I had the same problem of my limited view wifi whenever I connect. After research on the internet for 2 hours and try different options like reset netsh, activate, discovery network, energy-saving change mode, tcip reset, manual ip config, counter download enable etc. nothing worked!

But then I thought to reinstall my WLAN driver. In my case, my computer laptop lenovo had drivers in the path D:\drivers\WLAN. I launched the setup and re-installed and hurrah, I am able to connect without problem now!

  • How can I change the network to a WiFi connection profile in Windows 8?

When I connect to a wireless connection, it automatically assigns me for the Public Profile. But, I know to trust the network and want to select it as private, so that I can use the share.

In previous versions of Windows, it was easy to change the WiFi profile. For example, in Windows 7, I would go to the network share and click on the name of the profile, and it would allow me to change it. Now, in Windows 8, the profile name is static text and is no longer provides a link that allows me to edit the profile.

I tried to remove the profile and add it back, using the context menu on the WiFi network and "forget this network". But he never asks on the profile or sharing when I add the network.

    Try this:

    -Show the charms

    -Select settings

    -Select the network icon

-Right click (using a mouse), or press and hold (with your finger) on the name of the network connection, that you care

-A menu will appear to allow you to control the sharing, so to go from a private and public profile.

  • A WiFi limited access on Satellite A200

    Hello everyone

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1IW

I installed windows 7 and put to update to service pack 1 about 5/6 months ago. It has worked flawlessly since. However, since last week the wifi connection is underway at limited access connectivity. To overcome this or I have to unplug and plug back or troubleshoot it. It works fine for about 2/3 minutes and gets back to limited connectivity. There is no problem with other devices that use the same connection except for my laptop.

I did some research here in the forums, so according to the suggestions I've changed settings of power saving for wifi, updated my driver (intel wireless wifi link 4965AGN) network for the last one on the site to intel. Updated my bios to 2.6 and the problem persists.
This problem is driving me crazy.

    Someone please help

    Hello

I had the same problem. It was related to my router.
I have no explanation for this, but after I reset the router, the problem disappeared.
It would be interesting to know if it would work for you too.

More I recommend you test the WiFi connection using open wireless network.
I mean that you can disable encryption and all the other security settings for testing purposes

  • Laptop connected to 2 ISP networks (Ethernet + wireless) - Wireless Connection shows a "yellow Triangle" - no Internet access

I am facing a network unusual problem with the following network configuration

    1. laptop connected to isps1 via Ethernet - 192.168.0.x (serves as router NAT and DHCP)
    2. same laptop connected to ISP2 network Wi - Fi - 10.1.1.x (router does NAT and DHCP)
3 WiFi connection shows a "yellow Triangle" - no Internet access

    Note:

    1. neither the connections require Sign-In to access the Internet
2 Ethernet is defined on top to control configuration\reseau and Internet\Network Connections\Advanced Settings\Adapters and links
    3 operating system: Windows 7 64-bit SP1
    4. the Wi - Fi network has access to the Internet as other wireless clients can connect to the Internet using the same.
    5. here is the weird part - if I disable the Ethernet adapter on this laptop, the "yellow Triangle" - no Internet access on the wireless connection disappears and he now reports "Internet access".

    6. If I now activate the Ethernet back, connection Wi - Fi card always displays "Internet access"
    7. If I reboot, the problem returns - new shows a "yellow Triangle" wireless connection - no Internet access

    6. the question is not specific to this machine that the same issue is reproducible on another computer with 64-bit Windows 8 installed.

This is expected behavior that has an explanation?
I can provide more information if necessary.

Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

  • WIndows Vista not finding free Wifi connections

I am running Windows Vista on an Inspiron 1420.  I used to connect to open wifi connections and now windows won't recognize that my connection at home I put in place manually.  I can see the other connections wifi with my computer, but windows will not recognize them.  This function is used to work and now it won't.  Any help would be great?

    KristinTX,

I've been on the Forum and it seems that there are many people who have problems with the WiFi Catcher on an Inspiron 1420. You can see their support Forum.
    http://en.community.Dell.com/forums/default.aspx?GroupID=9

However, there are a few things you can check.
    (1) did you use Dell QuickSet to enable and configure the switch to control WiFi network connections?

This seems to be one of the conditions for their WiFiCatcher to work.
    (2) have you used the BIOS (System Setup program) to control WiFi network connections?
    (3) you have the BIOS update for your Inspiron 1420 system? The latest version is A10 with a date of 01/07/2009.
    (4) I recommend that you check all the driver updates especially for networking to see if this will help your question.

I do not know if these suggestions will help, but it's something you can try.

  • WiFi connection limited Windows 8.

    Hello

Since yesterday I can not connect to my wireless internet. It keeps showing 'limited connection '. It shows it on my laptop, 2 other laptops in this end of housework and my two phones will work perfectly on WiFi connection. My phone is a Samsung ATIV Book 4. With Windows 8. Network adapter: Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6235. I've had it before and rinse my ip / dns worked. Does not work at the moment. All the commands prompt cmd and none work because of "access denied" trying even if I run it as administrator. Or reset by turning the power switch router does not work either.
    Thanks in advance!

There are a few problems with this wifi adapter that Intel strives to difficulty.  They have recently published an updated for her driver.  Can you try to install the updated driver and see if it solves your problem?

Drivers for Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235

On this page, you will see 4 download options; two are for 32-bit computers and two for 64 - bit.  I think the Samsung ATIV Book 4 you have is 64 bit, but you can check by pressing on + Pause/break on your keyboard and the popup will tell you.

Therefore, I recommend that you download the driver with the name of the Wireless_16.7.0_e64.exe file that will contain the driver and system of wireless configuration of Intel they call "Pro/Set.
