  Option, click on the work plan while using the spiral tool, change something small such as 5 segments.

  If you had a large quantity of segments and small spirla, the segmetn stopped to shoot.

  I know I can just do a single visible layer, and then save PNG, for example . But my question is: I have to do all the other layers in order to save invisibile only my one layer as image? Or is there a way to record only a single layer (or a few at a time) without hiding the rest of them?

  If you have Photoshop CC, you can use the new Adobe generator to export single layers without worrying about the other layer visibility.

  If you do not have CC or you do not use the generator, you must either turn off layers or fooled into a new document. Photoshop itself cannot save a single layer in a document of several layer.

  Hi, is there a process whereby say 2 seconds can be added to the timeline where the playhead is without having to go in 2 seconds all keyframes and publishes on the other layers by hand?  Time can be inserted in order to easily move everything to the right of the playhead time - without having to click and drag all the other layers?

  Yes, one edit insert will place a new layer in the timeline panel and push all the layers at the end of the additional layer. Thus, if the new layer is 2 seconds in length, all existing layers at that time will be pushed 2 seconds. Keep in mind that if the existing layers do not stop at the CTI/head of reading, an insert edit will divide them into two, so that the first part is before the new layer, and the second part jumps after the duration of the new layer. This happens because After Effects uses layers, rather than titles as do the editing applications. If the existing layers end or begin in the ICT, it won't happen.

  To create a photo insertion, alt-double click a footage item in the project Panel, and this will open the film Panel. Choose an In and Out point (use the {and}) for images set the duration and press the Insert button (see image below) mounting. This will insert the item of film as a new layer at the moment and push everything at the end of the new layer.

  I have two layers video, one a standard clip and the other a movement followed with a layer mask, akin to a null object. (I made the body of the girl, a red and black and white face)

  I have keyframes set on the hidden layer to the position of the layer and the mask shape.

  The two layers are at 70%. I want to intensify, but every time I do I lose the position of the face, it ends up by moving to the right. Is this a problem with scale something after that there position keyframes?

  The closest thing I found an answer was a lame, akin to the scale layer then layer zero. But since I have already related to a face layer zero, I don't know where to go.   The type of system change, you're talking about can only be tested on a system that best matches the production system. It has too many interactions between the CPU, memory, cache and external (disk) storage systems to be able to use a system of unpaired test and extrapolate the results.

  You will have to do equivalent performance in order to obtain meaningful results, but these tests should be done on similar systems.

  If I were you I would start by contacting your Oracle support person and identify the actual costs to continue to use your system for 4-processor and costs associated with maybe a 2 - cpu system.

  Then I estimated costs of the work in question in any change of your test system to make it as nearly equivalent to the possible production system and add in the costs of running actually load tests and a fudge factor to take account possible downtime or a financial loss due to the degradation of the system if your estimates are erroneous.

  You find it's cheaper and less risky, to pony just upward at least a 2-processor license. Who would buy at least your client enough comfort and time to design a more reliable long term solution.

• Why InDesign CS6 is add shadow to the other layers instead of just selected?

  I chose an image object to add shadow. Then the shadow also appears on the text and the other place of objects on different layers. They (the other text and objects) are not selected and did not effect that are applied to them.  In the effect controls panel I have off global light - as well. The text shadow, whatever his position layer above or below the layer with the object of the image and the target.

• impact on the performance of the vmware tools

  We had discussions about the performance impact of the installation on a virtual machine vmware tools.

  Are their any comparison between a system running vanilla versus a running vmware tools installed?

  Obviously, I think that the system will go faster with vmware drivers installed.

  Tools will only help IO performance (not counting usually do things like graphics and synchronization times work better).  If your virtual machine has no important networking or storage needs, then you probably don't need the tools.  I'm usually not worth.

  If you want very good performance network without tools, make sure you use a device virtual e1000.  You can define ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000".  This is not quite as good as real vmxnet (or new vmxnet3) but is much better than the default vlance. If you regularly push 1Gbit or more real traffic to your virtual machines, I would consider it.

  Paravirtualized SCSI is fairly new, but since I have seen that there is a performance gain enough points of reference.  But even once, most likely you need not, unless you use a disc very heavy VM I/O, such as an Oracle database server.

  If you consolidate underutilized physical machines who never use 100% CPU/network/disk, then Tools are probably a waste of time.  But if you want as close as possible to performance native and CPU utilization during intensive i/o, then Tools are worth.

  As for Redhat don't support our drivers for VMware tools, I don't see why this would practically be a problem-if you have any question/crash that you think may be related to our tools, you can always uninstall and go back to where you were before.  If you have an unrelated question, and you are worried Redhat refused to help with tools, you can do the same thing.  So what's the harm in trying them?

• Filter effect and layer the layer in the same Style vs the separate layers

  I set a photographic image and uses both a filter effect and a layer style in the same layer to a smart object.  I want to separate the two effects in two layers, one layer has the effect of filter (Nik) and a layer is the layer style (Chromakey) (in order to merge/pixelation unmerged Nik filter effect with the smart object but keeping the layer style).  I can make two layers and move an effect without problem, but the Visual result of each effect on a separate layer is very different for these two effects in the same layer.   For all my layers blending Mode is Normal.  In the color overlay Panel, the blending mode is linear burn.

  I don't understand why the Visual result is different.  I'm not an advanced user of Photoshop, so maybe I'm missing something.  It is a trial of CS6 I use.

  If you want two separate layers, and then click the layer duplicated with the color overlay layer style you can try different layers, blend modes.

  For example, below is looking the same the Chromakey with linear burn on the second layer and change the blending mode of layers in Hue.

  

  You can also put the layer in a group and apply the layer for the group style.

  If I have several layers that contribute to the current view of an image, how can I create a new layer at the top of the stack, which brings together all the layers that contribute to the view without destroying the existing layers? Thank you.

  Shift + Ctrl + Alt + E or Shift + Cmd + Option + E (mac)

  Merge Visible (stamp visible) in a new layer at the top of the layers stack so the top most layer is active (targeted) and visible

• Help with buttons to access the loaded layers

  Hi all... Using Flash CS3 and AS3 to build a learning module that loads different layers of SWFs of the buttons on the main screen.  Got this work without problems.  What I want to do is to add buttons to provide learners of features, specifically a next button, the "back" button and a check box that will keep progress automatically.  I did some massive research and so far nothing seems to work.  Seems like I am going so far is the main layer, not the new layers as they are loaded.  Here is what I tried with the back button; the next button uses nextFrame and Handler2.  It does not work.  Not even sure how to start with the check box for advance auto.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  If you try to get the swf loaded in advance and not the main timeline, you need to target the loader.content, not the root, as in:
