I have a new macbook pro opportunity - now try to reinstall the software that was on my old macbook pro. my copy of dreamweaver CS3 (I have the disks with serial No.) goes through the complete installation, then said: "you cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling then this product or Adobe customer service for help. "I have disabled dreamweaver on my old machine and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Dreamweaver opens a second brief on the new machine before the error message appears, but not long enough for me to click on the Help menu to reach the button ACTIVATE.

  (2) install them, and then enable Dreamweaver CS3 on my new computer Windows

  You can not. Serial numbers are platform specific and platform swaps are available only for the current version which is CS6. CS3 is also too old to qualify for an upgrade so that your only options are buy CS6 or subscribe to the creative Cloud of Dreamweaver version.

  I design for print and each year more and more customers have asked me if I would design their website after that I designed their brochures and other related material. For the past nine years, I never found the time to learn web production. I bought Adobe PageMill and then upgraded to Adobe GoLive 5 but I never found the time to learn from these programs. But lately, Web design applications have persisted. I downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver CS4, but it is too slow on my 1.25 GHz G4 MDD two-way, running Mac OS 10.4.11.
  
  So, I bought the Dreamweaver CS3 upgrade, which was still available from Officemax.com. I also bought "Dreamweaver CS3: The Missing Manual ' by David McFarland. I'll go through the tutorials the weekend trying to become functional with Dreamweaver.
  
  I'll use it in WYSIWYG mode and not as a HTML coder.

  I worked with Dreamweaver CS3 for several years.  I recently updated from a computer running Windows Vista on a computer running Windows 10.  I don't want to buy the latest version of Dreamweaver, because it's so different from what I am used to that I have to learn from scratch...   Dreamweaver CS3 problem (version 9.0 build 53)-with FTP. I took my host FTP connection settings and try to put them in Dreamweaver - it download my site only partially. If I use the same settings on FileZilla FTP - it download the site as intended. What is the problem with my Dreamweaver FTP?

  Dreamweaver CS3 is a very old program. 8 full behind versions. It is likely that the DW FTP is obsolete and does not support connections to the host.

  Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later. This means that what he says - there is another 'install' pending / assets on your system, which means somewhere, there is a process (invisible) always blocking things. Whatever it is, since you have not provided any real technical info, we can not advise specifically. If you are using Windows, you can check your task manager and to terminate any process setup.exe and msiexec.exe more potentially will need to manually fix / remove some registry keys. What beyond this, you will be much more accurate.

  If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

  I am creating a website using the 2 column fixed, no sidebar, header and footer template html in Dreamweaver CS3.  I tried to put a photo in the right side bar as well as in the part main content or to the left of the page, and no image is displayed when I view it in any of the browsers I use.

  I did some only minor changes in the colors and sizes, but other than that, no other changes.  The pic that I put in the header appears perfectly fine.

  Otherwise, it could be that your images were not optimized for the web (jpg RGB)?  In Photoshop, click on save for Web...

• Dreamweaver CS3 in Vista 64 and Windows 7

  I use Dreamweaver CS3 on Vista 64 and Windows 7 Pro for about 2 months now.

  When I go to set up a new Site definition, then select a Local root folder, I find that I have to go down an additional directory in order to get Dreamweaver to select the directory I want as root. (example: select the directory of the image).

  Windows 7 is officially released today, I wonder if this problem was a bug in CS4, and how the preforms of CS4 on Windows 7.

  I've been hodling off upgrade to CS4 for a year now, as Adobe has not to make statements about support for Windows 7.  If adobe has release some statements, can someone point me to the statement?

  What is the schedule of possible output for CS5, I think may 2010?

  CS2: April 2005 (19 months)

  CS3: April 2007 (24 months)

  CS4: Oct 2008 (19 months)

  CS5: May 2010 would be 19 months - but only Adobe knows the actual date.

  I have problems with the links from the root of the site when I'm working on my localhost with Dreamweaver CS3.
  
  I'm building a site with PHP, MySQL using the WAMP server. I have a page (www.site.com/index.php) I want to copy in the subdirectories (e.g. www.site.com/about/index.php) then I want to do the copy as painless as possible by using the links from the site root (e.g. /about/index.php). It works on the internet but NOT on localhost.

  I just logined here and I think I met a problem when you use my Dreamweaver CS3. I can't use the 'draw the layout table (layout only model)' and 'Draw the layout cell (model layout only)' funtion. I am new to Dreamweaver, but I used Dreamweaver for several months... I can use these functions in Dreamweaver 8.0 to do the same work...
  
  I just need a few ideas you can support for me how I can use the funtion... maybe something wrong with my registration?

  This is because you are working in table view Standard in DW8, but in
  CS3 page layout mode.

  Avoid mode layout completely. Try to VIEW | Table Mode > Standard Mode...

• is it legal to install and use the old registered version of Dreamweaver CS3

  Just try to clarify this point, I felt that I could use my old registered version of Dreamweaver CS3. In fact, I downloaded and installed in June. Our audit software now reported installation as invalid and wonder for a purchase budget. We are a volume license site, if that makes a difference. Thank you
