manage to get the slice in the original size now to meet the deadline for my project.

  As far as I know, photoshop for the web economy imposes a limit of size about 8182 pixels height or width and if the range or image is larger, save for web shows that the image/slice has been resized.

  The strange part is if is not a click on one of the options the Image size, the image/slice seems to be saved in the original format, even if it is greater than 8192 pixels in height or width.

• Huge catalog of 100 pages in size - using InDesign CC - files is 492 GB!

  I have a catalog InDesign CC 100 pages, which is 492 GB! Each page has placed the Illustrator CADs in one. Format HAVE. Is there a way to prepare the CADs Illustrator before placing them in InDesign that will reduce the overall size of the InDesign file and finally the exported PDF file?

  What is the output destination? If treated right you could solve the problem of file size InDesign and PDF by pixelation CAD drawings to a high resolution. You would have to watch out for the black conversion lines in 4 colors and you may need more than 300 typical PPI, but you would probably get a lot of compression, export to PDF format to repeat the background pixels. The rasterization could easily be scripted or batch.

  You can also try the export at .idml and reopening of idea. If everything is placed and connected, 492 mb still seems high.
