Lines on screen flicker

My brother just re-formatted my laptop. Since then, if my computer is closed (all on), and then I opened it I get vertical flashing green on the screen - I then reboot the computer and it goes. Its weird cause they always disappear once I restart the computer. If this could have something to do with the thing any re-formatting? Might be that I need a certain driver that I have more? I thought that if the screen is broken so it'd all the time even after that I restart the computer, but it doesn't.

Maybe someone knows...

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your number cell phone model > get the latest graphics and video drivers for Vista from here.

If this does not work, it may be a default graphic problem.

  • G580 screen flicker to black and heavy pixelation

So I have a laptop G580 which is in good condition and recently updated.

About a week and a half, I noticed that my screen flicker and would become very pixelated with color and sparkle black (I've included a photo). Usually, he would go back to normal, but occasionally, he would continue to flicker and pixelation. Move the screen does ' t affect the problem, restart sometimes helps, and I did scans of material that came back clean. (Programmes of work like nothing is wrong, it's just the screen) Nothing in my laptop seems to be brocken so I don't know what is happening.

Please help because it seems to be happenong more often!

That's what the screen would look like:

If you can find a good shop 'good reputation' that offers you a free diagnosis, that may be your best option. Usually, it's a simple solution, if it is the LCD cable. If it is the graphics card, it's more expensive, but less than the cost of a new laptop.

You can contact Lenovo directly to inquire about the warranty and if it will cover your current number before you pull the trigger on the repair.

    Good luck.

  • Yoga 2 Pro big screen flicker followed in black

    Hello

Does anyone else get this problem? I don't think it's the same screen flicker that is experienced by a few others because of problems of auto brightness...

It flashes black and then all cela turns is not responding after awhile... and although the video shows what is happening in a low light environment, I had this encounter for a beautifully lit place as well...

    Any thoughts?

I've posted a copy of what is really going on google reader.

Is this a case of problems of motherboard? I just got my laptop about 3 weeks ago.

No chance for an exchange of 1-1?

Can we go to the Intel Graphics Control Panel, press power button and then go to "on battery" tab. 'Panel auto refresh' option is enabled? If it is then disable it. This option makes the Board consumes less power, gives better battery life, but there the exact symptoms every now and then.

If you have installed Yoga graphic driver actions then download the most recent Intel, install it and turn this option off.

To install the new driver, you have to uninstall the old, otherwise it will not allow you to install a new. To uninstall it go to Device Manager, display the properties of the driver, uninstall button driver.

If this does not work then I don't know, is probably a hardware problem better trying to get a replacement.

  • Satellite C660D-16F - horizontal lines on the screen flicker

    Hello
I'm having a problem with lines flickering cityscape randomly appearing on the screen during a random time (during all kinds of situations, video playback web browsing, the CPU usage high or low, etc.). A very similar behavior can be seen on these videos:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=wdipBbRzjSc
    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=1F2H2vaROqM

The motherboard has been changed already nothing doesn't.
From sources around the internet the best current estimate for a cause is the management of advanced power, which dynamically changes the basis (in CPU or GPU) transmission. The deactivation of these (turing off PowerPlay, affecting feeding Windows for maximum performance management, etc.) does not help.

The issue has been present for months. only 1 BSODS happened, perhaps caused by a directx / display driver problem do not know if there is a link.

Still could not reproduce the problem (I tried universal stress tests, tests of cpu / memory-vga, etc.). The question is very random.
System: Windows 7 Prof 64 bit, the latest drivers from the toshiba Web site.

    Any ideas?

I ve checked this video but I n t see anything.

On this virtual path is not easy to discuss these issues, but what I want to know is to follow:
Have you tried to connect the external display and check if the same thing happens again?

In my opinion, these questions may be result from dysfunction of the graphics card. To find out what the problem may be you need time and more stable. Get the second HARD drive, put it in your laptop, install original Toshiba recovery image and test several days with the factory settings.

If the same happens again material, it must be related issue.

