Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

my computer is in courses run extremelly slow I ran my antivirus couple moments but did not find anything either, but it keeps telling me that I use high CPU, even when I just open internet explore.  can you guys help me please?

    Internet Explorer

To improve performance for IE, you can reset internet Explorer to the factory settings. This will disable memory addons chewing and bar tools, etc. that you've installed over time.

In Internet Explorer click on Tools in the bar and then Internet Optionscommand. Go to the Advanced tab, and then click the Reset button.

Or disable/remove specific ones, in Internet Explorer click on Tools for button on the command bar - Manage the Addons - enable or disable Addons - select the addin - Remove or disable the button.

    Other memory hogs

You probably many useless auto startup programs. You can disable these programs.

Click Start - all programs - Accessories - run and type

    msconfig

Then go to the Startup tab uncheck the things you don't need.

Use the command line column to find info on the file, if it does not use display menu - Select the columnsdisplay. Use the name of the folder that contains the file and right click - Properties - Details tab to see what it is.

    Explorer

Explorer (explorer.exe) is the program that is the start menu and taskbar, windows folder and the office (which is a folder window).

The Explorer is built on addin programs called Extensions of Shell. The standard is provided by Microsoft, but programs add their own.

    • Close the windows explore
    • Start Autoruns by right-clicking and choose Run as administrator
    • Click on the Options menu - entries and Filter Options to hide Microsoft tick and clear to understand empty slots
    • Go to the explore tab and uncheck everything to the left.
    • Reset
    Start - Help and Support

    Start disk cleanup

To free up space on your hard disk, search disk cleanup and then removes temporary files on your computer that you decide that you no longer need.

If you have more than one drive or partition on your computer, you will be asked to choose which drive you want Disk Cleanup to clean.

    Click to open Disk Cleanup.

    Note
    • Here's another way to open Disk Cleanup: click on the Start button. In the search box, type and then disk cleanup in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.

    Other things to try

With disk cleanup displays above the Other Options tab. You can delete all but the last System Restore point and see if that is too much space.

System Restore uses 15% of the space normally. Change click Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type Regedit and navigate to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore\cfg

Double click on DiskPercent and click on decimal and change the value to the desired percentage,

Delete files in the system Temp folder

Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    To the list

    dir c:\windows\temp/a/s

    To remove

    del c:\windows\temp\*.*/s/f/q

Check the size of the swap file

As a rule generally you want to your swap file slightly larger than the amount of memory that you have. It develops automatically but spread automatically. If you use hungery memory programs as this video editing should be bigger. If too big you can reduce and rush of space can be moved to another drive.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    dir /a c:\pagefile.sys

To modify or change drive see change the size of virtual memory in Start - Help and Support.

  • My new Satellite C50D-138 runs really slow

Just above for laptop and really disappointed that it is so slow. I did not put new software on it but just loading internet is a real drag. I need only to basic internet surfing and create word documents so do not have a high performance computer, but it takes all 30 sec - 1 min to load a Web page. Is this normal?
See the full specifications below. Thank you very much.

    LAPTOP TOSHIBA SATELLITE C50D-138, AMD E1-2100, 2 GB, 500 GB, WINDOWS 8.1, 15.6 "
Toshiba C50D-138 is ideal for computer daily or basic use, with E1-1200 AMD Dual Core processor and 2 GB of memory.

The 500 GB hard drive also lets that you space to save all your pictures, music and files.

Enjoy your favorite movies on your built-in DVD player and talk via Skype through the webcam and built-in microphone.

Bluetooth 4.0 is installed so as to have the option of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 to transfer data.

The black chassis has a textured finish that allows to eliminate the traces of finger and gives a classic look.

A lot of people on this forum topic reports similar. You must understand that for laptop with factory settings is not optimized, and each of us must make own configuration of operating system.
For example, new notebook will do the automatic updates of Windows. With other words when Windows detects new updates it will download and installed in the background and that you know something like this running in the background. This will slow down the activity internet and laptop performance quickly.

