Keithley 2000 & Teststand

Hello

I am trying to set up a sequence in which I claim the specific .vi Keithley 2000 (simple measure, etc.). I need to pass the .vi measurement data, to my teststand sequence. But unfortunately, I do not know how to do it.

When I insert the VI in TestStand, there is no "exit" from the .VI setting, so I can't pass the VI data to my sequence.

Can anyone help with this?

Kind regards.

It is very basic LabVIEW to know how to wire the indicators on the side of the connector. Have you taken any of the many tutorials available? On the VI, you simply click on one of the terminals of the connector pane, and then click the flag.

    Hello

I recently used NI TestStand and NI MAX with IVI drivers to get my working(using USB) peripheral. He has worked successfully for TG5011 and TDS1002B Oscilloscope function generator.

Following the same procedure: I started with 2000 model DMM of Keithley with GPIB.

I am facing difficulties in finding my camera on OR-MAX devices and interfaces. I use a GPIB KUSB - 488B USB adapter to connect.

I can interact with the device of VISA Interactive Control and KUSB diagnosis tool and you can see the device in the device Windows and KI-Configuration Utility Manager. Surprisingly, I don't see GPIB Board in the NOT-MAX.

    Help, please.

System details: NI-VISA 5.2 installed on Windows 7, KUSB-488 driver installed in command compatibility mode OR. (only ieee_32m.dll is present), installed UN NOR-488.

    Thank you

To help all those who have read this thread:

I had the Keithley 2000 NOR-MAX and NOR-Test Stand using IVI Driver (for Keithley 2000 of NOR) using the KUSB - 488 B (GPIB to USB adapt from Keithley).

Layer of keithley installed IO Keithley and I can see the unit property. I then followed the procedure for IVI MAX and TestStand pilot program and IT WORKED!

Please find attached the screenshots for Visual clarity.

  • read simultaneously the two keithley 2000 s

    Hey,.

I'm reading simultaneously ongoing tensions between two Keithley 2000 s. As it is right now, I've initialized just the two Keithleys, put them both to read DC voltage, wait for a trigger on the Panel before (a simple OK button), read data and write it to a table. Subsequently, the data in the table are written to a text file. The problem is that the tensions are played one after the other instead of at the same time. How can I fix my code or what else do I need to do? I am attaching my code so far. Thank you.

    Weston

You can't do a simultaneous reading. Need to trigger both instruments at the same time. Then do sequential playback.

I have a problem of command with Keithley 2000 DMM using LV 8.6. To find out, even by using drivers downloaded from the site of NOR, I can't initialize the DMM displays error 961 on the screen.

I tried to communicate via M & A Explorer, and I send * IDN? question the answers the same error on first use and when I do the IDN question the second time, it does not give an error. I have no idea whats going on.

    any help is appreciated.

  • How to close multiple channels in keithley 2000 TC2001 DMM AND SCAN CARD with gpib-labview

    MR PRESIDENT.

I need help to open and close several channels in 2000DMM Keithley (I would take out of the entire 10 card)

    Thanks in advance

    Shan...

I recommend that set you the function so that you read the temperature. You may also configure the type of thermocouple. You should be able to get rid of manual conversion all you do. I think you also need a trigger function front to read in order to run a scan.

The manual is the best place to have an understanding of the steps required to do a scan and read.

    Hello

Open the keithley 2000 and in the lvlib project in public, you will find the tree.vi.

Inside is a configuration vi for themocouple measures

extend the case in the example simple reading if this is used (also extend selection) and see what happens.

  • Keithley scan 2000 delay time

I'm updating some legacy in Labview code that was written for a Scan Keithley 2000 DMM with 10 Channel relay card.  Right, the code now contains a delay between selection of a channel of meter and read the data.  The time is 1 second.

I could not find any supporting documentation why this delay must be put in place.  It's just for debouncing?  If Yes, does anyone have any experience which suggests could be shorter?

    Thank you.

The time depends on your system. For debouncing 20 ms is more appropriate.

But you can try. Build scans between max, min and weak signals and see how fast the system gives the right answer.

Another reason for delay is the automatic selection of the DMM, sometimes that takes some time and also the load on your system should stabilize.

  • scene freezes meter readings

    Hello

I can't run in the same loop code in a motorized stage (Standa 8MVT100-25-1) and a keithley 2000 multimeter to measure the voltage. The loop stops after the 3rd measure of the Keithley when the scene begins the case of speed. See my attached code. I'd appreciate the help.

