Lightroom ism Nas

Hallo,

Wie kan mij helpen ordering? Last weekend zijn, na een gedeeltelijke crash van mijn Lacie Nas al mijn Lgalerie op een put. IK weet al dat I een LR catalog yesterday niet kan op was, die due staat op mijn Mac. Alles lijkt you werken. have 1 onderdeel niet.

  • Lightroom loses NAS file locations after external editing in photoshop

When I use Lightroom and use the command to edit my RAW files in Photoshop and then save and close Photoshop and Lightroom loses my file locations.

Indeed, in my test, the original RAW file that I edited was on my NAS server in ' / Volumes/home/something thing-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794.» NAVE. Published Photoshop saved successfully the new file in the same folder that "/ Volumes/home/something-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794-Edit-2.tif" but Lightroom was get her in "/ home/something-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794-Edit-2.tif".

It seems that Lightroom is ripped off the beginning of the game "/ Volumes" file path and I have to say Lightroom where the file is really so he could rebuild the link. No idea how to solve this problem?

I work with the following configuration:

    -Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

-Home-made NAS (freenas) server to store all my RAW files

    -Lightroom version: CC 2015.2.1

    -Adobe Photoshop Version: 2015.0.1

08-12-2015, it's always the same problem with Lightroom version: CC 2015.3 and Adobe Photoshop Version: 2015.1 unfortunately!

I did more stable after reading a message on another forum (LR loses the locations of files after that I have Edit in photoshop on my iMac - Lightroom Forums) and found out that the problem was caused by the AFP share name: home. It seems Lightroom or Photoshop don't like stocks AFP named 'home' when it comes to performing a "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015...". I renamed my AFP share in 'nashome', and it's working now.

The cause has been found and there is an easy solution, but the problem is still to be fixed by Adobe now!

  • Anyone using Lightroom with a NAS system

You can use Lightroom with NAS?

Yes, it's the only way you can use a NAS. It works fine if your network is fast enough.

  • Lightroom loses the files on a network (NAS) storage disk

    I use Lightroom 5.7 on a PC under Windows 7 64-bit.

A couple of weeks, I've installed a network (NAS) storage system as I was running out of HDD space.  I created a logical drive on the NAS for the Photos.  In Lightroom, I dragged photo on the new drive files.  Backup and catalogue files remained on the internal hard drive.

My photos are arranged in chronological order, in directories (years) and its subdirectories (days, named using the format "2014_12_31").

Since files on the NAS, Lightroom has been giving me some error messages in the develop module, that it cannot find the files.  Previews discovers very well in the library module, and the files are still there when I look for them in Windows Explorer.  The errors do not occur in the directories subdirectories integers (years) (days) - only some files in the respective subdirectories are affected.  And only the files of 2015 seem to have the problem.  And, when I drag the directories back on my internal hard drive (again, within Lightroom), the errors disappear and everything works fine.

  • Lightroom don't reconoce NAS Netgear

Hola, acabo of buy a netgear NAS Lightroom y no lo reconoce. Hay alguna manera especial Lightroom configurar para Quebec recognize el NAS?

The operating system recognize it? LR shows that readers who are recognized by the operating system.

Please, tell us the BONES and LR version you are using.

  • Lightroom and photos stored on the NAS

I would like to save my photos on my NAS, any problems with this way of working with Lightroom?

RAID1 mirror: you need high availability?

But you know, that there is no backup security?

You need someone else on top of that.

I learned that the hard way, when not only one of the raid drives crashed, but the raid as controller.

If the remaining good drive could not read, as he said he would be part of a raid1 system and any available raid controller.

He had a good week, a lot of nerves to get it restored with the help other software...

Since then, we have re-analysis that we really need: a good reliable backup, which is almost always updated.

Leaving so the two terabyte nas-drives separated, but quite often backed up, was the chosen solution.

If the primary drive fails now, I just have to recreate a link to the top-level folder of image on its separate backup drive and continue the work of LR. Sufficiently high availability for our needs.

  • Lightroom 6 and external drive (NAS)

Is the light room capable of handling his photos (facial recognition and organization) on a WD My Cloud Storage device or all media to be on my computer windows laptop?

    Thank you

Photos can be on any drive connected, internal or external, or network. As much as I know, pictures cannot be in the cloud.

Your Lightroom Catalog must be either an internal drive or external (not a network drive).

  • Performance of Lightroom

I use a 2 year iMac, with a library of about 160 000 pictures and make extensive use of keywords / metadata.  While the main images are on a NAS, the catalogue is local.  I wanted to be able to manage my entire catalog in Lightroom allows you to select all images with a keyword for example.

