  • Missing standard Navigation toolbar items

Just changed my PC Windows XP on which I've been running Firefox for years, for a new PC with Windows 7 Pro.
Firefox installed on the new PCbut the Navigation toolbar looks different (a dull gray instead of light) & ' Reload, stop charging etc. items are missing.
Tried everthing in the 'Help' menu, but may not cure

"Navigation toolbar looks different (a dull gray instead of light).

"Reload, stop reload etc are missing.

From Firefox 4, the Go, the buttons Stop and reload are combined into a single button at the right end of the toolbar URL or address. The button changes depending on the type of activity:

    • green arrow GB when you type in the address bar
    • Red Stop ("X") button while the page is loading
    • Reload (circular arrow) to gray when the page is finished loading.

    There are separate buttons:

    1. Open the Customize the toolbar by clicking the Firefox button > Option > toolbars OR by clicking View > toolbars > customize if using the menu OR bar right click in an empty space on a toolbar and select Customize
    2. Stop and Reload buttons will show separate from the address bar and the search bar
    3. Drag the buttons anywhere on the Navigation toolbar
      • order Reload-Stop will bring together into a single button
      • order Stop-Reload will remain in separate keys
      • or drag a "separator" in the window customize between Reload-Stop and that they remain separated
    4. Click done at the bottom right of the window customize to finish

  • The orange Firefox button and the Navigation toolbar is on the same line

Someone interfered with my Firefox settings and goofed a bit. Now the orange Firefox button and the Navigation toolbar are on the same line/line, as shown in the image below. Can you help me with the Firefox orange button at the top of the Navigation toolbar (as usually is the case)?

    http://PUU.sh/4NoO8.jpg

Thank you very much! I had this same problem. I'd rather have my tabs at the top, in line with the orange. For some reason any that an add-on reset my 'browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar' to false, which looked horrible and wasted a whole bar of space by the presence of a large space empty on the top of my screen. It fixed my problem!

  • After the upgrade to 20.0 FF (Ubuntu Linux), some of the icons to the right of the search box on the Navigation toolbar disappeared - Springpad, Evernote, etc..

After upgrading to FF 20.0 some of the icons (not the Favicons) to the right of the search box on the Navigation toolbar keep disappearing. The icons are Springpad Clipper, Pocket, Evernote, Ghostery, Greasemonkey extension. Whenever I start FF some (or all) of them are missing. I tried a Firefox "Reset". The first time after the reset, after synchronization, all icons appeared. The second time (now) the Springpad icon disappeared.

  • Why the navigation toolbar now required me click on an arrow, rather than hitting 'enter', to go to a Web site?

I use internet since it started, and I've always been able to type a Web site address in the navigation toolbar and then click 'Enter' to enter the site. Yesterday, I clicked on the update for Firefox, and since I was not able to get on a site like this; Instead, I have to use the mouse to click an arrow at the end of the navigation bar. It's redundant for me because I use the keyboard. Why anyone would change that in the first place? If I'm not able to return to the standard navigation method, then I'm going to explore.

This problem may be caused by the AVG Safe Search extension.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Hold the tab behavior to be same with IE by clicking on the links in the bookmarks toolbar

In IE, when I click on a link to the bookmarks toolbar, it opens this link in the tab in which I am working. In Firefox, however, it always opens a new tab. I'd rather have Firefox behave as it opens a new tab when I've specifically it asked to do so, or when a URL linked to a page that would normally open a new window (in this case I prefer to open a new tab instead - and I found where = that = parameter is but has no effect on my particular problem).

Note: can I asked this before but I either lost the information, or did the change once my system and I forgot about it. I'll put up a portable newly bought after my "old faithful" gave the soul after four years of long and satisfactory service. I will miss greatly.

    Hello, Steve.

Normal behavior of Firefox is to open Favorites in the current tab. You may have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, make sure that it's not one of your modules installed, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode , and then select disable all add-ons. If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins in the same way.

If you want supported for one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.

  • Not able to move the navigation toolbar buttons.

Buttons toolbar navigation like the previous, next, Reload, Stop, home etc. are spread over the entire toolbar. Earlier, they used to be contributed. Clicking on home or reload as easy that simply takes the pointer to the top left corner of the screen and clicking on the button. Now, I need to really start to hunt for the home or the button reload if I need to use. Please we can club these buttons on the side of the page so that you don't have to look anywhere in the toolbar?

To avoid interference between the versions, use a profile for Firefox 4.0 beta and you keep the profile for Firefox 3.6. He will probably solve your problem.

If you want to move the items from the toolbars (buttons, icons), go to the Firefox menu, select the arrow to the right of the Options, then select Toolbars... You can now move the elements of the toolbar or add new items in the window toolbar Customize drag-and - drop. Close the window to customize the toolbar to the elements of the lock.

  • Link to goto navigation toolbar does not

We create a custom library, and I want to be able to link the html code of the library to one of the icons custom navigation toolbar we created.

I tested the custom icon works but I can't seem to HTML code of the custom library, we have created a link to it.

    I tried to use < a href = "goto://ApplicationViewState/contentviewer" > element content viewer toolbar open < /a > and < a href = "goto://contentviewer" > toolbar of the viewer open point content < /a > or work.

If I change the link http://www.Yahoo.com it works

This is the navigation screen point from the manufacturer of the app. (v32)

Goto: / / URL does not work in custom locations. Use instead the goToState API: Adobe DPS - library and store SDK 2.32: adobeDPS-ApplicationState: JsDoc reference.

  • On the Firefox screen, where is the black bar below the Navigation toolbar that alloweded of the specific research in 'Shopping', 'Images', 'Video', 'News', etc. Now, it appears only after a search.

If I remember correctly, old versions of Firefox had a black bar below the navigation bar on the opening screen that allowed specific searches for 'Images', 'News' 'Cards', 'Video', 'Shopping', etc.
Now this bar only appears when a search has been performed.
Is it possible to customize Firefox, so this appears on the logon screen.
The bar does not have a toolbar name.

Versions of Firefox 4 + use a new build-in home page named Subject: House with a Google search bar on this issue (no internet access required for the loading of this page).

What about: home page only shows a few clips and has a button to restore the previous session, as appropriate.

If you want a home with extras page, and then set a different page than the homepage like www.google.com as used in versions of Firefox 3 or on the iGoogle homepage ([www.google.com/ig]).

  • Search by typing something in the navigation toolbar which results in an error

    Screenshot of the error

This is the error I get every time I try to look for something by typing in the navigation/part URL toolbar. It still shows this error, no matter what I type. I had no such problem on the v3, it worked fine. Any suggestions?

Type of topic: config in the address bar at top, then type keyword. URL in the filter at the top.

And then double-click the entry and remove any that you find in here who will be back for 'Default' and 'String '.

Then close Firefox via file | Output.

Restart and then try to type one of your queries again.
