Link to an interactive report AND apply a filter

Hi all

I want to create a link to an interactive report in another report. I would like to have the IR filtered by identifier which is the link in the first report?

Possible?

Hello

Interactive report supports dynamic filters. This is the condition of filter that can be applied dynamically

IREQ_ Equals (this is the default) same as IR_
LT_ Less than
IRLTE_ Less than or equal to
IRGT_ Greater Than
IRGTE_ Greater than or equal to
IRLIKE_ SQL Like operator
IRN_ Null
IRNN_ Not Null
IRC_ Contains
IRNC_ Not Contains

Also RIR can be used to creset all the previously applied filter. e.g
f?p=&APP_ID.:&PAGE_ID.:&SESSION.:::RIR:IR_EMPNO:7369 will filter the report on given page with employee number = 7369

Thank you
Manish

  • Link to the interactive report with comma

    Hello

Anyone know how to create a link that will go to an interactive report and add a filter when the filter value contains a comma?

The URL I have looks like this...
    f? p = & APP_ID.:40: & APP_SESSION.:CIR:IREQ_Name:Guy, some:

The problem is considers the value past the comma is for another article. I tried %2C with no luck.

With javaScript, you need to escape the backslashes. Put two slashes return each place that you are currently using one.

  • Apex 5 - where can I configure the link column for interactive report?

    Using APEX 5 on apexea.oracle.com

I can't work where the attributes of column layout link for an interactive report using the interface of the designer of the Page?

    Thanks in advance

    PaulP

    Paul,

the customer_id column is defined as a hidden at the Start column, and then there is no attribute of link for this column type. You must define the type 'Link' to get the attributes. There is no attribute of link on "Plain text" either.

  • A link to an interactive report of APEX

Forgive me, I'm very new to Oracle Application Express. I installed the latest version (v4) of application Express on my laptop and it is run on the Oracle 10 g XE database which is also installed on this laptop.

If I have an existing Java based site (which is not an APEX based application), can I have within my site links that open interactive APEX reports (that I built)?

Can you point me in the right direction for the documentation or Web site that explains how to do this? I want to be able to just a link to an interactive report of the APEX and opened it without asking to specify a user name and password work space.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Wes

    Hi Wes,

    Welcome to request Express!

These interactive reports are public (the user should not need to log-in to an application to see)? If so,.

    (1) make sure that the page containing the interactive report is set authentication = Page is public.

    (2) to obtain the URL of the application of the ApEx up to through the ' f? p = xxx' part. For example, the URL to application 101 on my local instance of ApEx on XE is "http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 101".

    (3) add ":" and the number of the page that contains the interactive report to that and you have the URL of the page. For example, if my interactive report page 5, the URL will be "http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 101:5. If you need to pass parameters in the report to say, limit information - you can send the URL. Take a look at aid to the title of the Application Builder Concepts > understanding URL syntax for more information on how to proceed.

Hope this helps - good luck,
    John

  • link to the interactive report with filter

I tried to put in place a link to an interactive report in passing along a filter setting using the method described in the user guide. I've tried everything I can think of to make it work, but the report always ends by displaying as unfiltered. I don't get any errors, I don't see any filtering. I tried to directly modify the URL and adding the filter data (that is, add IREQ_ParentSeqID:2 to the URL) and I also tried to pass the filter data by creating a branch from another page and have the branch collar data. In both cases, I was unable to make it work. When I create the filter directly in the report, it works fine. Here is a sample
    URL: / f? p123:1302:3440331697632217:no:IREQ_ParentSeqD:2

The URL takes me to the correct page but no filtering occurs. Here is the definition of the column in the interactive report:
    Column name: ParentSeqID
    Column type: NUMBER

    I'm under APEX version 3.2.0.00.27

    Dale,
What happens if you remove the EQUALIZATION of the setting? Theoretically, it shouldn't matter, but I always send my equals as just IR_COLUMN and it works fine.

    You can try f? p = 123:1302:1023072115021841:NO:IR_ParentSeqID:25

and see if that makes a difference? Just a shot in the water.

If this does not work, try to delete the alias for the moment and sending the column full name and see if that makes a difference. I wonder if its because your alias is in a specific case (per the "")

  • Interactive report and branch back JS error

I get errors in applications where I combine search engine with interactive report.

Search form, I got hit research and management in the definition of application when this button is clicked.

After that, I show area with interactive report (condition is "request = Expression 1"), but after that I'm getting various JavaScript errors when I start using report functions.

    One of them is:

    http://shrani.si/f/37/fv/4NxVgKRO/ireporterror.png

I get this error when start using the interactive report features (Select column, filter, download,...).

I tested in all browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox).

