PSE8 color depth

Can PSE8 edit and save files with 30-bit color depth?

Yes.   PSE can change the time 8 bit-by-color files and 16-bits-per-color. Many scanners produce 10 bits/color (30 bits per pixel), which get stored in 16 bit/color (48 bits per pixel).

Note that a number of commands in the PES editor does not work on 16 bit images.  In general, commands that manipulate the entire image (for example, levels, brightness/contrast, most of the filters) work on images 16 bits, whereas commands for manipulating individual pixels and selections (including diapers) only works on 8-bit images.

Hi guys, my first post! Had my Tosh for 3 years now. I now have a problem with the display. It seems that the color depth is really down or something... as I stumble on the 8-bit color depth. Everything seems strongly Posterization in the graphical sense.

I uninstalled the video drivers and reinstalled a new, former, a version of toshiba, a version of the nvidia driver and all have no effect on the problem. No joy!

I went through and checked all the settings of resolution and color depth, and trawled through the many pages of settings nvidia and played with all the reasonable parameters to find the problem. No change. All reset to how I found it.

I've been reading through the forums and not really found something specific. If I missed it, then I would a link here slapped on my face to show how incompetent I am! ;)

I will however try to disconnect the battery and the power for an hour and turn it on again later as this seems to be the standard solution or must try for everything. What do this exactly? Reset of the BIOS/CMOS etc?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Windows will not update the screen resolution and the color depth

Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

I even try to restart my computer and a bubble appears downstairs offering reset the color depth and resolution to my automatically.  When I click, it appears as if he's trying to return to normal, but again once nothing happens - the colors and the screen resolution is still at the lowest setting.

Can any ideas on how I fix?

    Hello

Here are some things to try to fix it.

    Change the screen resolution.

"How the resolution screen on Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Videocards/HT/screenres.htm

You can also right-click on an empty desktop > properties > settings > it the slider bar allows you to increase the resolution > Apply > OK > agree in the next window, etc.

If that fixed it, have damaged you graphic drivers.

Access the site on your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > look for a driver download Section > search for your model number and operating system > get graphics / video / Chipset Drivers (depending on how it is formulated) > download and install.

    Change the screen resolution.

You can also try a system restore before all these problems started:

  • How to save a picture of object front panel with the color depth?

When I use the Invoke node method to get the image of an object to front panel, then save it as a bmp or png, I seem to lose the color depth. What should I do to register programmatically façade objects with the same number of colors as they appear on the screen?

    I'm using LabView 2011 11.0

You have an entry in the Invoke node called Image depth.  You wired a 8 for her.  Why?  Doesn't mean that you capture an image at a depth of only 8-bit rather weak image?

  • Problems with the Speedgrade color depth

    Hello everyone!

As said in the title I have problems with the number of colors in Adobe Speedgrade.

I would like to color - correct images my drone DJI using LUTs and, of course, build-in Speedgrade tools.

Unfortunately, the use of the LUTs makes video appearance as there are not enough color-depth because you can see the bands in gradients (especially in the sky).

I hope you can see the problem in the following screenshot.

Scratches appear in Speedgrade preview, as well as in video rendering.

So what can I do to avoid this scratches?

    Thank you in advance!

    Greetings

    Raphael

    Screenshot.jpg

I have not bought any of the first LUT game I bought... 4 years back, now. Wow, how time flies...

    Why?

Because I had problems with excerpts from tapes and rarely found one I liked "such what ', so I got to work the clip after you apply the LUT as much as if I started from scratch. So why pay for the dang thing?

I found it a good common sense many people in publishing & work of colorist, there is a certain tech LUT can really be able to use, but those who are mainly for the spendy 'pro' movie, Reds, Arris and other cameras. For a film DSLR & drone, making its own tends to work MUCH better.

And it is easy within the Sg.

Take this clip... watch your litters, first. Move the slider Temp for the position that balances the red & blue tops, cursor Magenta to balance the red & green tops... then left offset slider far a channel can be a little below '0', 0 to sentence above and one a little higher... then with keyboard and mouse or a simple trackball, move the color slider controls rather than wheels "unlock" the trio Offset, match the bottom just above 0, reset the summits if necessary and then return to wheels.

Move the controls in Gamma Luma needed to feel 'brightness', and you have a a neutralized clip. Shouldn't take more than 20 seconds to do the above, if that.

Now using color wheels, started working for a 'vision' and of course use secondary as necessary to adjust certain colors/colours/brightness and maybe go to controls Shadow & Highlight to get finer control of two Luma and chroma on the edges... in general, it is best to bring the ends of the scale to neutral even with a look hot or cold for most of the signal.

Get something you like and can be used for a large number of your clips, save it as an eye. You can just quickly apply to any other work.