Performace deteriorated to the point that it takes more than 8 hours to download a single memory card 64 GB and even longer if the I add keywords to this point.  Memory use seems OK but CPU is well beyond 100%, usually 120-140% and stays there always. When you use Lightroom the transition from one image to the other can be slow, as is the rendering of the image that brings a pretty poor experience and buckets of frustration.

It would be a shame to have to divide the catalogue as it will ruin my workflow.

Everyone has the same problems and no one knows of a magic solution.

Usually, slowing as it has nothing to do with the size of the catalog. It is an extremely common misperception. If I were to make a list of ten things albums that could cause slowdowns like this, catalog size isn't on the list.

Could give you please the exact version NUMBER of Lightroom, you have (please don't tell me it's up-to-date or that you have the latest version). Also, please indicate your operating system.

    Also, please provide this information:

    • Brand and model of the processor
    • Free space on the hard drive with photos
    • Free space on the hard drive with the catalogues
    • Amount of memory
    • Size in megapixel (not megabytes) the photos you import, and how many of these photos are on the map of 64 GB that you import
    • Enable or disable the GPU acceleration
  • Work with Lr from a NAS

I have a NAS (Network Attached Storage) that I use to store all my photos for the backup. However, I was wondering if I could have Lr directly until the NAS rather than keep the files on my original hard drive (running out of space quickly). My NAS has mirrored of drives so if one goes down, I always have a back-up.

I don't know if Lr will have problems with the network connection via the SATA connection on my hard drive.

    Thoughts, experience, help?

Yes, you can work with photos on one of the RAID drives and have the other RAID disk-based backups.

You must point Lightroom to use the RAID drive instead of the internal drive. Please follow the instructions in this document (scroll down to the section called "Part 2 ‑‑ update folder Location"). Future imports should go directly to the RAID drive instead of your internal disk.

  • NAS connection

Guys, I need help and assistance.

Two or three days ago, I moved my old photos of my Synology NAS, I did it by dragging files in LR from my iMac to the folder of photo on my NAS. The reason for this was to clean up disk space on my iMac. Everything worked perfectly, all records and old photos have been moved and I could see them in my LR catalog. This morning I started my NAS and iMac, wanted to work a these old photos, but now, I cannot see the NAS and the folders in my folder structure in LR. I'm looking for a way to "reconnect" my SIN for LR, I am able to connect to the NAS via the Finder and I can see all the photos.

I saw the link: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing , but it seems that it can be used only when you will see the external (although not active) location. And Yes, I read that by dragging files in LR is not the best advice, lesson learned.

Can someone help me out here please?

All the files that have been moved to the NAS drive must be reported as missing. All you have to do is right click on this folder and update the location of the folder. If all the missing files are under a parent folder, the location of the parent folder update should solve all other subfolders.

  • Import in Lightroom in gray

I have recently passed my image files to a Synology NAS disk, but kept my database Lightroom and associated to files on a local disk. As I made the switch, I was not able to import new files. The "Import" button is grayed out. Anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue. I restarted LR repeatedly. I even uninstalled, restarted my computer and reinstalled, but still have the same question. Any input would be greatly appreciated!  (I'll check on this post when I return to the office on Monday.)

    Import Grayed.jpg

Please rename Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs again and check the issue.

Let me know if the problem persists.

  • Lightroom 2015.2.1

I've updated to Lightroom 2015.2.1 on a Mac Mini memory of 8 MB (2015). I tried to import the material from a local NAS. The import program is appalling, it's slow at the point of being unusable, it is difficult to navigate (I don't want to see pretty graphs I want to import RAW files) and just when you think you have there it hangs. I'm really paying for it. It has turned into a monster and you had a perfectly usable product.

    Hello

Please, go to the preferences of the Lightroom under the general tab uncheck the option 'Show add Photo screen'.

Restart the Lightroom and try again.

    Thank you

    Hi rogerg32904346,

Lightroom won't save pictures on the cloud, until you move the images in the cloud.

You can import images from the NAS in Lightroom.

Using an SMB connection to the NAS? If so, we have seen a lot of weird problems with SMB since it has been updated by Apple in 10.9. AFP usually works in situations.

  • Lightroom / Photoshop CC on two computers?

    Hey Adobe-Team,

I intend to rent Lightroom / Photoshop CC...

As I am with two computers (Imac and MacBook), is it possible to install LR / PS CC on both computers? Or what I need to buy / rent twice?

How does Mobile LR on my Ipad know which computer to synchronize?

In addition, it is possible to place / store catalogs on a NAS?

I appreciate your comments, thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards

At some point of time, you can be connected on two machines, however use only at one hour.
