Lightroom CC freezes

Since the upgrade a few days ago, Lightroom CC crashes whenever I'm in it.

Hi gmeland

Could you uncheck 'Use Graphics Processor' of Preferences > Performance

Then restart Lightroom

Also, what is your operating system?

  • 6.3 Lightroom (Mac) freezes when importing

    Hi all

Due the fact that Apple has stopped development of opening I had to do a switch after several years of feeling 100% comfortable with an opening. After some research, it became clear that most of the people would recommend Lightroom. So I bought a copy.

Import of my opening book is very well and included all my projects and notes (very important!). So far so good.

Now, I tried to import photos newly shot of my Nikon D7100. Tried with the cable. Tried with the SC card in my Macbook Air. Lightroom still freezes when importing or is back with the 'message' that none of the pictures could be read.

Returned to the opening. Connected to the camera. Quick import and 100% OK.

I can't believe that Adobe releases a new version with such a major problem... Very frustrating... want my money back!

Can anyone help? Is that a known issue - the fixes proposed in the forums don't work not (import options)? Will there be an update to Lightroom soon?

    Thank you!

-Macbook Air 2012, 1, 7GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB RAM, 480 GB SSD Jetdrive (45 GB free event with library, Aperture and Lightroom to 150 GB each)

    -Mac OS 10.11.2

    -Adobe Lightroom 6.3

Yes, please try to import images to another location.

Also, make sure that you have read and write access on the location where you import the images.

  • Lightroom keeps freezing up on top of me in the develop Module

I'm working on a recent photo shoot. I downloaded my pictures as always. They're there, but when I go to work on them in the Module development overall the program freezes up, circle blue to sin, but nothing happens. I don't have the choice, but just stop it.

Everyone knows about similar problems? It's just me. I've recently upgraded to Windows 10, which would have something to do with it?

  • Lightroom cc freezes in develop mode (10 edition of Windows)

Since the upgrade of Windows 10 on my laptop computer, Lightroom cc freezes continuously in the develop module.  He is not a consistent gel, because sometimes I can actually deal with a picture or two.  I know not all problems in library mode, nor that I have problems in library mode when you use the quick settings.  It's only when I click on develop in the menu or select a preset in the develop module.

Usually, the screen has some split for her or will go black, complete.  I can minimize the window, and when I mouse over the icon in the tray, I can see that there are some processes that LR is trying to apply ('shadow', 'diagonally').   I tried to let the system works through the issue, but it ends with "No answer" with the only option to end the process.  I can then reopen LR without any problems and continue the work.

I hear other forums LR LR Tech tested LR with 10 Windows without any problem.  However, I see also other users complain the same effect (freezing, hanging, etc.).  I have not yet installed Photoshop, I don't want to cause more errors.  I have screen snaps

  • Lightroom keeps freezing

    Hello

I just downloaded the 30 day trial for Lightroom and everytime I try to run it, it freezes. The video at the beginning plays very well, but the minute she finished the program is done. I read the other "troubleshooting help" but they did nothing. I disabled the GPU and I updated my driver. My computer is a fairly new toshiba that I bought in January. It is running Windows 10. Also, when I try to run my Photoshop CS6, it works fine. What is going on? It's really discourage me to buy Lightroom...

    Hi michelam,

Please press ESC or enter/return on the keyboard as soon as you start Lightroom and the Intro video appears.

  • Lightroom 6 freezes: relocation only fix it (temporarily)

After installation on my Win 7 64 bit computer, Lightroom 6 autonomous freezes repeatedly. It works for awhile but if I close the program, and then reopen it later, I get the turning circle "unresponsive". I deleted the .lock file every time before I tried to launch the program and tried to launch of the short cut and the taskbar. I also tried upgrading my LR5 catalog again. Nothing has worked. Just to re-setup gets it to run again. The second time it crashed was after I closed the program trying to prevent facial recognition on my folder "all photographs".

Yes, these are the perils of an adapter at the beginning. I would like to have installed the trial, but I did not know that the standalone version comes with a CC also configuration file, so I canceled the installation and bought a license, only to discover that I was installing the same file I had cancelled. My fault, but Adobe has made it simple for an old * like me to make a mistake.

Seems to have fixed this in aid of Lightroom.

  • Lightroom CC freezes on splash screen

I've seen a lot of posts on Lightroom CC crashing, but my problem seems to be different.

I installed Lightroom CC through the CC app.  When I run the application, he asks me to update my catalog.  Once the dialog box "Update Catalog" ended, he launched Lightroom, my catalog appears in the background and then it hangs on the splash screen.  If I click anywhere, it turns black behind the splash screen and the program says it's not answer.  Here is what I tried:

-WAITED a long time to see if she was doing something

    -restart the computer

-uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom CC (on another hard drive)

-leave the creative and revived cloud app

-offline (via preferences) and recorded in creative cloud

-a started a new catalog instead of updating a current catalog

    -reset to zero/trash preferences

No matter what I do, it freezes on the splash screen.  Can anyone help?

    I use Windows 8.

After 2 hours talk time of support with a remote employee access to my computer, he found that it is a problem with my user account.  If I create a new user account in Windows, Lightroom works fine.  So now I can spend the rest of my afternoon trying to figure out how to transfer all my settings to a new account.  Thank you Adobe!  >:(

  • Lightroom 6 freeze at startup

I have 6 Lightroom downloaded on my Macbook Air. It was working fine, but now it crashes whenever I open it.  It won't get past the splash screen, that I tried restarting the computer, but it does not help.  I have no idea what happened. How can I fix? I'm afraid that if I reinstall, I'll lose all my work/catalogs.  Help please!

  • Lightroom CC freezes after import (February 2016)

Since the last update of Lightroom (February 2016), it crashes after importing the photos - even a single picture. I can close the program with the X at the top right of the task bar, or by using the Task Manager. Once I open Lightroom it again my photos are there, and everything goes as usual. However, it is very annoying to have to restart every time. I have turned off graphics acceleration. Anyone has a suggestion on how to stop this bad behavior?
