• Meta Refresh does not refresh the menu drop-down select options but don't check the boxes... IE works without error (Max FF issue)

  Drop-down list not update even if the html code was changed using the meta refresh tag. The problem has been resolved by deleting the name of the list in the html code in the part of my page refresh. It's a php script, so I can do but with html directly, I don't see a way to solve the problem for others finding this a problem, FF should not do this.

  the script modifies the page preceding between the discount and the 'real' html that resolves this problem, otherwise FF does not update the drop-down lists at all, but it is updated check boxes and everything.

  You must reload and bypass the cache to reset the choices made through selection and from the drop-down list boxes.
  
  Otherwise the selection are reloaded from the cache, so a meta reload does not work either (can work if you reset the through an onload event).

• The new Amazon firefox extension prevents the redirection.

  Of course, this happened a couple of days. My firefox, which is always updated, suddenly stopped displaying many Web sites. The problem was how a page looks completely WHITE. After a bit of investigation, including a few cycles to uninstall/reinstall, I realized that all the pages of the problems were trying to perform a redirect using a meta refresh tag. The info on the site of support (here) says this was related to the configuration of the browser, but I got the tag configuration properly set to false (the default value of value, which * allows * redirection). I actually tried to adjust for real and, curiously, when I did I got then the message from browser saying that the redirect was blocked, and when I clicked "allow" it went thru! To make a long story a little shorter, the problem has proved to be the EXTENSION of FIREFOX AMAZON OFFICIAL - who has been updated on 10 December. When I removed this extension and restarted my firefox, everything started working properly again. I notified Amazon of the problem, but I thought that it would be important to post this notice here, as well, because I imagine that other users probably have the same problem.

On this screen, the tab 'Extensions'. If it shows the 'official Amazon firefox extension' you need to remove this. It told me to restart the browser at this time here, but I did, just to be sure. • Redirect to form blind

  Hai people...

  Struggeling with something that I can't get a solution for:

  I have an email with 2 links, behind these links are blind form shipments, that way people will end up in the segment A and B according to the link that they click... These links, the link to a file (external). Now, when you receive mail and you click on the link opens a window "white" and the file starts to download! So far so good...

  But is there a way to "redirect" the receiepent at a landing or page specific to a window of the page on my site without disturbing the download and/or by moving the white form. ?

  In the steps of treatment of the blind form, I tried 2 redirects to the Web page but this interferes with the download of the file.

  Someone at - it an idea?

  Hi Marnix,

  We ended up with a very nice solution to this problem by thinking steps in a slightly different order. Rather than redirect the right to record, we connect our download submit links thanks to a blind man that redirects directly to a thank you page. This page says something like "thank you for downloading a trial of our software! Your download will begin momentarily. So on this page, a few seconds after it is loaded, we redirect to the downloadable file. In this way, rather than a white screen when they begin to download, they see a beautiful thank you to the search page, and they can continue to browse our site for additional value.

  The two the most common ways to achieve this are:

  1. Use Javascript to redirect the page to the file a few seconds after the page loads, or
  2. Use a meta refresh tag to do the same thing

  Personally I use Javascript and where my visitors don't have JS enabled, I have a link after the thank you message that allows them to download directly.

• cflocation falling characters

  Specifically he loses the ampersand "&" and all characters after that.

  I have a simple search engine that sends the element sought at a page of action where according to what variables are routed, it addresses the form or sends the variable in the url to another page to get processed.

  The form correctly send variables to the processing page. Using cfdump that I see that I am getting the correct search element. Then I use cflocation to send the search item to another page for treatment but at this stage on the third page the variable missing nothing behind the ampersand. "A & B" becomes "A".

  My treatment page looks like this.

  I get "has & B ' on this page treatment, but on the page of search.cfm when dumping on the variable url I get 'A' and everything beyond and including the & is stripped.

  I tried to define the variable as a session on the processing page variable, but that no longer works. I tried to use a meta refresh tag, but got the same results. I googled and can't see anything on it.

