• Limit keyword for excerpts from Bridge?

  I try to set up a library in the bridge of the Indesign snippets, but have problems adding more than 3 keywords to a clip. If I add a fourth keyword dialog box informs me that there was a problem writing to the file metadata. The problem occurs on local files as well as those on a network. I checked the write permissions and they seem to agree. I have no problem with adding more of 3 keywords to other types of files. Is there a limit keyword when using excerpts or if anyone out there can suggest a solution? I'm on a Swedish system (Adobe CS 5.5), so if someone can check if the problem occurs on the English versions I will be eternally grateful.

  Using a Dutch CS5 on OSX-English language it does not for several keywords then 3. Also the addition of information in the field of IPTC metadata description does not accept the data.

  No experience with excerpts, I think it has something to do with the code for the excerpts. Check this thread out I found in Google, they speak of INX files:

• Why LR6 displays all the images in a folder?

  I created a folder named "owls". He had 71 images, and all have been displayed by LR. I added 86 images in the folder outside of LR. These images have been copied in other folders. I asked LR to import images into this folder. All new images are grayed out and when I click on the 'owls' LR folder displays only the 71 original. What I am doing wrong?

  This is the prefect reason why keywords should be used to organize rather than records. You can assign two (or a lot more than two, there is no limit) keywords to the photo. It is one of the strengths of Lightroom! There is no need to duplicate the photo so that it can exist in two folders. There are many disadvantages to duplicate photos.

  Oracle does not have the LIMIT keyword in this context.

  Use

  When you first launch LR6, it should automatically detect your catalog LR5 and asks if you want to open an improved copy of it.

  All of your changes, keywords, etc. will be deferred.

  If it doesn't, use file > open in LR6, orders and access the LR5 catalog.

  See about this in the Adobe official feedback forum: 6 Lightroom exports all selected images.  This thread contains workaround solutions that have worked for others.  Please add your vote and the details of your problem to make it more likely Adobe will give priority to a solution.  And please continue discussion there so that everyone benefits.

  I can't be able to put a keyword in the keywords list. Can do it only when I put a key word within another keyword.

  Use the Keywording, not the list of keywords tab.

• LR6 delete multiple keywords

  After a major keyword organization, I'm done with several hundred keywords that does not see all (i.e. count is 0). Now, I want to remove those and the only way, it seems that I can do is one at a time. It would be nice if I could select a block of them and right click and click 'Delete', but it does not work. Suggestions to work around?

• Possible bug in LR6 (CC) re: list of keywords

  Something strange is happening in my new LRcc, which looks like a bug, but there may be a new behavior that I don't understand.

  When I try to add a new keyword by clicking on "+" in the "Keywork list" header, the new keyword is not in the list.  It does not "keywords recent' set in the keywords Panel.  He also gets attached to a selected photo if I have this checked when I create the key word as a tag.  But, nothing in the list.  However, if I create a new keyword, which is a sub of an existing keyword, by clicking right on, say, "birds" in my list of keywords and selecting 'create tag keyword inside the birds', the keyword appears.  I confirmed that it worked as planned in LR5.  Y at - it a new procedure to put a new keyword in the list, or is it just a bug?  Or do I do something stupid (always a distinct possibility).

  No, it wasn't the problem (I had not checked the option 'people' on the keyword, and I was showing the keyword 'all' in the list) but I discover.  It turns out that one of my key words had the option "Put new keywords inside this keyword" set, which meant that my new keywords appear at the top level, but were inside my keyword "teams" where I could not see them.  I do not know if this option existed in LR5, and I have no idea why it has been activated for "teams", but who, off, solved the problem.

• How many keywords can be asigned to a photo.

  I'm scanning "analog" photos, shot on negative and positive film. It will take a few months before the end, and in order to check them I want to assign keywords if I can easily find specific information. How many keywords will accept Photos, and they are with the image or in a separate file?

  no limit except it can't is complicated to use if you have a lot - and they are stored in the database of Photos and when you export a photo if you select this option to export keywords, they are added to the exported photo IPTC fields

  Maybe all you want to do is to go in drive D itself (click here to open a window for her) and access the white search in the upper right of this window, where there is a small magnifying glass showing.  To limit the search file name, you can enter:

  name: abc

  If you want to search independently incorporated between the other letters abc, enter:

  name: ~ = abc

  I worked on the old iMac, with pictures on a NAS and LR6. Now, I bought a new iMac and LR 5-6.I LR upgrade already installed LR 6 on the new iMac (installation of vacuum). What is the best procedure to migrate from the old to the new world. PS: I have a lot of folders, keywords, and the 'collections '. Each thing must remain such what. In future photos will be stored on the iMac (no longer on the NAS). Thanks for your help.

  In Lightroom 6, use the menu file-> Open Catalog command and select the 5 Lightroom catalog file.

  Jly 2015: upgrade to Lr6 on Win7 desktop PC and on Win7 PC laptop but it only used on vacation

  Sep 2015: catastrophic collapse of desktop PC, replaced by Win10 desktop PCs.  Lr6 perfectly OK.

  2015 Dec: Laptop computer Win10 replaces the old laptop.  LR not disabled.

  April 2016: Lr6 new computer laptop, OK on the holiday but warning of 30 days limit.  I forgot to do something about it on the way back.

  June 2016: laptop on vacation again, Lr6 30 day limit seems to have restarted!

  Now:

  Attempts to disable Lr6 on old laptop fails as Lr6 won't start at all - gets to the start screen and freezes "not responding".

  The enable option is not apparent on the tab to help on the new laptop computer.

  On the Adobe Web site, the 24/7 Chat option is always closed and telephone support is not available with my Lr6, so I turn to this forum for the best advice:

  I think you should contact Adobe directly by using the Chat system from the link of support on the Adobe home page.

  Put quotes around "cat" in the text search field does not help. Is there something like this which will limit the returns on the specific search term?

  You can search directly by keywords.

  In the filter bar, choose metadata > Select keyword from the drop-down first > choose the keyword with which you want to filter.
