  Lightroom is cross-platform and you are allowed to two activations; so you can run it on both. I have mine installed on my W7 desktop and my Macbook Pro.

  Do I really need to use a hard drive according to the release notes for items 9 & 10.

  I followed the instructions in the release notes and upgraded E5 to E10 on PC with the sucessfullyand free trial have tried to transfer the catalog E10 to the Mac via the home network and memory stick. However, when you try to restore on Mac I tells me that the file is not a valid catalog! I am reaaly need to buy an external hard drive just to move a file! ?

  The memory stick is an external hard drive, as to this regard. You must search for the .tly file in the catalog file. (I assume that you do this through Windows backup and restore it on the mac).