  The sign '&' must be a character valid to search for in the database.

  Well well... & a special meaning in a URL, isn't?  It's the separator between parameters name/value pairs.  So, if you need them in your data (ie: the value of a parameter) you will need to encode so that the web server KNOWS its data and is not part of the structure of the URL.

• Redirect a session timeout in ASP.

  I built a client area for my site which is accessible to clients only. The information displayed in a database are important (for example the passwords and phone numbers), I need the session timeout and redirect. I have successfully created this code which works like a treat:

  As timeout only page but used redirects them, just at the moment where they're trying to go to a page that is used by the connection, it will be will give them an access denied page.
  I came up with this script so that it would redirect them, at the end of the session so that no one can view information about the current page:

  but this doesn't seem to work.

  OK I solved this by simply putting a HEAD of refresh tag in my template so after 180 seconds (3 minutes) y page redirects to my auto logout page presentation. That's what I wanted to achieve so that when a user leaves and forgot to sign out, then the page will record the automatically, as long as the user is not refreshing the page, I'll be fine! :)

  What I have to do now is to stop people from just close the browser and click the link "logout".

  I'm a newbie, getting ready to load my first site. Works for my client on meta tags. Dreamweaver extension meta tag generator calls for "refresh after." I guess that shortly, but how many seconds normally used for this?

  In addition, reading the other posts, it looks like I can go out with the help of metas only on the index.htm page. Can customize metas for other pages more later (?).

  All advice appreciated.

• How to refresh the tags in PSE8 Organizer

  The command Edit > update thumbnail will be re-read a time photo, caption, rating, number of stars and GPS/map location.  But unfortunately, it is not re-read labels - for the tags, you must re - import the photo.

• Insert the head - html - tags refresh

  Hi, I just got this yesterday and have had a lot of trouble with it, the software does not install correctly, the device is not recognized. It get stuck on the scene "refreshing your media" - I made a couple of soft resets. but it doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help with this?

  How long took you? It may only appear to be frozen (the progress bar isn't really evolve for as long as it takes to finish properly). What may cause it to take a long time: a large number of files and/or folders, files corrupted and botched the ID3 tags.

A lot of songs, but I almost another 8 GB put music on the player. I don't know why, but every time I drag the music into the internal memory, everything comes as 'unknown' and it's really annoying. I've tried dozens and dozens of albums and they all appear as 'unknown', but when I remove them and put them on the microsd card, he appears with labels and all. is there a better alternative to go to: file > internal > music > records with no tags?   SANSAS cannot read all types of tag. They cannot manage ID3v2.2 and ID3v2.3.

  If you have a drive model v1, you can try the recovery mode.  When it lights you will first see the Sandisk logo.  If you see a blue below Sandisk Sansa , you have a v2 and no recovery mode.  Otherwise, you have a v1.  Another way to determine the model is to look at the back cover of the drive, usually in the lower right corner extreme.  If it says e2x0v2 you have a v2.

  Assuming that you have a v1 (or R) model,.

  Turn off the player.

  Slide the HOLD button on the locked (to headphone jack) position.

  Press and hold the RECORD button when connecting to the PC.

  Output RECORD when the "Welcome to recovery mode" message on LCD player.

  Open my computer and check for a new removable disk marked 16 MB-FORMAT.

  VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT DIRECTLY ATTEMPT TO FORMAT THE VOLUME OF 16 MB-FORMAT!

  There are a number of possible causes of the error of locking of the refresh database.  Some of the problems involve the id3 tags is not a valid or invalid characters inside some of the tags.  Get a program called mp3tag and use it for virgins as comment tags.  For best results, set the format of writing for id3v2.3 iso-8859-1.

  It is also a good idea to update your firmware to the latest and greatest version.  The latest versions tend to be more robust in dealing with the same files that will cause previous versions of firmware in camera on the refresh database screen.
