Lightroom CC crashes computer when it addresses RAID
My Macintosh Mac Pro starts from a disc SSD PCIE, and all my apps are on this drive. All my photos are on a RAID5 installed four HD in the four drive bays in the Mac Pro. Since Yosemite OS 10.10.4, everytime I try to open some photos or import scanned to this RAID, new Lightroom crashes my computer. I can access my photos through Finder without problem. Therefore, the conflict seems to be between Lightroom and the RAID. If anyone has heard of this problem, please let me know.
If it locks the computer, it's a hardware malfunction or a driver out-of-day/corrupted somewhere. If you try to import or edit photos in Lightroom, when the problem occurs, it can mean that you have defective memory chips, or maybe a faulty fan, or there is a network incompatibility.

I got 5 Adobe Lightroom on my computer and it crashed so is there a way to get back on my new computer?
You install programs exactly in the same way you did the 1st time... Put your disc in the drive, and enter your serial number when asked
.
Download & install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339 can help
-includes a way to go to a page to download the Adobe programs if you do not have a disk or drive
-Cloud desktop http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-desktop.html
-Cloud Getting Started https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud.html
-you will need to enter your original serial number during the installation for non-Cloud programs
- or kglad links in response to #1 here can help https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2081216

Lightroom CC crashes when opening preferences (Windows 10)
2015.5 CC Lightroom started crashing when I try to open the preferences. Ideas?
Thank you
John
Thanks John. The back of the trace is very useful.
In this case, Lightroom attempts to retrieve the path of the file system to the "My pictures" folder that is associated with your account on your computer local Windows and somehow he failed and could not retrieve the path.
Is there something unique about your installation? After doing some googling, I found this missing repair Windows 7 user records | Scottie Tech.Info that may be useful.

Lightroom CC crashes when you select Preferences in the Menu Edition
I tried several installs clean with Lightroom CC and you have tried everything as the date of signing in and out of the clouds creative to change the format of numbers under regional settings in Control Panel.
Lightroom still crashes when I try to select Preferences. Everything seems to work perfectly.
Does anyone else have this problem on a Windows 7 PC? Please help, out of my mind here...
Thank you
Built a new computer with an Nvidia video card and cc works very well... I don't think that adobe likes to ATI Radeon graphics cards.
PS: If you are having problems with LR and you have an ATI Radeon video card... Go out and get a new card from Nvidia.
Thanks for trying to help.

I'm trying to import into Lightroom from my computer. When I click on the folders to import, they appear empty - but there are definitely pictures in folders. I have Lightroom 6, 6.5, Windows 7 update. How can I fix to this please? Thank you
What happens if you develop the Destination Panel on the right and make sure there is a destination folder valid specified?

Hi sebastiang,.
See the minimum system requirements is 1 024 MB or 1 GB and yours is only 64 MB, which does not meet the minimum system requirements
So to use the graphics card in LR, you will need to buy a better graphics card with a minimum of 1024 MB VRAM or 1 GB

The problem is as the title. I had this problem all of a sudden when I tried to import a slideshow movie to my computer. After that, this problem always occurs when I click on "slideshow". See the youtube below.
I have not changed anything on my computer. I have totally no idea for it and he has no clue.
Here's the list of what I've already done some advises.
(1) unchecked GPU
(2) download current QuickTime
(3) reset the Lightroom preferences (remove the preference)
(4) Lightroom uninstalled and reinstalled again
(5) is 'use autobahn = true' to 'using autobahn = false '.
But nothing has changed so far.
This problem is really mess up of my work for my client. I need to solve this problem as soon as possible.
Please let me know if anyone has any advice.
Thank you
Please remove the gramblr from the Lightroom plugin as it is originally the Lightroom to crash.
You can try to find the update of the plugin version or try to reinstall.

Crashing computer LR 2.2 - 2.3
I crashes with imports and even when scrolling though dir.
first question, I thought that the problem was all the files were on a WD external drive, when the player would go to undergo computer crashed
installs all files to an internal hard drive, rehooked all the dir missing.
on launch if I scroll a dir (probably 2 GB), the cursor locks and hard crashes
When you import to convert to DNG or leaving as cr2 files, breaks down after 2 to 5 files uploaded. I put all the files to import into a temporary directory on the destination disk.
-J' rebooted from scratch, same problems under 2.2 and 2.3.
total files in the catalog 12 k, don't have optimized the catalogue no difference in the problems, LR is the only application that causes a system crash.
current execution a 3.67 GHz dell xps730 4 GB of ram, 32 bit
any suggestions?
Thank you
Kevin
Lightroom is triggering the accident, but it is not the cause. You break down material, pure and simple.

Windows crashes software when it cannot verify the Publisher * found the problem
* Found the problem, thank you anyway
I use Windows XP and IE8, and I am trying to allow the installation of ActiveX controls.
I get the following warning of safety and error: "Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the Publisher.
To protect your computer, Windows crashes software when it cannot verify the Publisher. »
I have read a dozen forums and tried all the tips. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I tried going into the tools of IE tab and changing the security options to "allow software to run or install even if the signature is not valid.
I unchecked the boxes to "verify signatures.
I passed the security settings and select: fast for "Unsigned download Active X controls" and: ask the user 'initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as secure..' and 'activate' to 'run ActiveX controls '.
I even added the IP domain in my zone of confidence and lowered my security level to 'low '.
I also remembered to close and restart IE.
I always get the error message when you try to leave the site to install ActiveX. controls. FYI the ActiveX is remote viewing of a security camera.
If anyone has any other clues that could help me with this problem I would be very grateful.
Fancy
Thanks James, but I found the problem. There was an extra box that I neglected to "verify" that allowed to install unsigned files. I thought I had checked and unchecked everything related but I missed a. Scary lengths windows go to protect me! :)

We are an OEM that systems of electronic Assembly is based, in our machine is a PC running Windows XP Professional that provides the interface for the operator. Some of our systems have begun to crash intermittently when stopping. Up to now we have seen it on three machines. There has been no change to hardware or drivers that we put on these machines.
The PC is supposed to stop at the point were he said "It is now turn off your computer", but it hangs when the only thing on the screen is the default windows background and the mouse pointer. The mouse moves, but that's all. He is unresponsive to ctrl-alt-delete, or any other entry.
This was reported 5 times, and in any case there's nothing in any log file which would tend to indicate where the problem is maybe.
I guess we have a bad driver or device, but the problem only happens once all stops of 5-10, and only after the machine is turned on for a while.
I just turned on the detailed status messages, but they did not stop the machine since.
What I asked is: is it possible to get windows to connect to all events stop? I really want to know what he was doing when he stopped. Can someone else think something I can look at, or a better way to debug this?
Re: a suggestion on this new monitor to 'prove' is the source of the problem
Disconnect it, connect a type non-ecran touch "ordinary".
stop/restart in safe MODE, make sure that the old monitor is not appear in the Device Manager [what we used to call a ghost]
If it IS, delete it & uninstall the sw provided with touch screen
Reboot in normal mode
Try a stop
If you get the old orange it'S now SAFE, tell the seller about IT. -
