Lightroom 6 verrrrrry slow

Are there known issues with Lightroom 6 performance?

I have the standalone version and it's so incredibly slow, it's unusable. Import pictures from a card, for example, it takes minutes for the first show of the picture library in the window 'import '.

Similar major slugishness in general.

Issue does not appear to be the performance of the computer (Macbook Pro 2010) - Lightroom 5 always works well at normal speeds.

As you are always faced with the question, I suggest you to roll back 6.2.1 Lightroom at Lightroom 6.1.1

  • Lightroom CC becomes slow after several cultures

Several times a year, I regularly harvest/turn to 2000 images. Recently, more I harvest, slowly my PC is getting to the point where it has continuous CPU and hard drive activity and harvest becomes jerky and unresponsive. The only solution is to restart Lightroom, and right now, it's like lightning once again, until maybe 50 cultures then it becomes slower and slower. Does anyone have any suggestions. The only thing I can think of what changed between her looking thin and have these problems is an upgrade to Windows 10. I'd be happy to pay for a better graphics card if it can make a difference

  • Lightroom works very slow all of a sudden

I searched and read all the forums on the optimization of the performance of Lightroom (How to improve and accelerate the performance of Photoshop Lightroom) and have watched many videos with tips on improving the performance on YouTube and have not yet found a solution.

Question: After a few months of using Lightroom, it suddenly became unusably slow. It was not a demonstration of deliberate for its slow over time. Instead, one day it was usable, and the next day he was not. Even in the library module it lags to switch between images. When I press F for full screen, where it was instantaneous and now takes about 10 seconds and is then stuck in fullscreen. This is true for the large images and old photos of iPhone even in low resolution. Can import is no longer the same wait more than a minute between clicks.

    On my computer

    • 2015 Macbook Pro (a few months)
    • OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 running
    • Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHz
    • Memory - 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
    • Graphics - Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB
    • Hard total is 120 GB
    • Drive hard use 96 GB of the - 47 in photos and approximately 22 GB in "others" which I suppose is a majority of the Lightroom data
    • I almost exclusively use this machine for browsing the web and photography. Nothing else. very few other programs and file type

    On my Lightroom

    • Lightroom CC
    • 2015.2.1 release
    • 5 864 total photos on the computer and my main Lightroom Catalog
    • Only about 60 have changed considerably in the develop module
    • Majority taken on a JPEG of A6000 Sony 24MP camera

What I tried to solve the problems, does not

    1. Read a lot on the size of the catalog. Mine is still quite small, but I've tried closing the catalog and begin a new one with about 200 shots straight out of the camera. This has not solved the problem.
    2. Optimized catalog
    3. Preferences changed to automatically reject 1:1 previews after a day.
    4. Top left says nothing about the rendering preview. This along with the fact that the issue has been sudden leads me to believe that "Preview size" are not the issue, but I could be wrong.
    5. I tried to move all my photos on an external hard drive fast - catalog file was still on my computer, but I had a lot more space on the machine. This has not solved the problem
    6. I turned off of face detection, because he had tried to distinguish faces
    7. Increased raw cache size of camera

Lightroom isi the only app I had problems with. Everything else is zippy and smooth. Help, please!

The first suggestion would be to upgrade your Lightroom to the latest version 2015.3. Select Help<>.

  • 5.7 Lightroom runs extremely slow

I'm obliged to use Lightroom daily so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Safari, Final Cut Pro and other programs are well-oiled.  I deleted a large number of photos in Lightroom thinking that was the problem, but it still works very slow, especially after doing extensive work on a photo (like taking stray hairs in a portrait), he became very slow.

Like I said, any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

  • My Lightroom CC suddenly slowed down dramatically? is this due to the new Mac OS or LR was last updated?

  • Cursors in the development in the latest Lightroom module are slow to respond

I've updated to the latest Lightroom and my problem is not as bad as some. However, it's boring.

When I click on a slider to move it, the response is slow, and sometimes I have to click it a second time to get attached to my cursor so that I can move it.

The other problems that people seem to have is caused by the graphics processor. But here, I have a Quadro graphics card and whether or not the gpu is enabled or not makes no difference.

I have a lot of memory and eight processor so I don't really think there is a problem with my pc. Any ideas?

    Hello

The version of Lightroom is that I downloaded yesterday. Howevr I just uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom and now everything seems in good condition. The sliders are responds ok. Thank you

  • What Lightroom publish services slow on my desktop?

