Limit values for Transaction Type LOV in ARXTWMAI in apps11i

Hi everyone,

I want to know if it is possible using the customization feature of the form of apps11i the process of Transaction Type LOV to restrict values in the form of modules of Receivables Transaction.

Is any doc or example regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance

Soni

Hi Soni,

I think what you can do is create a new group record query (use the current request of LOV + restrictions apply) and then the group record assing to the transaction of type LOV. That should do the trick, though according to what you mean by 'limiting values LOV' which could become more or less complicated. If the shape is changing somehow the LOV dynamically, that would be too complicated.

It will be useful.

    Hello

    Is there a way to set the default value in a LOV. Like let him say the LOV gets of the separate to_Char(date_field,'YYYY') in a table. I want the last year is the default value. Currently, since I was the null option also, when the page loads, the lov is always null. I need to change it manually.

    You can easily set the default values for the dynamic element

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/bldapp_item.htm#HTMDB28287

    for example, select the default type in the body of the PL/SQL function and enter the following code

    declare
    v_return date;
    begin
    select max(date_field) into v_return from your_table;
     return to_Char(v_return,'YYYY');
    exception when others then
    return null;
    end;

  • Calendar of the apex; limit values for each day/cell

    Apex 4.2

    I'm working on a calendar widget to my page. The calendar will be specific sectors (using the abbreviation of sector space maximze) for each day. When you use the calendar, I noticed the sectors more you have, the cell for this day will begin to stretch down / vertically. I tried to change this so that a specific day / cell would show only a number of areas. For example, maybe one day 20 sectors are attributed to him, however, I only want to show 5 of them and then a text saying 'See more'. The text 'see more' will eventually be a link, but it's far from being the problem.

    Initially, the request for this was along the lines of:

    select
    the_id, the_date, the_sector, the sector_abbrev
    from Table
    where this = that

    It would show all sectors for all the days on the calendar. Yet once, I wanted to limit the output every day as some days would indicate all 20 sectors (their abbreviations), and some would be 3 or four in function. So to say that there are 30 sectors (10 1st), 4 of the 15, 12 on 20-4 on November 29. I want to allow only five abbreviations of sector which must appear in a cell until the link "see more" appears. I came up with the following query:

    Select
    the_sector_abbrev, the_id, the_date, the sector
    from Table
    where rownum <= 5 and (this = that)
    union all
    Select 'View More', null, null, null
    from dual

    I found that it would be limiting my calendar for showing that four areas throughout the month of November and not for each day / cell on the calendar. I am to discover that 'rownum' is perhaps not the way to go. I don't know how to specify for each of the calendar days rownum. I don't know how to capture every day / the Calendar cell. Maybe I need a more complicated or a subquery where clause. But overall, from my example above, the 1st show four of the sectors and then the link "See more", the 15th would show the four sectors and thats all, the 20th century would show four sectors and her "see more" link and so on.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Just in case if you will not get the correct answer:

    1. If you want to change the value of the Type field loading screen CallDetails:

         File: Custom_InCallDetails.js

         Function: CustomLoad()

         Code: document.getElementById('REF_COMPOSITE').value = NEW_PROB_TYPE_COMPOSITE_REF;

    2. If you want to change the value of the Type field after the call screen is loaded:

         File: Custom_InCallDetails.js

         Function: your_custom_function()

         Code:

    document.getElementById('REF_COMPOSITE').value = NEW_PROB_TYPE_COMPOSITE_REF;

    document.getElementById ("PROBLEMTYPE_REF_COMPOSITE"). CompositeRef = NEW_PROB_TYPE_COMPOSITE_REF;

    This time I did some tests and it seems to work very well.

    There is no default Type-> "SQL query".

    BO123 :

    Change the default value--> "Body of the PL/SQL function" Type and value by default to:

    DECLARE

  • Default value for the select list of type of form elements

    Hello

    I do not work with Apex that mutch, so this may be a simple question... but I still need help.
    I have a form, in this form, I have a question P19_ONTVANGER_ID, this is based on a LOV.
    This LOV is on a table that has a field of username with the value of APP_USER.
    The table looks like:
    ONTVANGER_ID this is the PK and is going to be the return value from the LOV.
    NAME is the display value for the LOV.
    USERID is the column APP_USER.

    What users would like to get is that if they create a new record, the default value for the P19_ONTVANGER_ID field is their own ONTVANGER_ID.
    But they must also be able to select another user.

    hope there is someone out there that can and will help me.

    You can select the Type of default value as the body of the PL/SQL function

    and to add something like that

    declare
    v_return number;
    begin
      select your_id
        into v_return
      from your_table
      where some_column = :APP_USER;

    I want to do is show the display value for one of the search fields in the title of the report (for example, person_name) region. I think to do that I need to create a (hidden) pn_person_name point, then I put & pn_person_name. as a region

    However, how can I get the value of pn_person in pn_person_name display?

    I thought that apex_item.text_from_lov, but don't know how to use it - what elements (types), the calculations / process I need to create...

    Caron:

    You can use javascript to set the value of 'pn_person_name' to display the LOV selection value.
    Set the form field HTML to the elements attributes for the element of selection as list page

    onchange=$s('PN_PERSON_NAME',this.options[this.selectedIndex].text)

    In this case Boolean doesn't help you, you mayneed to create a chain of ownership and have true/false / "" as your list of values

  • How do you define a value for a list item select (LOV) with Javascript?

