• Illustrator CC 2014 supports 16-bit color?

  I am trying to create an image to grayscale using RGB.  The RGB components can go up to 255.  Illustrator supports 16-bit color I have a range of 0-65535?  I could not find this information in the documentation.  A range of 0-255 is not enough for me.

  No, it does not support 16-bit. You can try to put a 16-bit psd, and you will get a message that it will only import a version of 8-bit image because Illustrator doesn't support 16-bit images.

  I recently bought a Cintiq 27qhd and connected to my iMac 21 "mid-2011. It looks wonderful, however, there are still some bands present. I know that this screen Cintiq is able to show billions of colors and yesterday that I have updated to El Captain because I heard that it supports Deep Color / 10 cintiq little, but even after update runs under 32-bit instead of 30.

  Is it possible to fix this? If this isn't the case, then be iMac 4K allow color 30 bits on my Cintiq?

  One question. When I open a PCoIP session, my display configuration tab does not appear, sometimes, when it appears, I can't seem to change the bit depth of 16 bit, it change to 32-bit when I applied the change.

  What I can do this on the Protocol PCoIP? Why configuration tab appear sometimes and not another?

  PCoIP only support 32 - bit color, when you install the agent view it will change the 32-bit color setting and not allow it to be changed.

  In lightroom under file > export, you should be able to export your 8-bit files.

• Satellite Pro P100-327 screen color depth/quality problem

  Hi guys, my first post! Had my Tosh for 3 years now. I now have a problem with the display. It seems that the color depth is really down or something... as I stumble on the 8-bit color depth. Everything seems strongly Posterization in the graphical sense.

  I uninstalled the video drivers and reinstalled a new, former, a version of toshiba, a version of the nvidia driver and all have no effect on the problem. No joy!

  I went through and checked all the settings of resolution and color depth, and trawled through the many pages of settings nvidia and played with all the reasonable parameters to find the problem. No change. All reset to how I found it.

  I've been reading through the forums and not really found something specific. If I missed it, then I would a link here slapped on my face to show how incompetent I am! ;)

  I will however try to disconnect the battery and the power for an hour and turn it on again later as this seems to be the standard solution or must try for everything. What do this exactly? Reset of the BIOS/CMOS etc?

  I recently bought an ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card to the address used (Apple model #-MB999ZM/A) to install in my Mac Pro early 2008. This card was originally proposed by Apple as an upgrade to the previous Mac Pros. The card has a mini display port (and a DVI - D port). I'm under El Capitan on my Mac Pro. I have a NEC PA 302W monitor capable of 10-bit color. Can someone tell me if the ATI HD 4870 card supports 10-bit color to my monitor? I was encouraged to learn the Forum that pilots (and I hope that their updates) for graphics cards supported are automatically included in the Mac OS. I'd appreciate any help that anyone can give me.   Apple has changed that in El Capitan. According to Mac and I, Apple has confirmed that the new 5 K and 4 K iMac (as well as the iMac 2014 5 K) supported a pilot chart 10-bit that has been activated with the release of El Capitan.

  First of all, apparently it only works on the 4K & 5 K 2015 iMac & iMac 5 K 2014 now.
  [UPDATE]: a cinema5D reader reported that he got 10 bits on a Mac Pro with D500 graphics and monitor Eizo CS230.

  Also, currently it only works in preview and photo applications. If you want to test, you can take a photo RAW 12 bit with gradations of soft color and take a look.   Actually Yes, Geforce cards can produce 10-bit color via HDMi and displayport. However they are supported only with applications that use DirectX for the API. Support 10-bit color Quadro via Open GL. Adobe uses Open GL, so you would need a Quadro card for 10-bit with Adobe on video cards. However, you can get a map of IO as a card Aja or Blackmagic card and get 10 bit color overview this way which is what I would say since these that a gross result of enforcement and the color space is not performed by the operating system or the video driver.

  Yes.   PSE can change the time 8 bit-by-color files and 16-bits-per-color. Many scanners produce 10 bits/color (30 bits per pixel), which get stored in 16 bit/color (48 bits per pixel).

  Note that a number of commands in the PES editor does not work on 16 bit images.  In general, commands that manipulate the entire image (for example, levels, brightness/contrast, most of the filters) work on images 16 bits, whereas commands for manipulating individual pixels and selections (including diapers) only works on 8-bit images.

  In LR when I rt - click in the image area, a menu will appear. I choose export, then Photoshop 2014.  I said "Edit with Lightroom adjustments.  When the image appears in Photoshop it indeed that adjustments, but the depth of color is still 32-bit.   Lightroom supports 8 bits per channel (24 bit color) and 16-bit per channel (48 bit color). However, it has no support for scanning. Therefore, you will need to scan your images using the software provided with the scanner or a third party alternative, then import images into Lightroom.

  I'm an artist.  I have high quality TIFF images.  When I convert TIFF to jpeg it make me color 8-bit automatically. (Forget about 32 bit - it does not in jpeg format that at all)   The only way that I can return to the 16-bit color is to use the already broken file and bring it up to 16 bits.  IT makes NO sense at all.  Once the jpeg format is broken, how is the world supposed to convert back to the top. ??  So even though it says that you have converted the 16 - bit file, metadata is always about the 8-bit file.

  First jpeg is 8-bit only it there's no way to register as a 16 or 32-bit jpg, just does not exist. Secondly people print in 8 bit all the time and most if not all web graphics are 8-bit because this is the only way to see because there is no 32-bit or 16-bit monitors to see. All pro monitors are 8-bit monitors.

  If you like on the color range and want the range of colors that provide 16 and 32 bit, so why jpg? Jpg by his own nature throws of color just to compress, why it is popular on the web, because of its small file size not its quality. If you need 16 or 32-bit for what it is, it must be in a format that supports this color depth.

  That being said, that a jpg to 8 bit image displays 16 million colors, 256 shades of red, 256 shades of green and 256 shades of blue.

  Now, here's where I think your information bit is disabled. a jpg image is a 24-bit image that will produce 8-bit red, 8-bit, 8 bits of blue and green.

  8, 16 and 32 channel are not total not the color information.

  If the overall picture was of 8 bits, the image would be gayscale.

  You have an entry in the Invoke node called Image depth.  You wired a 8 for her.  Why?  Doesn't mean that you capture an image at a depth of only 8-bit rather weak image?
