Lightroom 5.6 stop import

Hello

I worked with Lightroom 5.6 and lately I did all my work with this program. After a concert of marriage that I just had I returned home and wanted to work on these photos.

As usual, I'm going to the library and proceeded to import my photos, which are currently on my computer now when I select the folder that my photos are in and click on "Import" the central panel where the small previews of the pictures are said to "import files" but it just stays like that and does nothing. Lightroom was important to 0%. Usually, just take a few seconds to shoot pictures, I need in and I could just start working on them!

Just a few facts

-work with raw files

-After going to the library > import > and then by selecting the photos, the central panel with usually have small previews of the pictures but they just gray boxes (which have not yet been imported)

Try this

In the import dialog box, click on copy (if it is not already selected), then make sure that the Destination Panel on the right side is present, then CLICK on some high option you want (copy, move, adding / copy as DNG) and see if the import begins.

  • Why Lightroom 6.2 stop import when it reaches 1800 photos?

I've been using LR since LR4, but on a Windows laptop and never had difficulty in importing the photos. I bought a MacBook Pro and have 11K photos in a folder "Images" with 30 + folders inside the images folder in the Finder. When I try to import files and photos in LR6.2 it works perfectly until 1800 photos have been imported in their different folders and then LR stop importation. This has happened several times and I can not understand how to fix it.

  • Lightroom 2015 suddenly stopped importing Photos

    Hi all

I am in desparat need information.  I'm editing photos to a sporting event and when I tried to import photos from my SD card I get the following message:

    lightroom screenshot.jpg

"Could not copy a file at the location requested."

I restarted the application several times.  Change to the folder where the photos will be imported to. I even tried to import images that are not on the SD drive and still nothing works.  Can someone help me please? !!!

This error means that you don't have write permission in the folder that you want to copy the photo to.

Thus, determine what is this file, then go to your operating system and change the permissions to that SPECIFIC folder so that you have the WRITE permission.

  • 6.3 Lightroom (Mac) freezes when importing

    Hi all

Due the fact that Apple has stopped development of opening I had to do a switch after several years of feeling 100% comfortable with an opening. After some research, it became clear that most of the people would recommend Lightroom. So I bought a copy.

Import of my opening book is very well and included all my projects and notes (very important!). So far so good.

Now, I tried to import photos newly shot of my Nikon D7100. Tried with the cable. Tried with the SC card in my Macbook Air. Lightroom still freezes when importing or is back with the 'message' that none of the pictures could be read.

Returned to the opening. Connected to the camera. Quick import and 100% OK.

I can't believe that Adobe releases a new version with such a major problem... Very frustrating... want my money back!

Can anyone help? Is that a known issue - the fixes proposed in the forums don't work not (import options)? Will there be an update to Lightroom soon?

    Thank you!

Yes, please try to import images to another location.

Also, make sure that you have read and write access on the location where you import the images.

  • Lightroom Mobile not automatically import pictures - Android

Somewhere along the way, probably over the last month or two, Lightroom Mobile ceased to import pictures taken on my camera for the Lightroom Mobile catalog. I can import them manually, but I got the device set to automatically import. It is always. No idea how I can fix this? Of course I tried reboot etc.

Could you check in the settings (icon of Lr left superior collections veiw) Lr Mobile if adding auto photos + videos is always enabled. If this is not the case, just reactivate the parameter and the value of your collection of target for automatic import again. Let me know if this helps. -Guido

But why you changed the file LR?
We cannot tell the source folder and destination is the same (which we can) and does not copy the files constantly identical (it is not very logical)

  • Why Lightroom has continued to import my photos?

Lightroom has ceased to import photos to any source that I use, reader of cards, direct from the camera, external hard drive or from the hard drive of computers!

He repeats to me only that the "file can not be read!" I've had no problems so far. Why?

    Please notify.

    Hi Edwind,

It seems a problem with the permissions on the destination folder,

Please try to change the Destination folder, or give it to read and write permissions on the folder where you want to import the images.

  • Lightroom is not more important to Star Ratings.

We run 5.7 Lightroom on five computers in our office. Recently one of the instances of the program ceased to import the coast star entirely. I uninstalled on this machine and reinstalled Lightroom and was confused to see that all our imports and settings to before uninstalling were still there. I was expecting that a reinstall would erase the library and settings, but it didn't happen. This relocation did nothing of LR are missing and ratings. Our import dialog box is set to import embedded metadata sidecar, and so is not the issue.

