  Hi, I searched some and did not have much success in debugging a problem that I am having with LR CC (2015,6 release, camera raw 9.6).  When you try to import from an SD card, I get the following error message:

  'The following files were not imported because they could not be read. (1)

  This occurs when you are trying to simply 'copy' and also trying to "copy as DNG.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm working on an iMac running El Cap 10.11.5 with plenty of memory and storage...

  Please ensure that the Panel of destination in the Lightroom Import window is set to a valid location and you have read/write permissions to the location

  Also, make sure the Destination panel is expanded when you click Import.

• Strange codec / import issues after update 20141

  Well, I'm bit clueless about a rather odd behavior since the update to 20141.

  Somehow first has problems with multiple codecs that work fine with 2014.0.0 and 0.1

  for example: AAC-Audio in many forms.

  The video stream corresponding (h264) works very well. The same file works without any problem in 2014.0.1

  Even made an another file mp4/h264 + aac right out of first 20141 results in the same issue that I can't import the file back to the first without losing the audio stream.

  The file has been exported with first 2014.0.1 and I'm able to import it ti 2014.0.1 without any problem. But 2014,1 indicates that the file contains no supported formats.

  All this is repeatable that I re - install 2014.0 and everything works - and 20141 with these problems. This problem appears in new projects as well as in the 2014.0 - imported projects.

  I found another statement of this kind of problem here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595720 - but the proposed solution does not work for me.

  So - any suggestions?

  You can try and reset the preferences. Go to adobe documents. Rename the old adobe adobe folder.

  By doing this, you will lose the custom keyboard shortcuts.

  Check whether or not this step allows.

• CS6 MPG import issues with TMPGEnc Smart Renderer

  I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and has a solution.

  TMPGEnc Smart Renderer 4.1.5 is a tool that allows the cutting of level framework of MPEG2 stream while performing a minimum of coding. I use this tool to cut scenes of the DVD source material. A cut scene is important in Premiere Pro CS6 with no error message. When I see it in the source monitor, the 3 first seconds playing very well but after that the image is deformed and loses audio synchronization. I will attach a few pictures to show the beginning and deformed.

  This happens regardless of what source DVD is used. The clip source plays well in any player I have (windows, VLC media player).

  Thought I would let you know that I've finally sorted this! :)

  In another forum I read a post from someone who had a similar problem and solved it by uninstalling the "failures" updated, restart the PC and then re-run the update. It worked! It had not occurred to me to try what I've assumed that 'impossible' meant that they had not installed at all, not that they didn't had simply not installed correctly and must have become corrupt.

  I hope this will help someone else who has the same problem, I've had!

  What mistake you found is because of permissions problems. Check out this link.

  The latest version of Lightroom is CC 2015.3. LR CC 2015 is out for about 9 months with 5 updates, 1, 1.1,.2,. 2.1 and maintenant.3.

  Clearly, you have not a newer version. In fact, you're 6 behind, communicated LR 5.7.1 and 5 that I posted above.

  Well, as you said you got error message on administrator privileges.

  Going to do something, to confirm & if you want, try once hidden Admin account.

  You don't need to create one, it is incorporated super user account.

  If you are able to install from there, then we can easily understand the specific issue of the user account.

  Carefully follow the steps below:

  We are at ODI 10.1.3.5. We exported again project with children DEV instance components and wanted to import the XML file that was exported in the TEST instance using the synonym INSERT mode. We have some of the interfaces whose names are identical in the different old project instances DEV and TEST. If import us the new XML project file in the TEST instance with synonym INSERT, it causes a problem? What is the best approach to deal with import/export between different instances when the object names are the same between projects? I would be grateful if someone responds with suggestions.

  It is not really important that the names are the same. Each object in ODI is assigned a unique object ID and this is what is used when an import is performed in order to determine the measures taken in the repsitory of the target. As long as this ID does not match an ID that already exists in your target repository, then you will be ok if you use synonym insert, although I suggest using synonym Insert/Update. Part of the object ID is the ID of the repository that being exported from the origin, so as long as you repsitory unique ID across your environments (basic good practices), you should not type any important issue-based.
