Lightroom launch

I just bought 6 Lightroom today and after having installed the program, he then failed to launch.  A message appears that says Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working and then closes the program.  What can I do to be able to launch this programme as I just bought?

I fixed it.  I renamed ig7icd64.dll ig7icd64_old.dll and now it seems to work. Thank you

  • AAM Lightroom "Launch the App" link is inactive/gray

When I installed Lightroom 4.3 via Creative Cloud Adobe Application Manager, "Launch the App" link has been nonfuntional. Is it a matter of worry? Or is it specific to Lightroom (maybe LR should be addressed to the .lrcat)?

I'm on an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 with 165 GB of disk space. In addition, my Lightroom catalog on an external drive.

Thanks for any input you may have,

    It is unique in Lightroom.

Also the link App launch is a link of convenience for right after the application is installed. Once you close and restart the application Adobe Application Manager App launch link will be gone.

  • Crashes indexing service (Windows Service) - prevents other applications to launch

Running Vista Ultimate on a PC HP Media Center with 4 GB of memory, Intel Core 2 processor.

Last week, Outlook 2007 stopped launching without error.  It crashes with the splash screen and the outline of the visible main window.  Adobe Lightroom 2.6 order launch, to provide a "Server busy" dialog box, where none of the buttons seem to do anything.

Looking across several Microsoft and Adobe forums led me to the Windows Search indexing service.  Indexation in the Panel applet open and displays the message 'Attempt to retrieve indexing status' and never changed.

I tried to stop the Windows Search service, but it would not stop - return an error that said that he had not been able to stop the service within the time limit.

Then I tried disabling the service, restart the PC and everything worked as it should, but when I start Outlook it gives me a warning message about the indexing service is disabled.

Restarting the service again once not Outlook and Lightroom launched - once again.

So, how can I get the indexing service to perform again, without harming my ability to run other applications?

    The safest way: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/gp/windows_search
The safe way (probably) - it is possible that one of the search filters is causing the problem. You can use this program for the file extensions list associated with filters that uses Windows Search. You can compare the list of filters with an "almost clean installation of Windows Vista SP2" (check here). You can remove the extensions for non-Microsoft programs.
The dangerous path - try the below at your own risk (tested very limited on Virtual PC, it seems to work, but I can't tell if he does not break anything).
Set the startup type for the service Windows Search on "Disabled" and reboot. After the reboot, open administrator command prompt (right click on command prompt icon and choose 'Run as administrator'). Enter rmdir /S /Q %programdata%\Microsoft\Search in the command prompt window (this removes the folder where, by default, Windows Search stores its files). Once you do this, set the service startup type to "Automatic" Windows search and start the service. Now, he may not start the first time you do it. In this case try again.

  • How can I run lightroom after installing on a mac?

I just bought a new macbook pro after my Windows laptop is dead and downloaded the mac version of Lightroom 5.7.1 of past in my account orders adobe, I ran the installer for two .dmg files that have been downloaded on my mac and I have now two icons on the desktop. The installer said the software successfully installed.

If I click on one of these icons, all that happens is that the Setup program runs again... I do not see how to launch the software and I was not prompted to enter the serial code to check the software... I'm puzzled.

It is not lightroom launch icon in the dock... If I go to the finder and click on one of the two .dmg files I downloaded, everything that happens is that the Setup program runs again.

Any ideas on how I proceed with this installation and run the software?

OK... so I have answered my own question by searching online for how to "Uninstall" application on a mac. Apple guide on this site what is called the "launchpad" who has his own gray icon showing a rocket in the dock at the bottom of the screen.

When you click on it it shows all of your apps, not just the ones that appear in the dock.

In the launch area, I can see the familiar Lightroom icon, which when I clicked it, launch Lightroom, prompted me for the serial number so that I can complete the installation.

Maybe this will help other new Mac users to get acquainted with the whims of another operating system.

I reinstalled several times I tried (and paid) the two CC of lightroom and version of office. Disconnected from the CC and back in. I checked the priorities of folder in the Adobe application support folder.

I don't think there is room for improvement here, as Lightroom seems to be the "odd-one-out"... in what Creative Cloud Desktop application does provide some idea whether if you have currently installed and continues to list as an application with an option 'Install '.

  • Complaints about undesirable advertising that opens when you launch lightroom

Why is lightroom opens this giant advertising that you can not close when you launch lightroom? It is said 'Take you lightroom everywhere' etc. ad another asked me to watch a video.

I need to process files not answer some stupid publicity. It is a big problem for me because I need to process a large number of files on a remote server and I installed this app on my remote server to do if however this enormous publicity is so huge, it has paralyzed the software and frozen it. I can't use the software because this giant image appears and blocks the app. What is undesirable. If I want I can search on google for the giant images. I don't want to see a giant image, I need to process files.

This only occurs when you start a new catalog, and only if you've never signed in LR Mobile and never related a collection with LR Mobile.

Never start a new catalogue or mobile signature in LR, even if you use it ever, then bind a collection with her, even if this collection is empty or doesn't have an image in it, and you'll never get this screen.

What is the screen that you are talking about?

Bought Lightroom 6 April 13 (5 days).   Downloaded installation and seemingly without any problem.  At the launch of however, I get a pop up that says Lightroom must close.  I get no further than the splash screen.  Spent several hours uninstalling, restart the computer and then re installation, both on my own and with the help of the box of cat from Adobe, nothing helps.  Have tried to find answers here in the forums, but have given up the search as it is organized like a crazy pie slice...  I am regretting the purchase and the level of support (as there seems to be no... Cat is a joke and there is NO phone number).

Can't wait to see if someone can help me with this problem here in the forums as seems to be the ONLY option available.  I don't have any idea if I write this in the right area or not.
