  I can't Lightroom to import all my pictures more. I am importing 200 pictures my memory card and all, but the last 10 pictures imported. I tried to import again, but got an error message indicating that no photos not found. I was able to import successfully on my computer without using Lightroom, but when I tried to import them into Lightroom from the files in my computer, Lightroom gave me the same error message no pictures not found.

  I thought that maybe my memory card has been altered (mostly because my camera recognize, often, not that there is a card in there when in fact it is), so I bought a new. I tried to import new photos in Lightroom and it didn't import photos how the progress bar froze to Midway through the half. I left for hours and was able to cancel it. Other attempts to import gave me the same results.

  Here is additional information:

  Canon 60 d (multiple lenses)

  5.7 Lightroom

  Windows 10

  And I tried to reboot.

  I could not find information through my research and would appreciate any suggestions and advice. Thank you!

  Please try to change the destination of import importing Images, also update the Lightroom to Version 5.7.1.

  Also are there all collections which you synced prior, so it is an Anti Virus on the computer?

  The folder you selected in the import window Destination section do not write permissions. Replace the Destination folder by a you know has permissions to write to your username or change the permissions on the folder that you have chosen as their destination and test the import again.

  I've been using LR since LR4, but on a Windows laptop and never had difficulty in importing the photos. I bought a MacBook Pro and have 11K photos in a folder "Images" with 30 + folders inside the images folder in the Finder.   I was getting well with LR6 but it suddenly stopped being able to read files for import of SD cards - I got the message "unable to read file-. "JPG (1).

  I tried several formats CR2, JPG etc but they were all unreadable, I also tried the files that had previously been imported successfully and it was not no more readable.

  I use the standalone version downloaded on Amazon and a current Mac with Yosemite.

  It is often the destination folder that gets changed, so if you check the permissions on the folder where you copied pictures to in the past, perhaps is no longer where Lightroom is trying to copy the pictures in.

  In any case, it's always a permissions issue, and if you need further assistance, we would need to see screenshots of the section of the Destination and the permissions on this folder.

  This is my first post.  I tried to get help, but does not seem to find any matches, so I apologize if I missed relevant discussions!

  I am using a Win10 computer running Lightroom 5.7.1 (and a user of LR for a few years now).

  I yesterday I found I'm suddenly impossible to import photos into LR from a network drive (for example my photos were on my drive G: for many years).

  Windows Explorer can see / access of readers (g) very well.

  Lightroom cannot import drive G:.

  In the Lightroom Catalog, my drive G: that were previously imported all photos now have the "!" symbol indicating that Lightroom cannot find them.

  Has anyone else experienced this (and solved)?

  PS the only changes to my system recently that I remember are:

  I changed my home wifi network to be considered 'private' and say to my computer "find devices and content".

  SOLVED!

  I start Lightroom via right click > 'run as administrator '.

  For some reason, instead of ensuring that you have a higher level of permissions, which causes the import drag-and - déposer in Lightroom to fail.

  So... just run with normal permissions, not with administrator-level permissions.

• iPhone 6 / Lightroom CC / can not import Photos

  I have problems to import photos from an iphone 6 in Lightroom CC on a computer Windows 10.  There seems to be no problem with the computer recognizes the device from iTunes works fine and I can access the photos on the iPhone folders in file Explorer.  However, when I try to use the "Import Photos and order of videos in LIghtroom, it seems to freeze.  The iPhone is considered to be a source in the window Import Photos and videos, but he is not pulling up from the pictures.  I have no question seeks to import photos with my CF cards or older Apple devices.   I would be very happy to hear possible solutions to fixing this problem.   Thank you!

• Update of Lightroom 2015.3 release - import function does not work

  I've updated to the latest version of Lightroom 2015.3 last night I wanted to go back to the old import screen. This is the message I get when I click on import

  An internal error has occurred

  module 'ImportCatalogDataHelper' could not be found:

  No field package.preload ['ImportCatalogDataHelper']

  No file "." / ImportCatalogDataHelper.so'

  No file ' / usr/local/lib/lua/5.1/ImportCatalogDataHelper.so'

  No file ' / usr/local/lib/lua/5.1/loadall.so'

  nothing happens-my only choice is to close this box.

  Does anyone know how to fix this?

  I tried to find someone to email or ring, but adobe just has no one to contact in any form. Very very frustrating!

• Update of Lightroom 2015.6 forget import location

  After updating Lightroom CC, I find that when importing, the previous import location is gone and I have to reset the import location in the Destination panel.

  It was nice to import always in the same place, add folders automatically by date taken... now, however, it seems that the Lightroom import module has forgotten where the last import am, so there's nothing by default.

  Be nice to be able to store a new default import location which would be the default.

  El Capitan has changed the permissions of the folder that you chose as your Destination in LR import window. Change the Destination or set the appropriate permissions on the drive/folder that you selected.

  If you have selected an external drive as destination then it could also be that external hard drive is formatted in Windows NTFS format and El Capitan deleted the utility you had installed for OS X could write to disks formatted in Windows NTFS format. OS X can read NTFS formatted the drive, but it cannot write natively to them.

• Lightroom 5.6 stop import

  I worked with Lightroom 5.6 and lately I did all my work with this program. After a concert of marriage that I just had I returned home and wanted to work on these photos.

  As usual, I'm going to the library and proceeded to import my photos, which are currently on my computer now when I select the folder that my photos are in and click on "Import" the central panel where the small previews of the pictures are said to "import files" but it just stays like that and does nothing. Lightroom was important to 0%. Usually, just take a few seconds to shoot pictures, I need in and I could just start working on them!

  Just a few facts

  -work with raw files

  -After going to the library > import > and then by selecting the photos, the central panel with usually have small previews of the pictures but they just gray boxes (which have not yet been imported)

  Try this

  In the import dialog box, click on copy (if it is not already selected), then make sure that the Destination Panel on the right side is present, then CLICK on some high option you want (copy, move, adding / copy as DNG) and see if the import begins.

• Lightroom 5 glitching when importing photos.

  I use Lightroom 5 for about a week without a problem. Today I went to import two photo shoots and the images come in very well until LR do a second pass and then they are all glitched.

  

  I do nothing differently with this import that I did with the previous one. Same camera, same format CR2, same lens, subject as well.

  Do not apply the presets or development parameters.

  Anyone know what is happening? It's scaring me.

  NEW iMac, all updated software up to date.

  It's almost always a hardware problem. Some piece of hardware in the chain of transmission of your camera on your hard drive and memory, is bad and is corrupting your images, resulting in what you see.

  You must isolate the pieces of material inidivdual, a transfer of photos using a different piece of hardware, to see if the problem goes away.
