Lightroom 5 frozen base Panel
How to unlock?
I called Adobe technical support. After about an hour (if it was Apple, it would have been 5 or 10 minutes), I had a technician on the phone. He went on my computer and showed me how to open the base Panel and told me I had hit the brush, it's the base Panel froze.

Several sliders in develop stopped RespondinMD
Thanks for the update.
Suggest you go to the develop module > select menu window > panels > select Basic, and you should get that back.
Kind regards

How can I get the base Panel in the develop module to reappear in Lightroom 5?
Hello! I just change a photo in Lightroom 5 the other day and I thought I hit something, but all of a sudden, the base Panel was missing. I went online to see how I can solve this problem and what has been proposed was to click with the right button on one of the panels and there should be an option says that base, in order to retrieve the base Panel. That's what I did, but what he does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to recover my base Panel, I hope I can get some advice.
Thank you!
The trick is to right-click on one of the other headers Panel, for example the tone curve, and you will see a context menu allowing you to reselect the ro basic Panel.
Otherwise, when in the develop Module just do Ctrl + 1 (Cmd + 1 on a Mac), or in the menu bar go to window > panels > base Panel.

I lost my 'Base' Panel in the develop module, and can not find a way to get it back. My right panel will of the histogram to the right in the tone curve Panel. My basic Panel should be below the histogram. Any ideas how to get it back. I even uninstalled my lightroom and reinstalled with the same problem. Help!
Right-click on or near one of the other headers and a pop-up will appear and you will be able to select the base to the display panel.

Accidentally that hidden/removed the base Panel (the one with the shadows, made highlights, contrast, exposure) to develop module. I was clicking on the exposure slider when my mouse slipped and I clicked on something. How to do back panel?
Make a right-click on any other Panel name develop. In the menu that appears, put a check mark next to the base.

Anyone has an idea why so many users lose the base Panel? This issue seems to happen at least on a daily basis.
CTRL + / 1 (Windows) Cmd/1 (Mac). Or, right-click on one of the other headers as tone curve Panel and make you that there is a checkmark in the desired base as well as any other panels appears.

The base Panel disappeared from the LR development module
The base Panel disappeared from the develop Module. I've been processing photos. When I went to a new photo to treat, the Panedl base disappeared.
Any help on recovering it.
Janice T.
Weird, you need to register, you should be able to view the content as a guest.
No matter, simply right-click on one of the other Panel headers and select the base Panel from the list that appears.
Or go to window > panels > select Basic
Or do Ctrl + 1 (Cmd + 1 on a Mac).

Cannot find the BASE Panel for editing photos.
I use LR5. Somehow my BASE Panel has disappeared in the DEVELOP module. The only way I can now make the adjustments of brightness, etc. is using the tone curve. How can I get my rear BASE Panel?
Thank you
Right-click on one of the other panel topics, for example of tone curve. Make sure that there is a check mark in all the sections you want to display. It is a problem that took a number, but it's easy to fix.

Develop - base Panel still shows tools LR3
I just installed upgrading LR4 on my Mac. the installation seems to complete without problem. The new card modules and the book are implemented as planned.
However, the development - basic Panel still shows the old tools of LR3. For example, exposure and brightness are still there, but the dark and light tones are not. I did something wrong?
Make sure that the image/s you are looking at is PV2012 (i.e. newly imported and previously unedited). If Lr4 does not appear the following settings in the base Panel, then it is likely that the image/s has been imported/adjusted in Lr3:
Exhibition
Contrast
Highlights
Shadows
White
Black
