You could try to copy the contents of the DVD to a folder on your hard drive. Then start the installation from there.

(I've seen a post or two during the upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit of Vista 32 bit). Could just be a funky DVDROM drive problem. Copy of the files should ignore the issue.

    I hope this helps!

  • Some USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this 40TL963B

Hi all. I recently bought a new 40TL963B and so far I have found nothing wrong with her.

Except that... when I listen to it all the Satellite channels, I noticed thay were very different from my FreeSat box. Duplicate the layers, randomly arrested... etc. It made me want to not use the built-in satellite feature.

However, I found a program called ToshibaEdit which allowed me to manually change all the digital channels on the TV. Grand... I though. Until I met this problem-->

Inorder to change the ads, you must copy the TV channels on a USB flash drive, you can edit them on your PC. Now, it took me AN HOUR to do, because of two flash readers I used, none of them worked... I kept getting a "Write Fail" error. WTF?

The disks are formatted in FAT32, one is a 8 GB is 2 GB.

Finally, I tried an external 2.5 "USB 120 GB hard drive. Even if the disc is defective... This WORKER. I expect flash drives to work, to be honest, but all of them... the external USB hard drive worked.

In any case, I spent another hour sort channels, until I was ready to transfer the data back. And. Yes... the same problem. This time, I received an error "failed to read". Again, tried the external USB HDD... worked the first time.

Now, this HARD drive is faulty, so he'll be thrown... so I'm going to need a flash player to do it again if something happens.

And then... can ANYONE tell me why on Earth two appropriate, fully working almost brand new USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this TV, but a former, fairly well defective USB external drive MADE? In addition, the same flash drive that I tried to copy the data from digital channel with was also used for a backup of the Firmware... and it WORKED perfectly. It works also for use with the media player.

While this TV has a hatred of Flash drives all of a sudden?
Anyone can shed some light on this?

In addition, very quickly, TV seems to lose its TV settings every time that I bring the TV out of Eve. I'm going to the TV Dynamic and adjust all the settings, but he returned to AutoView and all settings back to 0. Is it a fault or is there something I need to do to 'save' the settings per channel?

Any help at all will be appreciated greatly.

    Hello

    > And then... can ANYONE tell me why on Earth two appropriate, fully working almost brand new USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this TV, but a former, fairly well defective USB external drive MADE?

AFAIK the 40TL963B TV supports a common HS USB 2.0 interface and memory flash can be formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 file system. So there is no specific requirement for USB flash memory

  • What is a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive?

I just bought my 3rd USB flash drive in the hope of being able to copy my recovery image. My computer would not use the first two I tried all ports USB 4 - port 2.0 and 3.0. This time, I bought a HP flash drive who said that she supports Windows 8. I understand that I should not use a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive. Before I open this disc, I want to know if it's a. If so, I will return it not open - unlike the first two I tried.

The States of package under requirements that Windows 8 is one of the necessary systems. For me, this does not mean that it is certified for Windows 8. Am I wrong?

    Computer: HP 500 - a60. 8.1 Windows (x 64)

    Hello

Your question has not been answered by Erico on one of your other posts?

If a piece of equipment is certified MS then it should be presented to MS for certification.  Some USB flash drives are marked on the package compatible with Windows 8, but this does not mean that the particular flash drive is "certified."

There is to many, many USB flash drives that work with Windows 8. Some have argued that, if the USB flash drive as a 'removable' device, so it should work with the HP Recovery Media Creator.  However, I recently discovered that one of flash USB 2 (team F108 64 G) drives that I is not set up as a 'removable device' when you open my ThisPc (myPC) and it works perfectly for me.

  • How can Kenichi Watanabe, I put my music on iTunes on an external USB Flash drive please?

I have a new USB Flash Drive 32 DB/GB and I want to put all my music in my iTunes top.  I saw instructions on apple, but they do not make sense.  Help, please.  Thank you.

Hello again...  It depends on the reason for this.  You then use the USB flash drive as internal storage location for its iTunes Media , because iTunes folder that you run lack of space on the disk?  Or maybe what you are doing to use the USB FlashDrive with a car audio system?

In the previous topic, I think you said that you use a Mac (not a Windows PC) to run iTunes, is that correct?

  • Ultrabook HP 4 t-1100 - hard drives defective - No. DVD player - made HP sells recovery USB flash drives?