    I created a sample application:

    Test of IReport

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=23423423:1

    Workspace = carine

    User name = [email protected]

    Password = carine

The problem is with the type of condition on the report. You sense that she only show when the query is set to "Search FOR", but this causes calls ajax to failure - where the javascript errors. It's a little a thorny problem honestly. It's probably because ajax calls do not have this defined demand value (they probably their own value request to work, more a request value is not persistent in any case) that they simply can't.

To work around that, I copied the page to page 5 and used instead something to test in condition. Then knit popups and you don't get more of these javascript errors.

  • How to remove the link to the interactive report columns!

    Hi all

I'm building an interactive report based on pl/sql block.

In the report, I get the columnnames with link (underlined). I'm confuse when I have the chance to see the names of columns like AGE_SEX, AGE_SEX_

When I see these columns of interactive report, it seems to be as same as the underline covers underscore.

Is their anyway I can remove the link to the interactive report columns.

I selected the link column exclude from the column heading in the report but still attack link gets the link in the column.

    Appreciate your help.

  • Interactive report based on sysdate filter

    Hello

I have an interactive report in an APEX 4.0 application. One of the columns in the report is a date field to date in the format "MM/DD/YYYY". I want to install a filter on the report so that the report displays only records where the date is the system date. How can I do? I don't want to install the filter on the side of the query.

    Thank you
    Machaan

    Machaan,

You could do this with a filter of lines.

    (1) for the execution of your interactive report, go to Actions-> filter
    (2) type of filter, select the option 'Row '.
    (3) enter an expression such as: TRUNC (E, 'DD') = TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'DD')

Obviously, your filter would replace 'E' in the above expression with the right letter for your specific date column.

  • Colon in link with the interactive report

    Hello

I have two interactive reports which are connected by link column on one of the columns, the problem is that some of the values contains a colon

for example, the value is ABC: 123 , but the linked report a value = 'ABC' is generated in the filter

So I can see there are many sons and based on those I can escape the string using APEX_UTIL. URL_ENCODE so now I get Value = 'ABC % 3 A 123' in the filter that is still nothing.

So I think on the interactive report, I need to somehow convert the return value on the page so the interactive report can deal with it, but I don't see how to do this and I can not find all threads that deal with these.

I don't want to use an element on the page to filter the report the report is sometimes access directly and it would act/look different to other pages where we have it but don't have the problem that these values have no settlers. I can't remove the colon as they come from an external source.

    We use the apex 4.1

  • How to align the previous next page link in an interactive report?

    Hello

interactive report navigation, links between pages are displayed at the bottom right. This becomes a problem if the report has many fields, as long as the user must do scroll down and go down to get the previous page by pressing the link (IE (< =) 15-30 (= >)). How is it possible to have this links left-aligned in a report, or put them in another part of the report?

    TIA

    Hello

You can set the display Position of the Pagination of the IR with
    -BottomRight (default)
    -TopLeft
    -TopRight
    -TopAndBottomRight
    -TopAndBottomLeft
If this is not enough, you must use some top of javascript (jQuery prefs) move the object to where you want...

  • Calculations in APEX 4.2 on the interactive report and the update form

    Hello

I know that people have asked similar questions, but I was not able to do this work. I'm doing some fairly simple math (addition, multiplication) in an application. I have 2 fields (VALUE_A, VALUE_B). I can get the addition and multiplication work in the interactive report, but I also need that it works correctly in the form of update. I also need update form to work dynamically so that if the values are changed, the correction calculated response is shown immediately on the update form and then reflected in the interactive report. I tried the dynamic action, with and without javascript without result. Any help would be appreciated.

    ADD dynamic action

    After refresh of region

    Set value

    ELEMENT the VALUE to change

check the fire on the load

    To source, use expression JavaScript

    If ($v ("P2_TEST_1")! = null & $v ("P2_TEST_2")! = null)

    {

We had a need to prevent shooting during the loading of the page of an interactive report. There are a number of messages from the forum for this but, for the most part they came down to this:

    1. Create a page element and include a test for its value in the SQL source of your interactive report, for example P1_RUN_SUPRESSOR = 'RUN '.
    2. Initially, set the value of this element so that it prevents the research report of the corresponding lines, for example "DO_NOT_RUN".
    3. When the required criteria has been set, switch the value of the element of the condition for success page and then refresh the report.

It's that everything works as it should. As you can see in the sample application, the report is not filled at the start. When you click the run now button, the value of the P1_RUN_SUPRESSOR went from 'DO_NOT_RUN' on 'RUN' and then the region of report is refreshed. As we expected, the lines are all now populated 'normally '.

However, if you now try to use the upload feature, the content of the report is empty.

Can anyone think of a fix/work around?

    Thank you