    I am trying set the values for a group of elements in a dynamic way, based on a selection of a report. Everything works fine, but the selection list.  What I have so far is the following:

    get var = new htmldb_Get (null, $v ('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS is REFRESH_LIMIT_TYPE', $v ('pFlowStepId'));
    var gReturn = get.get ();
    $x('P10014_LIMIT_TYPE').value = gReturn;

    My guess is that a Select list of an LOV is more complicated than a text or a single display element.

    Thanks in advance for your help,

    Jim

    Thank you user - placed you me in the correct district-

    $s ('P10014_LIMIT_TYPE', gReturn); -This update value, but not the displayed value.

    Apparently LOVs require two values ('P10014_LIMIT_TYPE', return_value, display_value) $s;    Then I changed my code-

    ".. gReturn a = 44001, now = ' 44001, ASSUMPTION..."

    var args = gReturn.split(",");

    var r = args [0];

    var d = args [1];

    $s ('P10014_LIMIT_TYPE', r, d);

  • Shuttle value too long for use in LOV sql cascading

    Hello

    On APEX 4.2.2.0.11 & Oracle 10.2.0.5.0:

    I have a shuttle service set up as well as a select list with of LOV cascading.

    The shuttle shows organization name and returns a list of the IDs of the colon separated.

    The selection list shows the so-called events belonging to the organizations selected in the shuttle.

    The selection list is implemented as LOV cascading with the shuttle as a parent element.

    This works fine as long as the length of the shuttle point value does not exceed 4000 characters.

    If so, the LOV - sql select list will give an ' ORA-01704: string literal too long "-error on the instr function ().

    This is the query:

    Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE ORGS

    Join the LIFO ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DNR PART on (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join the TDR ON REGRET (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join the TEST TCT ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    where instr (': ' |: P1_ORG |) ':', ':' || OTE.ID | ') > 0

    order by 1

    Does anyone know how to make reference to the shuttle-value in sql, even if it is longer than 4000 characters?

    Well, I found a way to use LOVs cascading on page elements with values exceeding 4000 characters:

    Let's say I have a shuttle named P1_ORGANISATIE with "List of values" box, a dynamic LOV named "Source: lists of values Query" containing the value:

    Select NAAM as display_value, ID like return_value

    of NINEHAM

    order by 1

    If the number of records-NINEHAM is insufficient, the length of the value of P1_ORGANISATIE, which is a list of concatenated with colon separated digital ID, can exceed 4000 characters.

    Now suppose I have a list of selection called P1_TEST that is connected through "List of values"-> "En cascade LOV Parent article (s)" with P1_ORGANISATIE using a named LOV dynamics with "Source: lists of values Query" containing:

    Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE NINEHAM

    Join the AFDELINGEN ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DEELNEMERS DNR ON (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join TESTDEELNEMERS TDR WE (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join TESTEN TST ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    where instr (":" |: P1_ORGANISATIE |) '':'', '':'' || OTE.ID | '':'') > 0

    order by 1

    In this case, when P1_ORGANISATIE exceeds 3998 characters, you'll get an "ORA-01704: string literal too long"-error and the P1_TEST will show an element called "undefined".

    A way around this is possible because for a named LOV, you can use a "function that returns a sql query" instead of a simple sql query. In other words, we can apply in the context of PL/SQL and thus have maximum for expressions of 32767 instead of 4000 characters. In addition, it is possible to use the two APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE and APEX_COLLECTION.

    Setting "Source: lists of query values" on the LOV appointed to P1_TEST with the following code will work:

    DECLARE

    l_selected APEX_APPLICATION_GLOBAL. VC_ARR2;

    l_qry varchar2 (32767): =.

    "Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE NINEHAM

    Join the AFDELINGEN ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DEELNEMERS DNR ON (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join TESTDEELNEMERS TDR WE (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join TESTEN TST ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    $1

    order by 1';

    BEGIN

    IF: P1_ORGANISATIE IS NULL

    OR LENGTH(:P1_ORGANISATIE)<=>

    THEN RETURN

    Replace (l_qry

    ,'$1'

    ,' where instr (":" |: P1_ORGANISATIE |) '':'', '':'' || OTE.ID | '':'') > 0'

    );

    ON THE OTHER

    l_selected: = APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE(:P1_ORGANISATIE);

    APEX_COLLECTION. CREATE_OR_TRUNCATE_COLLECTION (p_collection_name-online 'ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE');

    FOR id IN 1.l_selected.count

    LOOP

    APEX_COLLECTION.add_member (p_collection_name-online 'ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE'

    p_n001-online to_number (l_selected (id))

    );

    END LOOP;

    RETURN

    Replace (l_qry

    ,'$1'

    ,'join apex_collections ON APC (APC. COLLECTION_NAME = "ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE" AND APC. N001 = OTE.ID)"

    );

    END IF;

    END;

    var currOrganization = $v('P6_SELECT_ORGANIZATION');
    var currPhoneType = $v('P6_ORGANIZATION_PHONE_TYPE');

However, when it is 'List (named LOV) selection' I can not put the value or find a way to simply get a handle to the object. It's $('input[name="f05"]:last') gives "undefined".

    Help, please! This should be the easiest thing in the world.

    -Joe

    Sorry to be a bit slow to get back to you on that. What I think you need to do is:

    addRow();
    $s($('select[name="f05"]:last')[0].id, $v('P6_ORGANIZATION_PHONE_TYPE'));

    User.user $('select[name="f05"]:last') [0] Gets the id of the last select element in the table. The $s function Apex can define elements any kind will set the value of the option contained in P6_ORGANIZATION_PHONE_TYPE.