  • X 300 partial screen flicker and solid colored lines

Hi all.  Just opened my X 300 tonight to find the lower left quadrant of the screen flashes and some colored in the upper quadrant, left-right lines.  Half right of the screen is visible but pixelated.  Anyone know if it's fixable?  Cowards, inverter cables?

    Thank you.

It could be the LCD or the cable, but I would say that you repair the laptop through the Lenovo warranty Department. If it is out of warranty, you can still get guaranteed post-warranty service that costs a bit more than in the warranty extension, but much cheaper and easier that play you with it and accidentally damage anything important.

  • Satellite C855 - 29 the screen flicker becomes constant

I wonder if someone could give me some tips about the foregoing.

During the last two weeks my laptop screen was flicker - colored lines transiting via the page until they get darker and darker. It seems to stop or slow down if I move the laptop (usually at the back) Although lately, it will go completely black.

I have the laptop put in place for the automatic stop when I shut the lid and the only solution when the screen becomes black must do exactly that. It will then normally once I open the lid.

I tried Googling a lot of solutions (that much I find completely confusing) and wonder if it could be a wire lose somewhere?

Any help or advice with gratitude would appreciate it because it is frankly :) drive crazy me

    > I have tried Googling a lot of solutions (that much I find completely confusing) and wonder if it could be a wire lose somewhere?

I put t think that it s a connection lost problem.
But to be honest I'm not quite sure if it's just a problem of software/graphics card driver or maybe a serious display problem.

In any case; from my point of view, you must perform some tests. For example, you must uninstall the graphics driver (can be done in the Device Manager) and should download and install the latest available on the European driver Toshiba page.
In addition you should also connect an external monitor to the laptop to check if the same problems of display is visible on2nd, external monitor.

In case the external monitor would be unaffected, the problem is not related to the graphics card or graphics card driver, but without doubt the dysfunctions of the screen internal.
In this case this part needs to be replaced.

  • S10e: External screen flicker

I bought a S10e in Germany, a black version with 160 GB HDD, 1.5 GB of RAM. But since it could be the design function, it could hold for other netbooks as well.

When you connect an external monitor to my netbook, it starts blinking (lines as if you have configured a bad phase to your screen). After changing the position of the wire the flicker is improving, but after some time, step by step, she returned. I've tried several screens external (such as 19 ", 22", 24") with different resolutions. Especially with dark colors, this is really boring.

Someone at - it an idea? I guess it's because of the narrow investment decision-making for the ACplug... Thank you

Finally, he worked with passage to a brand new, shorter and with noise two filters attached by cable.

  • Occasional screen flicker (HP Pavilion dv5-1010us)

    Greetings,

I bought my HP Pavilion dv5-1010us Entertainment pc precisely the Labor Day 2008 due to a current sale.

The screen tends to flicker in mostly white with thin bars of color (reflecting the colours that are supposed to be shown) vertical to the Center and some goes horizontal upward.

The problem arose only recently, and it appears sporadically. Sometimes he just blinks a couple seconds, then returns to normal and doesn't happen for a while. Other times, he'll almost constantly, and I don't see what I'm doing.

Also, sometimes, before or after the screen flashed, thick horizontal bars darken the screen and move up and down several times, vaguely remenisant for when you take a video of television or similar, and horizontal bars scrolling down it.

It seems to happen also only usually when a) the lapotp isn't on a resistant surface, small tremors every now and again because of the surface, and b) whenever I have tilt the screen.

Sometimes, just put the screen to another post he corrects, but most of the time, I just have to wait until it stops flashing.

I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit,

graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9200 M GS

in Device Manager, it says the driver is 'Generic PnP monitor', but he also says that it's the updated driver.

    (Short version)

    Specifications of the computer:

    Vista Home Premium 64-bit

    nVidia GeForce 9200 M GS

    'Generic PnP monitor' pilot

Question: Screen flickers sporadically mainly white with a few fine lines color when the laptop screen is tilted or unstable and sometimes at very random times.