I recommend to install all Windows updates and change the settings in Control Panel > windows update > change settings. Use the option check the updates but let me choose... in the future you will be informed of the updates, but you can install them when you don't need machine for your work.

    Test it please

  • Why 6 Lightroom runs so slow MAC Book Pro (2013)

    Hello

I am a photographer and using my MacBook Pro retina 13 "mainly for image editing. For years, I use Adobe Lightroom and the CC/6 version now. I was looking for solutions, and I am also in contact with Adobe. But unfortunately I couldn't solve the problem yet. I wonder if I got a problem with my Mac.

LR it turns very slowly - especially in the mode to develop. Once I use the local adjustments and more then 3 I can't forget all the work. Takes like 10-30 s just to move the brush for example. The catalog is fairly stable. I always get 1:1 previews loaded - CPU is almost 0% before I start working. Sometimes get up to 350% and all fans are running at max after 5 Min.

    Here is my setup:

    «Retina of MacBook Pro 13 «»

    3 GHz Intel Core i7

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB (unfortunately not supported by Adobe)

That's what I already disabled. LR and El Capitan are updated to the latest version.

Any help much appreciated. Most of the other software just works very well. Final Cut Pro X - for example, works smoothly and nicely. Photoshop both CC, Pages, Safari etc... No problem - just Lightroom...

    Greetings from the Brazil

Where is your library? I had speed issues until I move the entire library on an external drive that is used for anything else.

  • 5.7 Lightroom runs extremely slow

I'm obliged to use Lightroom daily so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Safari, Final Cut Pro and other programs are well-oiled.  I deleted a large number of photos in Lightroom thinking that was the problem, but it still works very slow, especially after doing extensive work on a photo (like taking stray hairs in a portrait), he became very slow.

Like I said, any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

  • someone like putting a password admin on my laptop and now I can not derfrag or something its running really slow I don't know the admin password

someone like said a password admin on my computer I can't defragment or something, I really like the factory restore, but it won't let me not I do not know the password

    Hello johnwheldon,

You have all other administrator accounts you log on?  If you want to restore your system back to factory settings, you will need to start in your boot options.  In general, each brand has different ways of access to this.  I suggest you look at your owner's manual or by visiting the manufacturer's website.

    I hope this helps.

  • my PC runs really slow

    My system is as follows:

    1. PC - Fujitsu Esprimo E
    2. Operating system:-Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600
    3. (Vivid RAM) memory:-512 MB
    4. Processor: - AMD Sempron (TM) Processor 3200 + - Version x 86 family 15 model 2 Stepping 95 - 1801 MHz speed

My programs and tracks of internet connection slow - my provider is Virgin (optical fiber).

    Any help please.

    Peter PDS

    You have relatively slow hardware.

512 MB of RAM is poor, install the kit of 2 GB of Crucial as here. 2 GB, it's more a sweet spot for XP, 512 MB (0.5 GB) is practically bare minimum.
How old is the PC? You also have the XP disc provided with your system?
A clean install with the latest Service Packs and drivers then installed next to a RAM upgrade may do wonders. Moreover, this software you special help for security?
A pure out with CCleaner and Defraggler can help too. These tools must be used regularly. Download these and other useful software can be found here.
  • Script running really slow

I need VM name host Cluster and the operating system, so I fiddled with it. Works but is slower than slow. What can I change to speed it up some?

    Get - VM | Select Name,@{N="ESX host"; {E = {Get-VMHost - VM $_}}, @{N = "Cluster name"; {E = {Get-Cluster - VM $_}}, @{N = 'Operating System'; E={$_. ExtensionData.Guest.guestFullName}} | Export-Csv C:\REPORTS\MYREPORT. CSV

The cmdlet Get-view gives you direct access to the methods and properties of the object of vSphere (such as documented in QAnywhere

Given that the cmdlet does not have the charge to build the .net objects, it tends to be much faster (especially in larger environments).

The error you mention don't ring a Bell.

Could it be that something was wrong in the copy of the script in the Web page?

I'll attach the script as a file to be excluded from this potential problem

  • InDesign Cs6 running really slow!

