  Hi all

  Is it possible to use the default value as sql expression in obiee 11g report?. Actually what I'm trying to make is that we send an ibot users. They want the same default values that are assigned in the command prompt in the report. So when we send the ibot it shows the report for default values assigned in the report criteria which is obsolute. As a solution, I kept the report in a dashboard page and send the dashboard like ibot page. But the problem here is that I can send only pdf format. Is it possible to do so at the level of the report (without using session variables). I want something like that

  I have a prompt Filter column showing values based on sql: SELECT task. "" Saw_0 task name ' OF THE 'Project - Cost' ORDER BY saw_0. This sql works and shows all tasks. However, I would like to have this prompt limits based on the prompt. As the option of limited values.
  
  Example: The user is prompted to select a project. The user has an lov and selects a project (s). Then, I would have the second guest with sql (SELECT task.) ("' Saw_0 name of the task" OF THE 'Project - Cost' ORDER BY saw_0) limit values selected on the first prompt.   If built correctly, you can check the checkbox 'Coercion' to the line of dashboard (you can not use a guest column for that!) and the task list would be forced by the selection of the prompt project.

  Otherwise, you must the guests of dashboard (with 2 'Go' buttons).

  The first prompt will have your projects you need to save a variable presentation, say pv_Project

  In the second line, you click the drop-down "Show" menu and change to "SQL results. Then, you need to add at the end of the SQL statement, which suite:

  WHERE the table. "Project = ' @{pv_Project}"

  I use the following case statement to generate default values in the prompt dashboard based on a condition (the other guest-generated values). Below are two of the query I've tried and the syntax error. I tried all the possibilities (like giving apostrophes, double quotes, don't quote not etc.), but could not understand the question. Don't know what exactly I'm missing here.

  Hello, I use a PXI-6120 with traditional DAQ driver module screws switch a signal of AI to a PFI channel that allows synchronization of area of OCCUPANCY the AI. In the meantime, I tried to reset and to recalibrate the device, which worked in DAQ and DAQmx (not the self-calibration in mx). But I have the impression, that the Council has kind of stuck in a State that I can't easily find and/or access. Does anyone have an idea, how can I do a factory reset, or what could be the problem?   Pull column criteria, which you want to display only last row. Filter Advanced sql apply now to this column as a.
  RCOMPTE ("customer D1". "C1 Cust Name") = MAX (RCOMPTE ("customer D1". " Cust C1 Cust Name name')) here is the column where I applied the filter.
  So, it gives only last row in the name column of the Cust.

• Fast limit values of dashboard

  Hi all

  I had a dashboard command prompt to select a fiscal year. I missed it for the current year. However, it shows all the values, including the coming years (as 2019, 2020, etc.), I wanted to limit the elements of value to < = the current year. I tried the SQL statement:

  

  SELECT 'Calendar fiscal Dimension'. "" FISCAL_YEAR ""BCC - back"WHERE the"Calendar Fiscal Dimension. " "" FISCAL_YEAR ""BCC - rear"< = TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'YYYY') from dual

  but the prompt appears not all values at all.

  Can someone help me to limit the elements in a dashboard command prompt?

• Prompt dashboard value does not pass in the report

  I use OBIEE 10 g. The problem is in Oracle BI answers
  
  I have a guest orders and its report. In the prompt, in one of the column, I use sql result. The sql query is a query of sup of co related where I used the 2 tables. employee_data and employee_region. The reason to use the subquery is that there is no column data_center in employee_data table. He has records for all data_center e.g. USA, UK, IND, AUSTRALIA etc. so I used the query sub with condition that gives the result on a center of particular data (here's of the U.S.) and the output of the query of this sub is entered for the main request. And the guests works very well and gives the correct result
  
  The sql query used for the column in the prompt (in Oracle BI answers) as
  

  SELECT EMPLOYEE_DATA.ENAME FROM EMPLOYEE WHERE EMPLOYEE_DATA.ENAME IN (SELECT EMPLOYEE_REGION.ENAME FROM EMPLOYEE WHERE EMPLOYEE_REGION.DATA_CENTER = 'USA')

  In the report, there are now 2 coulmns. -EMPLOYEE_DATA. ENAME and EMPLOYEE_REGION. DATA_CENTER
  I used the main column EMPLOYEE_DATA. ENAME to filter as a "guest."
  
  The problem is that the value from the prompt is failed at the prompt of the report, what I found. Because, rather than show the result for 'USA' data_center, it also shows the other data_center (UK, IND, AUSTRALIA) data.
  
  How to filter the condition I should use for EMPLOYEE_DATA. ENAME column in the report so that the prompt value will change to the report correctly?

  Hi Kuldip,

  If a direct column is not used in the prompt then it would not strain the direct relationship with column with guest. In your case try using a variable presentation. Define a variable presentation in the command prompt and use the presentation variable to filter the report.

• Reset selection prompt a multiple selection of dashboard in OBIEE 11 g

  I have a line of dash that contains 3 columns that all are configured to enable multi selection and defaults all values.
  
  In 10g, after choosing the some values from the command prompt then press the Go button, I can manually delete all my selection to reset to the default value (i.e. all values).
  
  11 g, however, I am not able to find how do. The reset button is not reset to the default value (i.e. all values). «So what I have to do is to use the clear all the "customization", which erases my selection for all guests.»
  
  Any suggestion on how to do it? Thanks in advance!

  Hopefully, you know very well Multi Select has renamed as a list of choices to OBIEE 11 g and we will have the option "search...". "instead of the"... "button. "to display the selection in the value box, and this option is at the bottom of the list of choices.

• Limit of choice online dashboard

  I am creating a line of dashboard and want to limit the selection that the user is allowed to have.
  
  I am new so bear with me if I'm wrong here.
  
  I have what I think it's a dimension table that lists all the years from 1930-2020. If I use this column to build my answer and use a dasboard prompt list displays all the values of the year.
  Time.YearNum
  
  I have a second table (a table of facts with unique records and dates) with a range of dates from 2007 to 2009.
  VIEW PROFILE. ACCTCLOSEDATE
  
  Under the column view, I try to user 'SQL results'. SQL I get is:
  
  SELECT EXTRACT SEPARATE (YEAR OF THE PROFILE. ACCTCLOSEDATE) PCG
  
  So, I only want to show these years to the PROFILE table. (2007-2009)
  
  But when I discover the dasboard continues to show me all the values from 1930-2020. I do something wrong in this?
  
  What I was trying to accomplish is in other words:
  
  SELECT YEARNUM IN TIME
  WHERE YEARNUM IN (SELECT DISTINCT EXTRACT (YEAR ACCTCLOSEDATE) PROFILE)
  
  Is this possible or am I completely on the wrong track here.

  I created a direct request from the database that accepts input from a prompt by a variable of presentation, either placed in request of db query. I realized in the process that I had to give a default input to the variable of the presentation of the petition. The input variables passed from the dashboard quick came in the right format, only if they are placed in quotation marks, Eg: "Input_Var".

  After all this, I came across a problem when multiple values are entered, the query is generated with an incorrect format. Here is the example:
