  I post this question here because I couldn't find satisfactory answers by Google search.

  I have two requests:

  (1) is now recently launched FREE Lightroom for iPad (you do not have to have a Creative Cloud subscription - it is a free standalone software cost for iPad & Android tablets & so is mobile) as functional as the original LR for iPad where he had to have a subscription to the CC? I have a perpetual license for LR 6. XX (not a subscription of the cc and therefore was not eligible for LR for iPad before this free version came out) and I have now installed the free app from the Apple Store on my iPad Air. Is this a version with less features?

  (2) whereas LR for iPad seems comfortable to make adjustments to photos taken with the iPad, how it really is useful for a serious amateur and a pro who shoot RAW/NEF with DSLR?

  The idea behind LR for iPad appears to allow editing of the RAW files on the go. But I do see quite a few tools that are available on the LR of ordinary office. From what I understand he must buy a connector of camera for iPad - which I have not yet bought - and RAW files are transferred to the iPad as intelligent preview for editing files.

  When only the basic editing capabilities are found on LR for iPad (OR maybe I did not understand where are the advanced editing tools more) how a serious amateur or a professional photographer has a real productivity with LR for iPad?

  What Lightroom mobile is: a fun way to modify some images that you have on your main computer of Lightroom while sitting on the couch watching television and a simple way to generate a quick sideshow portfolio to show people superficially. The latter can be very useful if as me you pull a few extra images documentaries and movies with your iPhone. They will automatically appear in the library of your main machine alongside your digital SLR. Another use for it is as a way to get your images published in instagram office.

  I just downloaded this on my iPad, and whenever I click on the application to open it, it crashes.  I tried to delete the app, turn off the iPad and reinstall the application, but I still get the same problem.  I just bought creative if I can use my iPad for editing photos using Lightroom - but since I can't open the app I am able to renounce this project?

  • Not sure if your Ipad will be able to read the raw files directly, if it isn't then all you need to do is move or copy pictures to the Ipad and then use LR mobile app for the synchronization of the images.

  Maybe I'm not reading notes Adobes correctly... I saw the App LR so loaded that on the iPad right now (very handy as a halfway house if I happen to take a picture then buff on the 'big screen')

  HAVE I reason to think that, even if I have a nice, big, well-used LR on the Mac, this app is a trial (you find opening the App) and not synchronized to the paid for 'big brother', so without making the use if registered?

  I now have Lightroom CC on my desktop and Mobile with Lightroom on iPad and Smartphone Samsung mu.

  I can post to the cloud from the office and see the images on my other portable devices, OK so far.

  Now, if I use one of my portable devices to publish on the cloud every portable device can show results, my office however sees the name of the collection and has no pictures.  The 'Sync with Lightroom Mobile' bed 'photo of synchronization 1' (I chose only one to try), but does not download anything.

  Visible images through 'Help', 'Show your synchronized Web collections' so I know they are there.

  I have re-installed Lightroom CC twice now and also did the same thing with Lightroom mobile and still nothing.

  Last night, a representative of Adobe has taken control of my machine remotely to try to resolve the problem but also could not understand the problem.  He has removed from the synchronization files but alas no progress.

  I'm looking for advice to help solve my problem.

  I downloaded Lightroom for Ipad. Followed the instructions. It is said that a collection should be able to sync by clicking on the button next to the collection name synchronization. However I have nothing next to the name of the collection in Lightroom, I can synchronize against anything?

  Nope, Lr 5.4 is not just limited to the United States. My guess, from the other private communications, is that international auto update servers still don't have not picked up on the new version. It seems to happen every dot release, but no not at Adobe ends seems able to fix it. All you can do is hope that someone on Adobe wakes up and realizes that it is April 8, 2014

• Lightroom Mobile app expired subscription

  I spent some time with the help of Adobe via chat, as well as on the phone with him control my computer.  He says that Lightroom works fine and my subscription is very well.  However, on my Mac, Lightroom says that my Mobile subscription has expired.  I know that the Mobile subscription is not included if you have membership of education, I don't have the education version.  Of course, the Lightroom app iPad also says that my subscription has expired.  I made sure to load the Cloud creative application and not the stand-alone version which I also own.  Phone support has now given me on this forum, indicating there is nothing more he can do for me and I need someone more versed in the Mobile application.  Even though I pretend that there is a problem in the application of office or my subscription on the Adobe server.

  I must stress, I this charge at work so he plans also to expired subscription, also on a Mac, the two very recent machines with the latest OS X and updates.

  He worked for a very short time over the weekend, a few hours.  Lightroom on Mac now shows that it is syncing 7 photos and when I click it it shows "expired subscription.  I tried logging out creative cloud in the creative cloud app as well as in Lightroom several times. 

  If anyone was able to meet a fix for this, I'd love to hear it.  At this point, my subscription is still very new and I can still cancel and get a full refund.