    Hello

I am repairing a laptop HP Touchsmart Ultrabook 4 t-1100 for a friend. The pc wouldn't start. BSOD, would try to repair itself, then BSOD again. I ran the hard drive from the bios test. He said that the hard drive has failed. I bought a new drive hard Western Digital 7mm Blue, replaced the wrong drive, has passed the test to drive hard and then asked my friend if she had the Windows 8 recovery disc or a flash supplied with the computer player.

Apparently, the recovery discs are not included with Ultrabooks, nor are a recovery flash drive. Being that this computer has been for a schoolgirl teenager, given to him by his mother of the computer-illiterate, nor had the foresight to do a restore of backup USB flash drive. All Ultrabooks do not have a reader of CD/DVD/BLU, so a USB recovery "disk" is necessary.

I don't have another computer to Windows 8 lying autour to make a USB recovery. Some people sell images of USB recovery on eBay, but they don't seem very good reputation.

And apparently they do not put the product key of Windows 8 on the bottom of portable computers more either! HP offers to sell a "recovery disc" through their section of the support of their website, but it is obviously not a DVD player to put it in.

Here's my quandry: If I buy the "recovery disk" HP, they will send me a DVD or a USB FlashDrive with a system image on it? And if they send me DVD, I'll be able to put it in a computer Windows 7 and make a bootable system image that then I could put it on a USB key? Then, Windows will automatically find the product key?

  • USB FLASH DRIVE-WHERE ARE YOU?

    I HAVE A LAPTOP OF HP 2000-64 - BIT, WINDOWS 8.

I inserted my little inot the laptop USB Flash drive, however, I don't see any!

I hear a noise when he goes telling me its there, but where is?

On my old computer (HP XP), desktop, it might open in a box and ask if I want to take action or not, etc..

When I insert the disc, nothing happens. Can anyone help me out there? It has nothing to do with my popups or my security settings of Norton that I am puzzled?

    Thank you!

    Dee

'Computer' check to see if the drive shows up there.

In Windows 8, open search settings using the Windows Key + W keyboard shortcut, type "autoplay" in the search box and click on Autorun. You can tell him what to do with all types of media when inserting.

  • 16 GB HP v165w USB Flash Drive need to use for the backup

I let my friend use my new port thingy (USB key) and it was brand new. I'm not good with computers and I need to use it to back up my system and it keeps giving me options of media when I plug can in. someone help me clear it and explain how to do the back upward with a usb flash drive

When you say "he keeps giving me...". ", what is"it "?  Are you saying that WIndows asks if you want to, say, open the device with Windows Explorer or do nothing or some other options?  It is the Autoplay detect that a device has been mounted and asking what you want to do.  Tell him not to do anything or to open it in Windows Explorer and then check the option always use this choice.

  • Split 13 x 2 PCs 13-m110dx: cannot perform the system recovery using a USB flash drive

I just bought a Split 13 x 2 13-m110dx PC that came with Windows 8. I have upgraded the OS to 8.1 and made a copy of the recovery Partition using a USB flash drive, and deleted the recovery of the PC disk that I learned that I could do. However, when I tried to retrieve OEM provided using the USB flash drive by following the directions at creation and use of a recovery of Microsoft USB drive (Windows 8) "System Recovery" was not available to the title of "troubleshooting." I tried to tell it to boot from the USB, but it askes me to insert the support of windows or other media, but rejects the flash player. What do I do now because I have not all discs?

To use the Flash created to restore the system to the factory settings, see "Recovering from a USB flash drive" appearing in the following link:

HP computers - running a HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
HP System Recovery allows to reinstall or restore a HP with Windows 8 computer to the way it was at a previous time.
  • Laptop HP 15-R084NG: is it possible to copy a HP recovery on another USB flash drive support?

    Hello.

    Just a few questions please:

    1. when I do only once "HP Recovery Media" to a USB key, I can then 'copy' and 'paste' on another USB flash drive as long as the 2nd flash player has sufficient capacity?

    The recovery still works well?

I ask this question in case I have to change to another USB flash drive and I am aware I can only have a copy of the HP recovery.

    2. If this is the case, I then can also make a backup on a Western Digital external drive so that in case of malfunction of the USB flash drive, can I still transfer files to another USB flash drive?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

    Best regards.
