level shared application cloning

Hello

Please clear my doubts

(1) I want to put some CM on the DB node, then I'll run adpreclone.pl appsTier DB node and select CM to clone on this system of LAW (I guess in the clone post guests you will be asked to us who is the primary node and which is the secondary node), for other services, I'll put on the applications node in sharing node DB file system and run perl adclonectx.pl addnode.

(2) I'm confused in this step-> according to oracle we should share file sytem and running addnode command on the application node to add services on this node? Instead it after that file sharing is over we run postclone and say install these services on this node, then this won't work?

3) what I need to run preclone on DBnode before adaddnode, we run? According to the metalink doc 384248.1

4-node Admin goes with default application primary node?

Concerning

Hello

your talking about secondary application tier or primary... both off them I run command addnode after that DB is cloned? I want to put CM services DBtier and rest on APPSTier.

I'm talking about the secondary application layer node.

Kind regards
Hussein

In the installation of shared application layer traditional in r12 after sharing the system of additional application files of the nodes, we run installed on all additional application nodes and to the quickly install screen, "choice", we choose "Following Load saved configuration" and enter the appropriate database connection string. RIGHT

If the above is true I just see in the document Sharing The Application Tier File System in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [384248.1 ID]
Section 3: Install a file system shared Application Tier with output 12 quick install saying that

If the main application node is not the same as the database node, run a quick installation on each additional application node, as well as on the main application node. This means that if the main application node is on the databasetier or knot so no need to run quickly install on secondary or additional nodes request? If we do not run fast installation on the secondary node how installation will be completed? and how the inst_top will be created

If the main application node is on the database layer node you should always run quick installation on the nodes of level secondary application, but when you run a quick installation on the database node (where the main application node is installed), you select 'Create a new configuration file' (NOT load the configuration file).

I did the production facilities by running installation on the node secondary, even when the main application node is on the database layer or node, I na had no problems

    What you did is correct.

  • cloning of shared application layer

    Hello

I want to duplicate the shared application layer, but I don't know how to deal with it please tell me the steps, I think like this

DB - CM on machine DBX
    All services on APPX

    (1) normal preclone, appsTier on the source machine dbtier

    (2) I copy files target DBX systems

    (3) target on postclone dbTier DBX and AppsTIer (because the node of the main application will be DBX accommodation CM only, through this step CM and DB is cloned)

    (4) then I'll share the file system DBX for secondary application layer node.

After sharing how to clone other services on the secondary node to application source target? Using the addnode script?

If all users access the same method is the custom method must be synchronized?
Since it is a single method, will be accessible to all users there be a performance problem?

The answers are YES and YES according to how often access you the service method.
If you call it frequently, you are better off putting the service method in a module of the normal application.

  • -Objects of Application - components-level shared how the code ON_NEW_INSTANCE

    Hi all
I am creating an application with tabs allow you to provides the main record (P2006_NAP_ID) id to each page. So, I created a level Application (F2104_NAP_ID) element.

F2104_NAP_ID is to somehow give the value of the item P2006_NAP_ID of the page after page 2006 is presented and the id is generated.

I read in some messages of RTO that ON_NEW_INSTANCE should be used in a calculation of pl/sql. And I thought that this calculation would probably be on page 2006.

I need assistance in the drafting of this calculation of pl/sql ON_NEW_INSTANCE. I can't find any reference to this. I even searched the SQL - OTN-PL/SQL forum. But, no luck.

    Appreciate any ideas or suggestions,
    Maggie

    Maggie:

If the 2006 page uses automatic APEX line (DML) treatment to manage all DML actions, you can specify an application/page element (F2104_NAP_ID) to receive the primary key id (P2006_NAP_ID) (see the Source: article treatment of automatic line (DML)) page editing process.

You can just as easily set the value of the application element in a bid after the process in 2006 page page. The code would simply be

    :F2104_NAP_ID:= :P2006_NAP_ID;

  • A shared application module create a lot of locks

    Hello world

First of all, I don't know if I do use just to the SharedAM application level...

We put your static data, we also store the results of some described as "static" procedure stored in a hash table and a few general indicator Boolean. Sometimes return us a set of rows according to a criterion of view, once again, we are changing the data and return an array or a vector and some time, we return (or change) the local variables, like our flags and our HashMap. In most cases, access is done directly via a Java Bean.

When I have hundreds of users, I meet a lot of locks when I do this specific code

    DCDataControl dc = BindingContext.getCurrent().findDataControl(SHARED_LOOKUP_SERVICE_DATA_CONTROL);

Thanks to all for your responses.

I finally found the problem in our SharedAM. It is because we have methods for translation, which called for the database and these methods have been very often called, and of course, they were not cached. So I fixed that by moving the database stored in non-sharedAM procedure call.

  • 11.1.2 shared application - Services groups

I noticed that in Shared Services, under the folder of the Application groups, I have all my applications configured under a folder with the exception of planning. Or what I see Planning under Navigate/Applications in the workspace.

My EMP 11.1.2 configuration went well with no errors and all green checkmarks.

I guess it's something wrong with my Provisioning (what we do at the level of the Group). Right now, I am just using the user ID default admin, who may just have rights to the roles of Shared Services and do not intend.

    JTS

This edition... It seems in the Configurator of our deployment and web app roleout are out of sync. The roles of provision were not the problem.

Apparently, it's the weirdness of Configuration still exists in 11.1.2

    Hi launches

Yes, applications must be installed in each users account. All Apps Store can be installed on up to 5 computers and an unlimited number of users on this PC. This includes store apps that you have purchased.

Log in the computer with one of the other accounts.

Open the Store Windows and press the Windows key + I to display the settings.

Select your account in the settings menu and the journal in the store with the same store account that you used to install the apps for your administrator account.

Right click in the window of the store and select your applications on the top toolbar.

In the drop-down menu, select applications .

Select applications to install on the account and click the icon to install the toolbar at the bottom.

Repeat this process for each account.

This process will be changed when upgrading Windows 8.1 is released later this year. You will be able to install the applications on the other accounts at once using your administrator account.

  • Rapidclone running on multiple levels of applications in parallel

    Hello

I'm working on a project to add 4 new nodes of level apps to our 12.1.3 RAC EBS environment. Currently, adcfgclone.pl takes about 20 minutes to complete on each node, what drives our downtime on longer than we would like. Is it possible to run adcfgclone on each node to layer of applications at the same time, or should we do one at a time? I know that it will update the DB tables, so this may introduce a risk of blocking, but I don't know if the utility would be able to deal with it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Robin

As this will cause the architectural change, adcfgclone should be run in series, not parallel.

I know it causes downtime, but yes there is no choice now
