  Method 1:

  Run the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

  Method 2:
  It could be that the Windows media Player library is corrupted. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

  Step 1:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

  c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  e. launch Windows Media Player and check.

  Step 2:

  If step 1 does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. Click Start, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.

  c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  I am using Windows 7 and when I reorganize the library in Win Explorer, the Windows Media Player library remains unchanged.   Hi and thanks for your response. I tried you solution but it did not work for me. However, it led me to a Solutions of Web sites on which Microsoft Fixit Windows Media Player popup appeared. I down loaded and ran that and it worked. Thus, in a round point average, thank you for getting my problem is resolved.

• Shortcut icons disappear - Win 7 64 Pro

  Recently, I installed Win 7 64 bit Pro on my PC with a new HARD drive that is partitioned C: for the system and programs and E: for data. HDD back, put in place in a similar way, has Win 7 64 bit Ultimate installed and did not have the problem described below.

  On my desk, I have many shortcuts for programs that are installed on the C: Partition, in addition, five shortcuts that refer to the library of records related to E: Partition of data. I have confirmed that these five icons are addressing their E: locations. They are not broken links. They may well sit on the desktop, is not used for several days, but it only shortcuts to the icons of programs.

  From time to time, these five specific icons disappear without apparent reason. Here today, gone tomorrow, kind of thing. No other icons are affected. I can't tie this action to a particular event, so I can't determine the cause.

  Can someone please provide a fix for this annoying problem.

  It seems to be a problem with missing or damaged system files, or due to the corruption of the user profiles. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

  1. do you get any error code or error message while starting?

  2 are you facing this problem after the installation of any program/app?

  I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

  Method 1:

  Put the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem persists. This is to check if the problem is caused due to any third-party program or app.

  When I select the document library, and I try to use "arrange by" to sort the files by something else that documents all files disappear and the library says it has 0 files. If I reopen the tab "arrange by" and select 'folders' everything reappears. If I go directly to the root directory and select "My Documents" then everything works fine. What is the point of a library, if I create a folder on the desktop to have sortable directories?

  To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start and then click computer.

  2 right-click Documents in the navigation pane, and then select delete.

  3. click on Yes if asked for confirmation.

  Note: Remove a library does not delete the contents of the included folders. However, you need to add or include your folders manually, if required.

  Then, in the Windows Explorer navigation pane, click libraries and click restore default libraries.

  

  This re-creates the library that was removed earlier. This option only restores the default libraries.

• Widgets in the library disappeared

  Hey, all.  I bought two widgets Gain of Muse, and when I installed them, all the widgets pre-loaded in my library (those who are there when you install Muse, as the widget menu and other) everything has disappeared.  Now the two widgets in the library are the two that I bought. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to get back all those pre-loaded widgets? I've attached a screenshot of my library window so that you can see.  Thanks in advance!

  Are you sure that you open the correct catalog? Search the .lrcat files and if you find the good double click it.

  You have backup catalogs (do you not)? Open your most recent backup catalog and see what you have.

  I don't know about the first 12 items, but I don't see how that would be linked to lose your LR catalog.

• iTunes library disappeared after El Capitan upgraded

  After the upgrade of the OS Yosemtie to El Capitan, my 6 000 more than songs in my iTunes library are missing and not appearing is not in iTunes.   My hard drive reflects a lot of space is used by 'audio' so I guess that the songs are somewhere and I need to repopulate their return to iTunes?  If I had known that el Capitan do that I ever would be improved.  I have a time Machine backup to an external drive of my iMac before the upgrade.  Please, it ruined the x - mas!

  See the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. If the media and the previous iTunes libraries folder are not there so that you can restore the iTunes folder all your Time Machine backup.

  If you are referring to the new photo gallery that comes with Windows Essentials 2012, then you won't be able to install it on the Windows Vista operating system. See the link for Windows Essentials 2012 requirements:

  These files can only be set to hidden,

  Massive rearmament of the hidden attributes can be done by right clicking the (my photos) entry in the folder tree section and select Properties, general tab, select the hidden check box and click on apply, this will change all files to hidden, click Yes, and then uncheck the hidden box and if applied, it will remove the attribute hidden all your files, click Yes and then save.

  Did you check https://assets.adobe.com to see if your libraries are always there?

• virtual library machine has 2 folders of window 7 x 64!

  I use a Mac pro with OS 10.8.2.

  I have VMware 5.0.2

  Both systems work well. But some how in a vrtual machine library I have 2 folder, windows 7 x 64 and windows 7 x 64 2. the first camp program while the second files data files. Both files start windows systems 7, but also separated from widows.

  How can I combine them in a single system. While not losing not to say data files!

  Apologize for the delay. I though I had answered it.

  Based on the provided bundle, its clear that you use two virtual machines with its own virtual disks.

  You can add the virtual disk from one of the virtual machines as a secondary drive. When you start in windows, you will eventually have two drives (drives C and D). The D drive is nothing else than all of the virtual disk of the second virtual machine.

• All of a sudden disappeared from the library of images (with all of my photos). Help!

  I moved a few photos - around the image whole library disappeared.  I am able to take pictures through the bridge, but the photo library does not appear in the list of libraries and are not accessible. What should do? If you ask me how to create a new library of images and subfolders that would help settle.
