link text and window open browser

Hello
I've successfully done this by clicking on an image using 'open window' behaviors to open a larger version of the image and I would do the same thing with a text for example a link "click here for the terms and Conditions" and open this web page in the same way, setting the width, height, etc.. I can't do it. Any help gratefully accepted!
Thank you much in advance.

An easy way to follow the sage advice of James, once you have added in the open air
Behavior of a browser to your link window, is to run the free Extension for DW
divaFreeTools on your page. It will update the DW OpenBrowserWindow
Behavior to work correctly when javascript is disabled and helps search engines
find your linked page/picture.

  • How can I delete the history, except the tabs and windows open?

    Hi, I don't find a way to remove all my firefox history, except the tabs and windows open.
    I couldn't find any solution on the Web. I have tried almost all the settings in the privacy settings, nothing works. any ideas how to do that, or maybe suggestions for Add ons?

    As long as you clear the history manually and not through 'Clear history of Firefox closing' then you must keep open tabs and windows.

    Firefox creates a sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder?

    You can check the prefs of . browser.sessionstore * including browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash on the topic: config page and reset the browser.sessionstore prefs that are correct (in bold) user via the context menu in the default value to make sure that the Session Restore is enabled and functional.

  • You can link text to conduct "open in new browser window"?

    Newbie here... the title question. I know you can link an image in this way, but you can do it with text?

    Yes.  The way in which PDF files are processed depends on parameters computer/browser to the end-user, plug-ins installed, etc...  In some cases, the PDF file will launch in the browser window.  In other cases, it can download on the user's hard drive or it can launch in Acrobat (if they have).  Too many unknown variables here...

    The best advice I can give you is to keep it simple.  A link directly to your PDF file and use target = "_blank" to open it in a new window or tab.  And be gentle with your site visitors, tell them that it is a PDF file and about what is the size of the file in KB.

  • When you open an external link, a new window opens and displays the home page

    Updated to the latest version (36.0 Linux) and now whenever I open a link from an external application to be steam E-mail IRC or any other source, instead of the page is displayed a new window will open and then load the home page. I tried the default browser to something else (which opened the links correctly) switching and vice versa, safe mode and even a refresh, but the problem persists.

    I found this in the bug tracker.

    Apparently it seems to be a problem with an old hack in XFCE or desktop environments possible on X in general, which is no longer supported in Firefox 36. A solution fast until they solve this problem, is to open a new terminal and enter:

    sudo gedit /usr/share/xfce4/helpers/firefox.desktop
    (replace gedit by any other text editor you use)
    .. .and change the last two lines:
    X-XFCE-orders = %B - distance "openURL (about: Virgin, new window)"; %B;
    X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = %B - remote "openURL (%s)"; %B %s;
    to read:
    X-XFCE-orders = %B;
    X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = B %%s;
    then save the document, of course.

    This solves the problem for me immediately.

  • How can I restore my tabs and windows, open or closed, when all else fails?

    It's not so much a question, an answer that some people desperately need.

    Since the Version 34, Firefox has done a superb job to restore the tabs created by the user, application or restart Firefox (if this option is chosen).

    The details of how to restore the tabs are covered using base online and even Firefox how to deal with several accidents now (for example, as an addon) ruin the normal backup file are also well explained.

    However, today I accidentally pressed Alt + F4 twice on my keyboard ill-conceived and closed my main window, with 93 tabs and another window of Firefox as well. I'm not sure that's exactly what happened, but I lost all my tabs 93.

    I read a lot of posts where people give suggestions, but none worked. Whenever I've restored a sessionstore.js file version saw the same lonely empty tab Restoring prefs.js did nothing, and not more than to changes in internal configuration constants.

    I tried refreshing / reset Firefox (which preserves the bookmarks), but I couldn't always restore the tabs. It was now clear that the problem was in sessionstore.js (and all its backups) for sure.

    I write for people who must restore their windows or tabs and don't mind be technical on this subject. This is my situation.

    The solution was to realize that the sessionstore.js file contains the JSON code, which is an effective way to represent integers and strings arranged in a tree structure.

    I thought that there must be a JSON Editor somewhere and it turns out there is a great available online, at www.jsoneditoronline.org . It can read a file on your computer, edit it, then save it to your computer.

    As soon as I read sessionstore.js in the editor, it was obvious, easy how this was going to be. The top level of the tree is understandable. Simply, I grabbed the data representing the window with 93 tabs and dragged in the list of the closed windows of Firefox in the list of open windows. This automatically moved the history of each tab and even strings entered in forms.

    After copying sessionstore.js to Firefox profile, I started Firefox once more. Reading Pandora reported that my tabs were back and running once more.

    Now, change the JSON code isn't something that everyone is ready for. And your problem may not be reflected in the JSON tree so simply. But, for the technical spirit of people who do not want to lose their tabs or windows to a mistake or an accident, this technique may be just what it takes when all else fails.

    This seems very practical. Make itself comfortable. A kind of backup would be
    Create a folder in the Bookmarks Manager and make a list of links here.

    Just a note. The sessionstore file shows the last windows / tabs that
    are open. Because the window with 90 tabs has been closed in the first place, then the
    other, that's what caused the problem.

    Please change the title of the post by adding == solved == to it. Others may think
    you ask for help, not offering is not a solution.

  • Menu button linked text and images

    Hello

    I am currently a student run Digital Film Making and at this stage we are taught how to use DVD Studio Pro. We currently create that when you have a button selected (but not active), it will display an image and text in this menu telling you a little bit what this button will link to menus, of course, when you move the text to a different button and the image will change. I'm trying to achieve this in again no one knows if this is possible and if so how?