I installed Lightroom 4.1 on my desktop and laptop computer. It works fine on the laptop, but on the desktop, it becomes very slow if I develop publishing services. I opened the catalog even on two computers, is not a problem with the catalogue. The desktop computer is faster and has a better network connection and plenty of RAM. Always expand publishing makes the UI too slow to be useful, sometimes even freezes the software.

  • Camera Raw 6.0 (and Lightroom 3) extra slow, what's happening?

    Hello

I have a very annoying problem with VC 6.0 and LR 3, which is a very slow responsiveness in previews of the photo.

A month ago, I was using Windows XP 32-bit SP3 on my machine (Intel Core Duo Q6600 (4x2.57Ghz hearts) - 4 GB of RAM). I had Photoshop CS4 with Camera Raw 5.x and Lightroom 2. Everything was very good.

Then I moved to Windows Seven 64-bit and CS5 with CR 6 and 3 LR.

Now, I have exactly the same problem that I had before buying my current 4 PC kernel, which is:

in Camera Raw, even the left side of scrolling thumbnails is extremely slow (rendeing of thumbnails of images), and appying the slightest change of a slider (even basic) takes about a second and sometimes two seconds to be applied to the preview of the image. Pretty painful to use!

It goes same for adjustments and thumbnails in LR 3.

It's the behavior even with Canon EOS 300 d, RAW files that are only 6 Megapixels!

I tried to get back into LR2 and CS4 to check yet, but well, seems quite surprising because LR3 was supposed to be much faster and responsive.

As this is a clean install, I have the last set of video drivers (it is an ATI Radeon X 4800).

Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this?

    Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, what was so terribly detrimental reponsiveness in ACR 6.0?

And, Lightroom uses the same internal plugin 8bi file to process or do I have you updated to Lightroom separately to return the responsiveness?

I don't know what they were doing, but I guess that they rewrite of the code that deals with some of the new process of calculations and preview, to be more efficient processor.

Lightroom uses not the plugin, as I know. I guess that would need a separate update. I didn't. You could tell us if it is a faster.

  • Why 6 Lightroom runs so slow MAC Book Pro (2013)

    Hello

I am a photographer and using my MacBook Pro retina 13 "mainly for image editing. For years, I use Adobe Lightroom and the CC/6 version now. I was looking for solutions, and I am also in contact with Adobe. But unfortunately I couldn't solve the problem yet. I wonder if I got a problem with my Mac.

LR it turns very slowly - especially in the mode to develop. Once I use the local adjustments and more then 3 I can't forget all the work. Takes like 10-30 s just to move the brush for example. The catalog is fairly stable. I always get 1:1 previews loaded - CPU is almost 0% before I start working. Sometimes get up to 350% and all fans are running at max after 5 Min.

    Here is my setup:

    «Retina of MacBook Pro 13 «»

    3 GHz Intel Core i7

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB (unfortunately not supported by Adobe)

That's what I already disabled. LR and El Capitan are updated to the latest version.

    -> Face detection

    -> Address search

    -> Writing automated metadata

    -> Acceleration graphics processor

--> The map open when import window is detected

Any help much appreciated. Most of the other software just works very well. Final Cut Pro X - for example, works smoothly and nicely. Photoshop both CC, Pages, Safari etc... No problem - just Lightroom...

    Greetings from the Brazil

Where is your library? I had speed issues until I move the entire library on an external drive that is used for anything else.

  • Lightroom lag and slow in windows 10

So the question, my client an avid user of Apple on my notice had him build a system customized for him based me on windows 10 64 with my recommendations for the material. As is now his Apple 'almost' runs circles around the new generation (but slower), and he edited RAW photos at high resolution and in batches etc etc... not really my Bailiwick if you want. I'm a hardware guy. That said we had any other problems with LR and yes there CC and all that and an account pays a lot of money for this, real estate does shoots and on average 300 photos of the all-day process every day. We have tried different settings, scratch the disc etc. to ratchet the cache etc but when it hits batch edit..tic toc toc tic... Here's the exact specifications:

Now that in the heck are we doing wrong? his internet is low 150 MB and 25 upwards on a bad day. It is a period of single-purpose machine. Today for troubleshooting I uninstalled all Asus crud etc, the suite of Nvidia etc.. Now it's back to stability, but the slow as snot, but as I watched him via team Viewer, it was slow, I logged out of Team Viewer and his aircraft crashed again, that might be just a little problem because of remote viewing. All the current updates are installed and no real big flags in the event viewer, normal things microsnot. I'm open to any idea period. Thank you people. Mac

    OK, I suggest three discs:

    1. keep the app on the internal ssd

    2. get another drive to keep the catalog and the previews on

3 - a third disk for image files

Disk access is important in order to have the components separated does help...
