  Thanks John.  I did all this and still nothing worked. I finally got help from a stranger (not in the USA) tech of cat. I guess she got hold of me and sent me a link to download this file. Eureka! It worked...  Posting it here in case anyone else has this problem. She told me that there is NO SUPPORT for Pro 9 except the forums. I'm happy you're here.   Ive been using Windows 7 for about 6 months now with on any trouble until recently my DVD drive has suddenly stopped working. Windows detects the drive but when I double click on it in my computer it says please insert disc. I find the drive in Device Manager and windows recognises that there is an error that says:

  I tried to uninstall the drivers in Manager device and rebooted the computer to let auto windows find the driver and reinstall it but to start, I get a message that says:

  When I turn it on I see the power and drive green lights HARD turns on and since another computer on my network I can access individual files on the hard drive the T61p.

  However when I connect the T61p via a VGA cable for an external monitor to work I don't see Windows or images on the screen!

  Do you think it is just a problem with the screen or is there something else?

  The screen currently installed on the T61p 6457 is WSXGA 1680 x 1050 (Samsung LTN154P2-LO5).

  Feature WiFi suddenly stopped working after a windows vista updated.  Wireless switch is engaged, but stays yellow that messeges troubleshooting all say computer does not detect wireless devices.  It's as if someone pulled the unit and the antenna of the portable computer.  I also downloaded the wireless drivers and Setup several times without success.  Wireless device appears in the Device Manager page.  The only thing that is showing and work is the cable which is how I can download the drivers and appear on this forum.  Is it possible that the wireless device is broken?  All applicable lights are lit on the networking modem, no signal is detected on the computer, I have concluded that the wireless on the laptop is just inop.  Either way, I have a Compaq Presario F700 laptop.  All the options out there?  Thank you

  I don't think it's something that 'suddenly' happened. Does not support the server you connect to SPA, so if you have this option, you will be not be been able to connect to this server. You may have changed the setting to try to solve another problem?