    Thank you.

I don't wait for anything, in fact I found a solution. If I do the 200 ms of time-out, for example, it won't wait for an event and keep the loop running.

    Thanks for your help anyway.

    Kind regards.

  • LabVIEW executable becomes insensitive, Windows reports the lack of resources in trying to perform tasks of the Explorer

I have a test program that uses modules of NOR-9481 relay to switch the power part and pass a Keithley 2000 DMM to measure the voltage. This test must feed on and off the part x 3000 for 4 minutes and 4 minutes. I've implemented this drawing using a state machine design style. Timing is done in one minute increments by using the ' find Date/time in seconds ' function available with Labview 8.2. Every minute, a measurement is performed and the data is written to a text file.

    -Algorithm measurements:

-Whatever it is, the instrument is initialized with a reset, between state machine loop

Measurment - function configures Volts DC and relax, (relay switch), send the trigger and read in instrument when SRQ asserts itself

    -Switching algorithm:

-DAQmx create task w/Auto cleanup (T)

-DAQmx create TV - digital output

-Channel - DO property node. Reverse lines = False

-DAQmx generate 1 d digital data

-DAQmx write data w / Auto start (T)

I worked with the devices that we communicate with the bugs and they seem to work normally, but for the second time (yesterday, it was a mistake DAQmx) cycle 131 (17ish hours after the test), the program became unresponsive and windows will not open the Task Manager and windows Explorer reports "insufficient system resources" which tent to open a window. LabVIEW is not report an error...

Currently, I suspect the while loop that controls the timing and am put a WaitTillNextmsMultiple function in the loop the value 500.

I also wonder if the sequence DAQmx consumes memory and eventually consume all system resources.

If anyone has a problem with the cameras that I use his knowledge or ideas please help. Thank you

If the fat thing happens repeatedly... you answered your own question.

LV won't destroy resources until it closes as part of his routine of cleaning.

Create tasks and assign resources once when you start and reuse until finished, then destroy them.

  • Keithley 2400 and 2000 to Windows 7 computer connection

I have a Keithley 2400 sourcemeter and a 200 Keithley DMM connected to my computer via IEEE-488/GPIB KUSB of Keithley. When I plug the USB in my computer it does not recognize the connection, and in fact my program OR measurement and Automation does not recognize that they are connected at all. Using the help function in LABVIEW I also installed the drivers appropriate for the 2400 and 2000, but without effect. Someone has advice on how I could get these to connect to my computer? I intend to use for a test of Van der Pauw.

    Tried to contact Keithley?

It is their equipment and I know from past experience, that they are familiar with the software NOR.

You will get results much more quickly.

Many people here use software and hardware. I have no personal experience with the KUSB.

    Hello

I'm trying to run a Keithley 2400 SourceMeter with LabView using the most recent driver (Keithley 24XX) and the example VI "Keithley 24XX Read Single.vi".

After selecting the GPIB address, I run the program and Labview throws the following error message:

    Possible reasons:

    Reports of the instrument:

    Keithley 24XX read Single.vi

I also have a 2000 Keithley multimeter upward and the runing with his latest driver and program example and it works fine.

    What could be the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Why my MacOS Sierra shows a purchase date of January 1, 2000?

I installed Sierra, but it does not appear in my purchases. When I go to the website of Mac to look at the new features of the Sierra, it gives me a page that I need to install the Sierra, as if it does not recognize that I have. I downloaded it again, but when I saw the date of purchase from January 1, 2000. Is my oldest purchase of 2011. So think the app purchase history does not as far to 2000, so does not appear. I think it will be a problem, if my purchases do not reflect that I have Sierra. How can this be repaired?

Reset the PRAM and see if this is useful, the instructions are in iMac SMC and the PRAM reset

  • Classic game "astral world 2000"?

    Greetings,

In the year 2000 and 2001, I used to enjoy a game called Astral World 2000, I think.  It was a "browser" abstract game requiring a connection through the web and the annual subscription.  Certainly, he has closed its doors and off the service in the early 2000s.  Does anyone else remember this game?  He had a lot of colors, soft music and resting.

I think I'm having a difficult time finding because it is not available on a google search on the web.  Also, I haven't shot to the top of my old iMac in a few years.

    Thank you

    David

Certainly, he has closed its doors and disabled the service in the beginning of the 2000s

Should tell you why you can not find it!