I edit, create and produce manuals for a company that gave me training on Indesign! I use Indesing Cs6 Manual of already produced edition and slowly started to create my own. The company has an external company, who had started working on a new project until I'm relevant. They use Indesign CC, the guy also creates books in book form. He sends me the files and a file IDML which allows me to convert what he sent in the version of Indesign (CS6) that I use. Everything is perfect!

As I begin to edit these newly produced manuals I have problems with the program... It turns very slowly especially when typing or importing images.

I move the files from the server to the external company has access too.

Put it on the server I work for.

Open my Office Cs6 and create a book

I then save the book in the same folder on the server, I moved the files too

I open all IDML files individually and then save it in the same folder as an Indesign Cs6 file.

I then open the book and add the necessary files in the book.

    Can I save.

They are the steps I take before I start editing the files, with open book, I tend to change the sections individually, unless I'm updating of the cross - references.

I'm not sure if there is something I am doing wrong or if there is a certain set/format should I change. I'm not very computer Tech companys guy seems to think that this is an error with the program rather than my computer as he checked and inserted also more memory.

    HELP PLEASE!

Do a save pennies on each of the files to erase old data from change. If there is between documents cross-reference ID open constantly files and close them while you work unless you keep all the files in the book open again.

  • my laptop is really slow with lightroom.

my laptop is really slow with lightroom. How can I speed it up? Help

I have a Dell Corei7 under windows 7 with 8 GB of Ram. Lightroom using 2530 MB of real memory.

The fan works like crazy and the top of the Tower full gets also rather ward.

No solution outside the upgrade of the laptop?

Make sure that you have not distinguish faces on everything. Next to your name (or logo of Lightroom) in the upper left corner, there is a small triangle. Click on it and make sure that face detection is paused. Also, try turning graphics acceleration card off in the preferences-> help to run. Intuitively he saw wearing tends to slow down a lot of machines.

That said, don't realize that Lightroom is not a lightweight program and fans running on laptops is quite common if you do a lot of heavy editing, or when export you a large number of images (or generate previews on them)

  • Satellite Pro 2100 is really really slow running

    I have a satellite pro 2100 I killed a friend.
He said his brother gave him and that he had no idea what was wrong because he didn't have a chance to watch it.

I put windows xp pro top and used the bottom of the laptop pro license key.

but the laptop is really really slow.
It may take up to 5 minutes for nothing I click to open up.

the strange thing is the laptop works fine in safe mode, can open things like I should.

but in normal windows mode, it slows down to a crawl and even crashes.

I have trie all to my knowledge.
I even uninstalled and turn off the graphics drive that I thought that he maybe, but he always does.

I tried multiple copies different from xp pro and even tried a copy of vista, but still the same.

He had 2 different lots of tried in ram, 2 sticks was new aswel. I tried 3 different hard drives and still the same.

My thoughts are that the integrated graphics card is exhausted.

can anyone else confirm this? Certainly this isn't a software issue because I tried a few different copies of xp and vista. IM about to bin it now.

    > anyone can confirm this?
Don t think someone could confirm everything that is related to a malfunction of the equipment.
Here in the forum, we can talk about problems and makers of disorders, but no one will be able to say with certainty what's going wrong here.

First laptop computer is an oldie.
The Mobile Intel Pentium 4 CPU, isn t a up to date CPU and in my opinion, that don't expect too much performance.

I put t know how this camera supports memory but everything below 1 GB of Ram would be good enough to the smooth running of the laptop.

However, given that the unit works much faster saving mode, I guess there must be a hardware related problem.

FCP is really slow.  No background running task.  Ideas?

It would be great if you could give us some details about your system (OS and hardware... you are really under Leopard?), your version of Final Cut, where you store your media, free how much space you have available on all your storage devices, the type of media you use in your projects.

Also, what have you tried so far correct things?

    Thank you.

  • its really slow gains. I want to run faster and be more afficent

its really slow connection... It's just not as fast on foot beds like he used to be.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner but note that cCleaner will not manage system restore points. Remove the old restore points can be important if you have little free disk space. cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.