To sum up our workflow: we RAW format, rate of star in a program called FastPictureViewer, import for the RL, make changes and export JPEG files. This workflow is the same on all machines that we use, and parameters are consistent between machines. We tested an import using a folder of images which is starred on another machine, and the sides offers childless.

What could be the cause of Lightroom to do not import data from rating star XMP for this machine?

What could be the cause of Lightroom to do not import data from rating star XMP for this machine?

Make sure that LR is not configured to include a preset metadata applied in the import window:

  • Why Lightroom 5.6 stopped mobile sync with Lightroom?

All of a sudden Lightroom 5.6 stopped mobile sync with Lightroom. I created 3 new collections that I need to sync... and Lightroom for desktop computer is just sitting there saying sync 28 pictures (of which there are 39 to synchronize) and their synchronization does not despite being connected and saying sync is turned on.  What is going on?

Could you try to delete the sync.lrdata file, and then restart LrD. It would restart/refresh sync (metadata only).

Remove the Sync.lrdata can solve everything that is the question.  Or, at least, could trigger to reproduce. So to remove the Sync.lrdata start Lr and wait until he either synchronize or gets stuck again and creates a new diagnostic log that can at this stage we hope to provide some clues.

You can find the file sync.lrdata here:

    On Mac, it's to /Users/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Sync Data / Sync.lrdata

On the victory, it would be in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches\Sync Data\Sync.lrdata

You can trigger the journal diagnostig through Desktop LR-Mobile with Lightroom > preferences, and when you hold down the ALT key, you will notice a diagnostic log button to generate

Please send me a journal diagnostig Desktop LR - better as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.

BTW. Are there listed in Lr Desktop Sync errors?

    Thank you

  • My Lightroom 6 suddenly stopped being able to read all the files for import, what hurts?

I was getting well with LR6 but it suddenly stopped being able to read files for import of SD cards - I got the message "unable to read file-. "JPG (1).

I tried several formats CR2, JPG etc but they were all unreadable, I also tried the files that had previously been imported successfully and it was not no more readable.

I use the standalone version downloaded on Amazon and a current Mac with Yosemite.

It is often the destination folder that gets changed, so if you check the permissions on the folder where you copied pictures to in the past, perhaps is no longer where Lightroom is trying to copy the pictures in.

In any case, it's always a permissions issue, and if you need further assistance, we would need to see screenshots of the section of the Destination and the permissions on this folder.

  • 5.7.1 - unexpected stop importing in Lightroom

    Hello!

    I am a photographer using Lightroom 5.7.1

My work computer is a 2.7 GHz i5 iMac from Apple with 16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3.

Lately (these two to three weeks) Lightroom 5.7.1 was unexpectedly shut down on imports. Before you attempt to import, I noticed the window import shows all as importable photos, even the pictures that have already been added to my catalog. Closing out of this forum and the opening of new import (cmd + shift + i) window will remedy the issue, stressing only photographs that have not been added to the catalog, but in almost all cases, after that the images are imported Lightroom stops unexpectedly. When you re - open my catalog Lightroom will not display images newly imported until I re - synchronize folders.

Someone at - it similar problems? It's very frustrating, without detectable cause I can say (Nothing in my workflow has changed)

The question must have been caused by the map that I'm importing. I am currently using a new card for the last three days without any problem (normally I would have a question several times a day).

  • Lightroom reduce my exposure by one stop import.

Each photo that I import appears dark and with a different histogram as the RAW file.  When the image is displayed first while downloading it seems OK for less than a second then is exhibition is lowered.  Here's what I've done:

Checked to make sure that your auto of Lightroom preferences was not selected.

Hit restore on a new import to see if there was an adjustment applied

Press SHIFT + restore with no result.

    Help, please.

When raw images are first imported into Lightroom the built-in JPEG preview is displayed. JPEG previews can be affected by various parameters of the camera the Lightroom does not read. Some devices have special settings that will impact exposure. More precisely, Nikon's active D-lighting which can affect exposure. Once the raw images are loaded into Lightroom, Lightroom generates its own overview of the raw image data. And Lightroom does not read the camera settings. The change of image is a result of Lightroom, spending the JPEG preview embedded in the overview of the raw image data generated by Lightroom.