    The problem only recently.

I called earlier to HP support. (Sometimes at the begginning of the month).

There was nothing that they could do over the phone, so they sent me a box on 2 days shipping from FedEx.

Got the box and sent my laptop. They received it the 7 and 8 sent using FedEx. I got it on the 10th.

From what I can tell, it's a brand new screen. The top of my laptop (the back of the monitor) had a few minor and cosmetic scratches in the surface of the it normal wear and tear when I sent it. When I got the laptop repaired, there is a movie on top of the laptop (the back of the screen). I peeled off the power, and there is no scratches whatsoever.

Certainly it's even portable, although (my touchpad has a few marks on it, too, normal wear and tear.) I often use this machine. ). Therefore, a new screen.

The left side is also is no longer loose at all, and it works exactly as it should.

I used every day since I got back and have had no problems or issues at all the.

The only solution seems to be to send in, unfortunately. On the positive side, however, it only took about 7 business days after I got out the phone with them for me to have the back already.

I called on a Tuesday evening has obtained the box this Thursday evening when I'm off work, he left FedEx on Friday, they got it on the following Tuesday, and he had fixed and shipped Wednesday, for me to have received this Friday.

In short, it is a pity that the screen stopped working properly, it was not too scary to little more than a week without it.

  • flickering horizontal lines on screen

I have a HP Pavilion dv5 series laptop PC with nVidia 512 mb graphics card now, I suffer from the problem of the screen. all over the screen horizontal colored lines flicker appears during labor. and if I'm going to close and open the screen for 2 - 3 times, to specific directions of the lines of the screen, but after 2-3 minutes, it is once again. 2-3 friends have the laptop series dv and they also suffer the same problem. can someone tell me the solution. There is a problem in the screen or the problem in the graphics chip?

Navigate to your model, as shown in the screenshot, make sure you are connected before you click the link.

I chose the one for Intel processors, but you have AMD. Yours is a model TX, so it does not show the specifications. Click on the appropriate one. When you get to the page with the video, give it time to load, you'll find "Cable of the LCD Panel" in the left column.

It is a big job, you can provide a reliable repairperson, do not send to HP. The guy at the shop will also have an opinion as to what is wrong.

According to me, that for the cable part number is 493020-001. When I went to e - bay that a bunch come _ buy a new, not used.

    http://www.eBay.com/Sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.M570.L1313&_nkw=+493020-001+&_sacat=0

The best way to ensure you get just is to disassemble your machine and check visually with the seller. HP is known to enter the part number wrong or anything, I had to dig a little to find yours. The part must be also directly on the cable as well.

Here is your manual as well if you need it.

I got a brand new iPhone6 (2 days) on the Apple Store. • Lines on screen Macbook

Picked up my Macbook to the table and these lines appeared. First time that's ever happened.

Any info on what happened actually technically?

    Thank you.

The best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.  The assessment will be free.

You can connect a monitor on the MBP.  If the monitor image is good, the display or the connection to the screen is defective.  If the monitor is the same as the display, the GPU is the prime suspect.

    Ciao.

  • Toshiba Satellite U400 - purple lines on screen

Hi, I had my laptop for about 2 years now, and recently, I noticed that when the screen is dark (as a background or black background dark) purple blurry horizontal lines appear at the top of the screen. Like at the top of 2 millimeters of the screen.

I also noticed that when I put pressure on the area around the touch pad the screen begins to glitch out and go spastic. Like all the purple lines. Especially around the bar at the bottom of the screen.

If I set the background to white lines disappear however and the affects to put pressure on the area around the touch pad are much less visible (if at all, I have to test it more)

Also when I plug in an external monitor (VGA) there is no problem on the external display.

So my question is, someone knows something similar and also it would be a software or hardware problem? And what do I do now?

    Thank you

Looks like a hardware problem. If the screen deforms when the base is pressed, then the graphics chip is probably defective. An FSL may quote you a new Mainboard.