You want to use in PrPro? Easy... with the right button on the Look to the Sg, choose 'Export', and you get to the options... except that say a Cube of however many points you want to and tell him where to save it. I found that with my GH3, sometimes with work in the open air with a sky bright-ish with the Sun around but just outside of an edge banding is quite possible... and 'hand-kitchen' these clips or using a Cube 64 - point is necessary.

  • Nesting affect the BRUTE of a clip color depth?

Basically, the scenario is: I have a clip I shot in RAW at 60 fps and am nesting to change the playback speed and apply the stabilizer of the chain. If I color correction after the clip of nesting, first read the clip nested as a new clip without the gross color depth? I don't know I explain my question well enough, but I hope you get the picture.

    Thanks in advance!

Short answer, no.  You good to go.

  • Lightroom 6 supports 10-bit color depth?

    I am a user of Lightroom 5.7.

I know version 6 introduced the gpu acceleration, but the 10-bit color depth has been introduced through openCL?

No 6 LR does not support monitors 10bits AFAIK. Lightroom performs all the calculations in 16-bit precision, but for display on a screen, the images are always reduced to 8-bit.

  • Is there an event when the model color depth/pixel format is changed?

Is there a way I can detect the change in depth of color in a composition?
I know that I can react differently by calling PF_GetPixelFormat() on render for the format/bit depth of current, but I was wondering if there is a way to detect and react to the event when a user changes the number of colors in the publication manual?
Basically, what I want to do is hide/change settings in the ECW according to the bit depth.

    Any help appreciated :-)

You can use PF_UpdateParamUI during the call to render to force AE to refresh the user interface.

You can also hide/show params at any time using AEGP_SetDynamicStreamFlag and AEGP_DynStreamFlag_HIDDEN.

  • 10-bit color depth / 30-bit on old iMac?

I recently bought a Cintiq 27qhd and connected to my iMac 21 "mid-2011. It looks wonderful, however, there are still some bands present. I know that this screen Cintiq is able to show billions of colors and yesterday that I have updated to El Captain because I heard that it supports Deep Color / 10 cintiq little, but even after update runs under 32-bit instead of 30.

Is it possible to fix this? If this isn't the case, then be iMac 4K allow color 30 bits on my Cintiq?

Moreover, my GPU is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6770 and I don't know if it takes Deep Color supported or not, since I did not google try it:.

    Hey there tinangelnyo,

Congratulations on the new Cintiq 27qhd. The iMac has almost infinite creative design 3rd party accessories. In reviewing your question, it would be certainly a lot if you could use the 32 bit version or -30. Given the nature of this question, the best resource will be the developers of your Cintiq. They have a wide range of supported features which can be found here:

  • How to reduce the depth of color and select a predefined palette?

    Hello

I'm a Paint Shop Pro previous user who is now trying to transition to the CC in PhotoShop (version 2015.0.0).

For one of my typical tasks, I export a bitmap (bmp) of AutoCAD.  My AutoCAD drawing really doesn't have many different colors, but the exported bitmap turns out to have a depth of 24-bit color.  Paint Shop Pro has given me the opportunity not only to reduce the color depth of 8 bits, but it gave me the ability to load a "palette" which contained only the exact colors I wanted (which are really just what I considered grey, black, yellow, green, red, cyan and white 'standard').

When I loaded this 'pallet', all the colors of the original bitmap that does not exactly match one of the colors in the palette is converted to "closest match" in the palette.

The reason I do this is because my next step is to import the bitmap into another application that has some limitations that make the color depth higher all unwanted color "atypical" for what I am trying to accomplish.

If someone can tell me if / how I can do this in PhotoShop, I would be very happy.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

You can use the color of the Index. You can set the table of colors that you want to use, and have PS convert the colors in the closest values.

  • Best practices for the selection of the color XP discovers PCoIP 4.5 depth

XP SP3 with clients see 4.5 PCoIP P20

Customer card P20: color depth: 8, 15, 16, or 24 bits per pixel.

The desktop bit depth is set to 32-bit. I think we usually actually get the 32-bit color depth, so it would make sense to force the system to 24 bits?

(Maximum setting of forcing) to reduce the number of bits save bandwidth and improve performance?

If you have found this helpful at all prices please points using the correct or useful! Thank you!

Reduce the color depth will decrease the bandwidth. However, I don't think this'll serious between 24 and 32-bit as if the customer can not read that high color depth it probably isn't sending the bits, I'm not positive on this much, to do and to see what is happening.  I am convinced that the change from 32 to 16 would be like the P20 can do 24, reducing to 16 means less bits sent.  BTW, there are plenty of ways to reduce the bandwidth on a zero client, start tweaking all the parameters bandwidth.