    See you soon,.

    Gordon

    Still does not provide a simple version of this technique. You can simulate it by having the autoactivate button and go to a menu with only the image/text you want different duplicate.

    I suspect many users would like this as a feature in Encore. He is asked about often.

  • Two issues I think are linked: connectivity and Windows Firewall status. Service dependency dose not exist or has been marked for deletion.

    I reinstall a Menory card to check the weather it was defective. I also reset CMOS as part of the process. (Recommended HP) I found that the card was faulty. After reboot, I had security alerts that Windows Firewall did not work. And also unable to connect to the Internet.  I restarted the Sprint after disconnection and reconnection there. (USB) I was able to get the Internet, but the red X connection
    on the screen in the taskbar never changed to "land". Hovering on it said "dependence on the dose of service not exist or has been deleted. Everything I tried for this problem, either online or offline has failed.
    Pretty much the same thing for Windows Firewall, I can't change the settings, turn on and dosen't snap so. Eror code 0x6D9. Also get code MSSvcservice 87 (0 X 609). Both are still declining. Can't get in Windows Firewall / Advanced to change settings or turn on firewall. Cannot find Microsoft Firewall Client ISA server, look like, go.
    Right now I'm pretty frustrated, been working on this a day and half and I'm pretty well lost.

    Problem fixed, would run recovery.

  • Color text and size can be changed using the commenting tools

    Hello, I have problems by changing the color of the text and the size of the comments when using the commenting tools.  I used to be able to do this by placing the cursor over the text and by opening the text properties bar, but the text properties bar has ceased to appear even when you select Crl + E.  When you use a text box, I can get the properties of the text box bar pop up; then I pass the text inside the text box and the text properties bar, however, I am not able to adjust the color, size and type of police.  Help? The text parameter might have accidentally set to default?  If so, that is editable?

  • popUp2 vs window.open

    Hi guys,.

    I'm developing windows pop up in my application. I see a lot of devs using window.open for this function. My old applications use rather popUp2 function. Both work fine, however I have not found any documentation on popUp2.

    The question is what is the differece between these methods and which is recommended to use?

    Thank you

    Elena

    PopUp2 is legacy.js:

    /**
    * @deprecated
    * @function
    * */
    function popUp2(pURL,pWidth,pHeight) {day = new Date();pName = day.getTime();html_PopUp(pURL,pName,pWidth,pHeight);}

    As you can see, it is marked with "obsolete", then you should not use it. It uses html_PopUp:

    /**
    * @deprecated Use apex.navigation.popup
    * @function
    * @param pURL
    * @param pName
    * @param pWidth
    * @param pHeight
    * @param pScroll
    * @param pResizable
    * @return {Window Object}
    * */
    function html_PopUp(pURL,pName,pWidth,pHeight,pScroll,pResizable)

    Also deprecated. Fortunately, it offers the alternative apex.navigation.popup

    Unfortunately, namespace navigation is not one described in the online documentation. It seems strange that popup.close could be documented, and not the logon method, but the file has no documentation either (again, even if it is the tag TODO).

    If you are uncomfortable with javascript, you can dive into the library file, found in the images folder: images\libraries\apex\navigation.js

    Here's what it does:

        /**
         * @TODO Add documentation
         *
         * @function popup
         * @memberOf apex.navigation
         */
        navigation.popup = function ( pOptions ) {
            var // Initialize default parameter values
                lOptions = $.extend( {
                                url:        "about:blank",
                                name:       "_blank",
                                width:      600,        //min value 100
                                height:     600,        //min value 100
                                scroll:     "yes",
                                resizable:  "yes",
                                toolbar:    "no",
                                location:   "no",
                                statusbar:  "no",
                                menubar:    "no" },
                                pOptions),
                // Open the new window with those parameters
                lWindow = window.open(
                    lOptions.url,
                    lOptions.name,
                    "toolbar="      + lOptions.toolbar      + "," +
                    "scrollbars="   + lOptions.scroll       + "," +
                    "location="     + lOptions.location     + "," +
                    "statusbar="    + lOptions.statusbar    + "," +
                    "menubar="      + lOptions.menubar      + "," +
                    "resizable="    + lOptions.resizable    + "," +
                    "width="        + lOptions.width        + "," +
                    "height="       + lOptions.height
                );

            if ( lWindow.opener === null ) {
                lWindow.opener = window.self;
            }
            lWindow.focus();
            return lWindow;
        }; //popup

    So how do you use it? Look at the lOptions object, and you know what parameters it can work with. A call for example for the popup would be:

    apex.navigation.popup({url: "f?p=500:1000", width: 500, height: 600, resizable: "no"});

    It is certainly more flexible than PopUp2!

    Also note that navigation.popup returns a reference of 'window' to the created window. You can store this reference to manipulate or something.

    Another interesting thing is that this call will set the variable "opener" on the window to the parent window. This allows you to use

    window.opener

    refer to the parent page.

    That's the difference. On those, it's reasonable to use apex.navigation.popup. If you want to use window.open, it's fine. They call them he and window.open is the native javascript of course method. But navigation.popup provides some additional features, unless you want to develop a second time or have very specific needs, it might be the way to go.

    Another option is by looking at the modal windows - but it depends on what you actually do on the indicated page. Modal windows with iframes of them can look very good, don't open additional tabs or windows and are not blocked by popups blockers. They feel more like an extension of the application only one pop-up window. You'll need some javascript wiz to use well. A good modal plugin page is the page modal plugin skillbuilders, something you can take a look at. There are many examples out there!
