  We have a windows machine dying that our employee graphics used and has since moved to a Mac.  The problem is the license that I have does not work with the downloaded file mac.  It works on my windows machine 8 with the media, but the media are windows only.  When I try it on the Mac this is for me a invalid for this product error.  I don't think that the licenses were attached on Mac or Windows.  I would like to get the upgrade to 6 on the Mac, but would like to see 5.5 working first.  Thank you

  Hi MSirotz,

  For a retail license you can be using it on a MAC or Windows computer. The same serial number wouldn't work on both platforms, as serial numbers are specific BONES. If you want to use the software on the Mac too, so you must purchase another license for sale at retail for Mac.

  I'm just in the process to switch from Windows to MacOS. I tried my old licenses of Photoshop CS3 on Mac, but it does not (the other like Lightroom that works very well on Mac OS).
  
  What I can do... I want to restore the PC license and get a license for MacOS. But I don't want to use it on both machines, I didn't like the idea of buying a second copy.

  The memory stick is an external hard drive, as to this regard. You must search for the .tly file in the catalog file. (I assume that you do this through Windows backup and restore it on the mac).
