Lightroom has pictures in gray. Have not imported the.

I want to back up photos from PC on external HD.  When I try to do so through Lightroom like 95% of the photos in gray. When I click on one of them, he said they have already been imported. They are not on the external hard drive and have never been.  The only thing I did recently add photos from PC to the LR catalog. Any ideas?  Thank you.

You cannot use Lightroom to save photos. Re import them will not make a backup.

Your photos are not 'in' Lightroom, they in folders on your hard drive.

Lightroom only refers to them in the catalog.

Use Windows Explorer to copy the photos on the external hard drive, or use a backup utility

    When I try to use the system restore, I get this error as follows... (an unspecified error has provisioned & you files have not changed) I get this same error even using different activation & restore points. I don't know how you can even get an UNSPECIFIED error, seems to me if a mistake has provisioned & he knows it's a mistake he would know what is the error. In my opinion, this error message no sense at all... I'd be happy to hear this error message explained or all thoughts. Thanks for any help...

    Be sure not to remove the 2nd partition, because it IS a recovery or backup disk.

    We use the 7.2.12.04.25 32-bit version of ADI on a machine IBM P750 running AIX 5.3.  The correct application of the Oracle is version 11.5.10 on a 10G database.  We have two users who are unable to download each other spreadsheets, but are able to upload their own.  Another user is able to download the worksheets created by both users who cannot download all other worksheets.  ADI settings seem to be the same, and users choose the same responsibility.  Database properties appear to be the same as well inside spreadsheets.  One option would be to copy the contents of the worksheet to the other person in one they have created, and then load it but this process is too cumbersome to entertain.  Has anyone met and solved this problem?  The mistake they see is "you have not signed the required Applications database.
